Fresh graduate struggling to get my first job, what should I focus on?

I graduated in AI & Data Science in May 2026 and I’m currently looking for my first job. I have internship experience along with projects in Python, SQL, data analysis and ML, but I’m not getting many responses from applications.

I’m applying for entry-level roles, but I’m honestly a bit lost about what I should be doing differently.

For people who recently got their first job, what actually helped you get interviews? Was it referrals, projects, networking, applying differently, improving your resume, or something else?

I’d really appreciate practical advice, especially from people who have been in the same situation.

Also, if you know of any companies currently hiring freshers or come across any suitable openings, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know. I’m happy to share my resume/LinkedIn in DM.

How do you deal with having multiple interpretations when learning Hinduism?

I’ve recently started learning more about Hinduism, especially shlokas, stories, and their meanings.

One thing I’ve noticed is that whenever I learn something, I often come across two or more different perspectives or interpretations. Sometimes they can even seem contradictory.

For example, one person may explain a story from a devotional perspective, while another explains the same story philosophically or symbolically.

I find this interesting, but at the same time I feel overwhelmed and confused because I don’t know which perspective to accept as my own.

How do you approach this when studying Hinduism?

Do you choose the interpretation that resonates with you most, try to understand all perspectives without choosing one, or is there a particular way Hindu philosophy suggests dealing with this kind of uncertainty?

Did anyone else face technical issues during today's Infosys Wingspan assessment?

I was able to solve the first coding question successfully. About an hour later, when I opened the second coding question, the coding editor never loaded and got stuck on "Loading editor...". It started showing errors like player.coding.stubCodeError, player.sampleTestCase.testCaseLoadError, and later even "Bad token; invalid JSON".

Because of this, I couldn't attempt the second coding question. Has anyone else experienced the same issue? If you contacted support, did they reschedule your assessment or provide any resolution?

Infosys Virtual Coding Assessment: Check Your Assessment Portal Before the Test!

I wanted to share this in case it helps someone else.

I received an email from Infosys saying my coding assessment was scheduled, but there wasn't any assessment link in the email. I assumed another email would arrive closer to the test, so I kept waiting.

Just before the assessment, I logged into the assessment portal, reset my password, and realized the test was already there. By then, I had missed the login window and got the TIME408 error saying the login window had closed.

I emailed the recruitment team right away, explained the situation, and thankfully they rescheduled my assessment for the next day.

So if you have an upcoming Infosys assessment:

  • Don't wait for another email with a link.
  • Log in to the assessment portal as soon as you receive the schedule.
  • Reset your password beforehand if needed.
  • Join at least 30 minutes early to avoid missing the login window.

I hope this helps someone avoid the same mistake I made. Best of luck to everyone taking the assessment! 🍀
