As the title mentions — I’m confused which one to buy. Please let me know if you have any insights!

Incoming freshman here! I don’t really drink or smoke, but I’m quite social and outgoing; I loveee hanging out with my friends. However, I’m wondering if choosing substance free housing restricts that. I’m fine with general housing, but are there extremes? Do your nearby residents come super drunk/throw up? What kind of students tend to choose substance free?

Generally, I have noticed that if you are a student who takes care of themselves, likes dressing up and wearing makeup, and doing your hair, society labels you as "unserious/nakkal parne." It is so ironic that we look down upon self-expression, self-care, and people simply being themselves! I am sorry, but we need to get over the "topper" stereotype. We need to encourage self-expression in "serious" students. I don't know where this stems from---maybe school ma it's not allowed, and those who choose to do it anyway are generally authority opposers. But man, it is quite frustrating. You can be smart AND fashionable. smart AND have a social life. smart AND look good. What are your thoughts?
