RX 6800 vs 9060XT for eGPU

I currently have an egpu setup which I use with a legion go 2 handheld. I have an Rx 6800 (16gb ram) and the connection is via a usb 4 dock.

I could potentially sell and move to an Rx 9060xt 16gb for about €100 more.

Now, I've googled the pure performance of these cards, but was wondering if someone can speak to this specific use case of an egpu over usb4. There's differences in memory bus, etc. but I don't know how any of this translates to advantages or disadvantages for an egpu setup specifically.

With the 9060 ofc I get fsr 4 but if someone technical could compare these two, would greatly appreciate it!

I play on a 4k 55" TV which only does 60hz so I'm looking to upscale / play at that resolution as much as possible and I don't play competitive shooters or muktiplay just single player games AAA.

Handheld USB Dock + eGPU Question

Hi all,

My setup is illustrated in the image. I've got an egpu which reverse charges my Legion go 2 and a usb hub for peripherals that connects through a built on cable out of the dock.

My question is - should I still connect a charger to the usb dock to connect to the USB PD port on the usb dock? It's only low powered devices I connect like dongles etc.

If I don't, the dock still works as it draws the power from my legion go. My question is what is the *correct* and *technically sound and stable* way? I just want to ensure everything is smooth and I'm not putting unnecessary stress or handshake quirks or anything like that.

Thanks for the help!

Funny how things change!

Was going through various handhelds as I tried to find my first and 'perfect' device. Price aside, didn't consider the Lego 2 as I didn't care for the removable controllers and all those extra buttons everywhere. When would I ever detach a controller(Foreshadowing)

Fast forward one surgery on my right hand later and I needed a way to play something with just my left hand. Sold my device and went looking for a go 2. Found an amazing deal on my local marketplace and here we are.

Can remap every key to something on the left controller (with keys to spare) and Octopath II is 100% playable and looks gorgeous

Legion go 2 driver & Adrenlaine

As per the latest legion go 2 graphics drivers the associated AMD Adrenaline is 26.1.1. The latest AMD adrenaline software version is 26.5.1.

My question is - can we update just the adrenaline software (without updating the graphics driver) or would that break things?

Also separately - The Xbox ally X receives driver updates frequently. Is there anyone here using those drivers on the lego 2 without issues?

Legion Go 2 bottom USB port

I have this ivanky dock which I don't want to replace and I was wondering what would be the best solution to use the bottom USB port on the Lego 2?

I use an egpu so I do need both ports to be used at the same time. The only solution far I've seen so far is to possibly get one of those angled USB-C adaptors. But I'm wondering if there was any other solution that I haven't thought of and how other people have solved this problem.

Thanks!
