Hero MotoCorp sold me a defective XPulse 210. 9 service visits in 10 months. Formal complaint ignored. Here's the full story.
Hey everyone. I've been a Hero glazer for a long time, but what I've experienced over the past 10 months has completely changed that. Posting this here because I want other riders to know what they might be getting into, and because Hero MotoCorp has chosen to stay silent despite a formal complaint.
The bike: Hero XPulse 210, purchased July 2025, Bhagat Motors, Bangalore.
The issues — all within 10 months of ownership:
- Utility box physically broke off — 2 times. Paid for one replacement out of pocket.
- Gears shifting down on their own while riding — a active safety hazard
- Engine tappet noise developed within months of purchase
- Loss of acceleration and pickup
- Fuel pump replaced
- Oxygen sensor replaced
- Crankshaft repaired
- Engine head replaced — bike was held at the service centre for nearly a month for this
The service experience:
- When the oxygen sensor and fuel pump needed repair, Bhagat Motors turned me away for over 2 weeks straight claiming they had no space
- When I asked for a loan vehicle while my bike sat at their centre for a month — refused
- When I asked for reimbursement of travel expenses — refused
- The Service GM, Mr. Harish, made repeated commitments over WhatsApp to arrange a loan vehicle and call back with updates — broke every single one
Where it stands now: I just got the bike back, but it's not fully fixed. They've already told me to bring it back next week for throttle body and manifold rubber replacement. A formal complaint was sent to Hero MotoCorp's grievance team 8+ days ago. No acknowledgement. Not even a confirmation of receipt.
7 service bills. Significant amount paid out of pocket.
I have all the bills, the WhatsApp chat with the Service GM, and a video going up.
Has anyone else had this experience with Hero? Specifically with the XPulse 210 or Bhagat Motors Bangalore? Would love to know if this is isolated or a pattern.
