Hooked on the ritual, not just the nicotine. How did you quit?
I desperately need to quit smoking. It's causing me massive hair loss, but I can't seem to stop myself.
My biggest hurdle is that smoking marks the start and end of my day. I drive to an isolated spot, listen to a podcast, and smoke in total solitude. It's my sacred ritual. I’ve tried doing the drive and podcast without the cigarette, but it feels empty and unsatisfying.
I’m at the point where I wish someone would lock me up just to force a detox. Has anyone else struggled with letting go of the "peace and quiet" aspect of smoking? How did you find satisfaction without the cigarette?
