Where are the battlefield layouts in the App?
I’m in the App and it just says to use the layouts in the App. Which dropdown menu are the battlefield layouts in?

Does the definition of a Battlefield edge only include the attackers and defenders Battlefield edge or does it include any edge of the playing surface?
Before I make a pile-in move, I am engaged with 1 enemy unit and my pile-in move brings me in engagement range with another enemy unit - Is this allowed?
Rule 12.03 (pile-in move)
Before moving select pile-in targets. If your unit is engaged, select every enemy unit it is engaged with.
I’m thinking this rule doesn’t stop me from also selecting units that I am not currently engaged in before making the pile-in move. As long as I select them as a pile-in target.
Would using the Rapid Ingress be a much bigger advantage to players taking the second turn?
It seems if you are taking the second turn, then in the second battle round, you could use this stratagem to get a unit on battlefield on your opponent’s turn, then on your second turn, that unit is able to move, shoot, charge.
However, if you are taking the first turn, and you use rapid ingress in your opponent’s turn, you have to wait until the 3rd battle round unit that unit can move, shoot, charge.
The difference between the current Space Marines codex and the App - ‘Rites of Battle’ ability. This is not updated in the Munitorum Field Manual.
Should I just use the ability in the App since it’s the most ‘up-to-date version of the rule?
If the Khorne Blessing that allows a 6” pile-in and consolidation is active, it changes the maximum distance only, right?
For example, if I am eligible to pile-in and I am unengaged, I can only select enemy units within 5”.
Also:
If I choose to make an engaging consolidation, I will still need to be within 3” of an enemy unit to do so.
Is this correct?
Does my opponent select the saving throw allocation order after I have made my to hit and wound rolls?
Section 5 of the rules says the sequence is:
However, the example in pages 23 shows the order as:
What am I missing here?
Can someone give an example where this would be the case?
10th edition, there was a mission in the Core Rules called ‘Only War’. This was a quick and easy mission and a nice introduction to playing the game.
Does anyone else think there should have been something like this in the 11th edition Core Rules for new players?
If my opponent shoots a squad and kills the only visible model, do the rest of the shots still hit the models hidden behind the ruin?
I remember in the previous edition, there was a section that said something like, if you and your opponent cannot agree on a rule, roll off and the winner picks.
Is there anything like that in 11th edition?
Does someone have an image of a flowchart or can explain the order who gets to fight in 11th edition? Asking for a friend.
I remember in 10th edition, you were unable to move within 1 inch of an enemy model, but it seems you can do so in 11th providing you don’t end the move in engagement range (of 2 inches). Is this correct?
In 11th Edition, can two separate friendly units intermingle their models into a single 'blob' as long as both units individually maintain their 2-inch and 9-inch coherency rules?"
Let’s talk rules! 🎲
Knowing the rules well completely changes the game. It builds your confidence, keeps matches fast and smooth, and creates a much better experience for your opponent.
But with the new edition, misinterpretations are bound to happen!
