Hi everyone! We’re planning to climb Punta Penia via the western ridge via ferrata and descend via the glacier.

We’re a group of 4 people, and we’d really appreciate some current information/advice:

What is the current condition of the glacier? Is the descent currently feasible?

Is it possible to reach the first section/ladder of the via ferrata without any climbing, or is there a technical section before reaching it?

Are there any particular things we should be aware of or tips for this route?

We have crampons, an ice axe, a rope, and via ferrata kits.

Any recent information or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
