I've been to Savannah and it had a fun energy, yet I also understand its very touristy and a small-ish, tight local scene.

If you're in late 30s, active and like to make art and be out going...how will the city receive you?

Is it a good scene to meet new people, have fun and enjoy life?

Philadelphia is the HOTTEST place on the US MARKET, people are FLOODING the city from NYC, NJ & West Coast!

People flooding in, real estate getting JACKED UP, city infrastructure!!!

Here I am walking down the street, and enjoying a conversation, all the sudden, I hear a horn go off...turnaround...and its Nicolas Cage taking off his helmet on a moped..I couldn't believe it...he was going into a CAVA place...I asked him what he was doing and he said it was confidential!

Must be a moving being filmed

I’m trying to get a real read on it, not headlines, just what people are actually seeing on the ground.

If you’ve moved here recently (or are planning to), what pulled you in?

Leaving NYC/DC? Remote work? Something else?

And for people already here, are you feeling it? More crowded? Same as always? Different vibe?

Not trying to start a debate, just genuinely curious what’s real vs what’s in my head.

Self explanatory, but does it feel like the city has lost some of its edge? Some of the...energy that was once had...does New Orleans sort of feel....a bit less authentic?

Man, I went to NOLA recently one of my favorite cities ever..and I couldn't believe it..felt like something was missing...bougie cafes, hipsters, and it just felt a bit less..itself for how I remember it years ago..

And NoLa isn't the only one, half of NYC / NJ is moving to Charleston, you might run into just as many jersey accents as you do southern gentlemen down there.

Philadelphia, similar story...NY / NJ has flooded in and a lot of the neighborhoods that had edge, and culture..are becoming hipster and remote worker enclaves....cruising thru north Philly, you can see the developments and buildings coming down for new condos...

DC...DC, has simply been stripped of anything interesting...

I could go on.

Is Baltimore the one city in the US that hasn't been stripped of the soul yet?
