Kitbashed firstborn techmarine

The freehands are mostly here for show, since I am going to keep working on him, but I needed him paintedup so here he is.

I made him with the devastator kit mostly + a few space wolf bits.

Technicaly firststborn scouts

I finally finished them up, I tried out the contrast paint on them and worked with browns.

I learned that I do not like contrasts, but they work really well for plasma glow etc. When applied over white and also that I need new brown paints since my dark brown has insane coverage no matter how I mix it and the light brown has a lot of white pigment.

Overall, the painting was time consuming and a bit painfull but that might be because I moved and dont have my painting setup in here yet.

Kitbashed assault intercessor warrior

I made a custom, emperors spears themed kill team and just finished painting a test model and incidentaly, the first member!

I still need a name for him and the team, for now I gave the latter a working name of "kill team Gae Bolg" - a spear forged out of sea monster's bones.

I really enjoyed painting that one, although I had to redo the armor and the runes on the right shoulder. I also tried freehanding the trodent on the left one, but I'll spare you the pain of seeing it lol.

REDDEN THE EARTH!

Firstborn ultramarine eliminators

A 3 man unit of eliminators made mostly out of the devastator marines I had in my army.

They use lascannons instead of the las fusils and I made their capes using miliput.

They turned out very nice overall I think.

Employement opportunities in the industry

Hello, I am a CS student in one of the more prominent European Universities and next year I am supposed to choose the focus of my remaining years here.

Due to the rising popularity of renewables (including the latest agreements from the 26th) I am considering trying to pivot my career towards this sector.

I know a bit about the topic due to my personal interests and I would like to learn if such a move is even possible and if there are any resources from which I can support this plan.

Thanks for all support.

My restoration and conversion projects so far

Around 2 months ago, I figured out, why hobbying marines did not stick for me - the uniformity of it all is boring. I realised that, after I found a broken lot of second hand grey knights, immediatly I got ideas that I am working on untill this day.

The first project I did was the librarian, it was quite easy, but I got hooked at once, then there was the venerable dread - not my best work, but it helped me figure out a lot of stuff I like and what I dont. Its also the model I made the most mistakes on.

Then there was time for my first big project, the ancient in terminator armor, I reposed him fully and worked from ground up to change him from a Paladin, into what he is now.

The most recent model I repainted, is the castaferrum without a base. You can probably tell, but I fianlly cracked how I like to paint my armor, the blue on him is the best I ever got.

I still have many models to go through, combined I have around 3700 points of models, 3000 of which are firstborn, currently I am working on an eradocator team conversion, a 10 man squad of sternguard vets and a 10 man unit of assault terminators.

Commiting heresy

Get ultramarined B)

In all seriousness, i bought this broken lot that came with free dust and cobwebs, and turned them into a librarian, a dreadnaught and an ancient in terminator armor.

Just wanted to say that the sculpts were a joy to work with, despite their age and it definietly made me think about starting a grey knights force.

Hope you can forgive me :)

P.S. I'm currently eyeing a baby carrier model to add to my collection as a display piece.

This is a part of a project I took up, I'm converting a broken and uncomplete grey knights force into custom units for my marines.

For now, I:

fixed up a dreadnaught, letting him finally stand on his own two, oversized feet.

Converted a spare marine into a librarian

Upsized, reposed and customised a grey knight paladin into a very dripped out ancient.

There is plenty more to do still, but I need validation and happy chemicals, so I'm still posting it.
