How to use paid sick leave

So I am part time and I have to take 3 days off next month. I have like 70 hours of disability paid sick leave, i’ve never used it in the almost 3 years ive been here. Anyways, my sm denied my regular time off request and now im wondering if that is the best way to go about it since by Connecticut state law, the employer can’t ask for medical documentation to use disability. It also says it can be used for mental health days, so I don’t really see a reason why i can’t use it. All of that is on a poster in the office, so I am getting that information from what Autozone has posted up for their employees in their building. If there are any other suggestions as to how i can get these 3 days off i am open to anything

This morning, I remote started my car like usual, and maybe 5 minutes later, i went down to the car, everything normal, i drove it up to the front door of my building and i went back inside to get something before i left. Left the car running. When i came back out 3 minutes later, the car was still running but it sounded like a metal on metal rattling sound. Not knocking, i know what engine knock sounds like and it was not that, this sounded like a consistent rattle within the motor. No lights on the dash, i just shut off the car and turned it back on again and everything was normal. Later, I checked the oil, the level was basically perfect and the oil looked normal. I have no clue what this was from but i hope its not bad
