In the depths of high bronze/silver, my ranked games have been an absolute shit show. Regularly there are brand new accounts under level 40, iron 4, people first timing champs, or some wanker playing Kaisa top, and a metric butt load of smurfs. I got so irritated when people won’t ff and hold the game hostage cause someone left. I have logged each game and 20% of my games have been competitive. Where there’s a clear back and forth. The rest feel pretty much decided in the first ten minutes.
In my experience normals has been far better. People weirdly don’t get as tilted when they’re losing lane and take riskier plays. the game becomes a lot more exciting with this back and forth that I would have expected from a competitive game.
Something about ranked makes the total shitter players like me in bronze to blow a gasket calling their teammate racial and bigoted slurs because they made a mistake.
I’m also curious if that gets better in higher ranks or do the games feel so snowbally and toxic up and down the ladder no matter where you’re at?
