Can I create a personalised scent using only essential oils and a carrier oil?

I've seen plenty of posts with guides on how to make beautiful fragrances using synthetics and aromachemicals as well as EOs, but other than being super new at creating your own perfumes, at the moment, I don't have the space to be able to afford any meaningful experiments.

Can I use essential oils and a carrier oil (jojoba/shea butter) only for a personalised intimate scent? I am aiming for a simple warm and clean scent that I can use on a daily basis, for my own pleasure. Both roll-ons and firm perfumes can work for me.

If you have any advice on which oils would be good to start with for the desired scent please share!

I adore the sweet warm drydown after spraying a fragrance, but the initial spray is awfully sharp on my skin. Any advice?

As the title says, i have an EDT that sits beautifully on my skin after a few hours, and it feels even better the next day. The problem is, the initial scent probably clashes with my skin chemistry and it just smells awfully sharp and citrusy for hours (the entire time I'm actually out).

Since I can't really spray earlier due to showers before going out, and spraying it on clothes only also has the same effect, does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this?

For reference, I'm using the L'Occitane's Terre de Lumière EDT.

Good Girl Carolina Herrera + L'Occitane's Terre de Lumière?

I've been thinking of getting the L'Occitane's Terre de Lumière EDT, even though the initial spray seems a bit sharp, it blends quickly into a sweet, fresh skin scent for the summer. I like it for everyday wear, but it lacks the depth and sweetness for evening outings.

Since I use the classic Good Girl CH over the winter, and they both have some overlapping notes, could i layer the two even during warmer weather? Maybe just one spray GG for the sensual feeling?

On a side note, is the EDP too heavy for summer?

I adore my boyfriend, but can't stand the scent of his sweat - please help

Hey guys, I've read a lot about this topic and a lot of different experiences, but I'd like to hear your opinions anyhow.

I've been dating this man for a while now, and I absolutely adore him, but we've been really struggling with his body odour. He does his best in terms of personal hygiene, daily showers, different products, regular cleaning in general. It's the scent of his sweat I believe that I can't stand, especially when it's caused by stress.

He's tried to change things in his diet and habits but so far, nothing has made a difference.

There have been days when he smelled very pleasant, but those were still stresfull days where he had his regular diet and routines, so none of us has made a connection with any particular factor of influence.

I know of cases where the build-up of lack of intimacy over time has caused separations, and since I absolutely intend to marry the man, I am desperate for solutions and advice.

Suggestions please

Thoughts on any elegant (preferrably jasmine based) perfumes for daily wear? I'm looking for a subtle old money scent, but I need clean freshness for the summer.

I've been looking for an evening fragrance as well, something more seductive, maybe more gourmand or oriental based, but my favourite scents so far are heavy on myrrh, amber and musks with sandalwood/cedarwood bases and spices, so they lean heavily into winter scents; I need something fresh and more elegant for warm weather.

For reference, this last winter, I've been wearing mostly Good Girl from CC, keeping it sexy but basic.

Personalised perfume - suggestions for improvement please

Hi guys,

I've really been thinking about creating and wearing a personalised perfume, but I'm pretty new to the idea of making your own signature scent.

My goal is to have two compatible main scents that can be layered in warmer weather

- the daily one (clean and fresh, elegant for leisure and daily outings)

- night/special occasions (more seductive and luxurious)

Any suggestions for improvements and opinions in general would be appreciated!!

Edit: I probably should've mentioned this, there's a new perfumery in town where you can make a customised perfume. I'm not doing it myself yet, this would be my first request for a professional. Just asking for your opinion on whether I'd be going in the right direction with this type of fragrance or not, thanks!
