Just looking to play friendly small games, it does not need to be competitive. But I also don't want to be curbstomped every game even after becoming more skilled at the game. It also probably will stay with just 1.000 points.

Since GW announced last week that a lot of the older Skaven heroes are coming as Made to Order soon, what do you think about the possibility of Vampire models receiving the same treatment? And which models would you look forward to?

I want to build myself a small 1.000pt army, and while I already know which units I want to take in that army, I'm wondering about substitutes from other forces as proxies. I'd like my force to be like a Forgeworld PDF, with both units from the AdMech and regular Militarum soldiers. My question now is, would these substitutes, despite their obvious organic flaws, work as proxies?

I'd use Cadians for Skitarii Vanguard with a commissar as Marshal, a Centaur for a Dunerider, and Sentinels as Sydonian Dragoons.
I've already compared the sizes, and to me, they should work, especially with the right bases.
