Not every hustle needs thousands of dollars to start. Sometimes small things quietly make good money.

What’s a lowkey hustle you know someone is doing that actually pays better than people expect?

Could be online or offline. I’m curious.

I once did a job that drained me mentally and physically, then got paid an amount that honestly felt insulting afterwards.

What’s the hardest you ever worked for very little money? Was it a job, gig, hustle, or business?

I’m convinced people are making money in the weirdest ways nowadays. Someone told me they made money reviewing songs online while another guy was getting paid to test apps.

What’s the most random, unexpected or unusual way you’ve ever made money? And did it actually pay well?

I worked as a watchman in an estate in Buruburu for a month, and the pay was just 5K for the entire month. No benefits, no support—nothing.

In a city like Nairobi, where the cost of living is already high, I had to look for other ways just to survive. It didn’t even cover basic needs.

What bothered me most is how normal this has become. People rely on watchmen for security every single day, yet the pay is extremely low. It feels like exploitation, honestly.

Is this the standard across estates, or was this just my experience? How do others in similar jobs manage?

I’ve been diving into binary trading recently (mainly on Deriv), focusing on simple markets like even/odd and over/under.

What I’ve noticed is that some people do seem to benefit—but not in the “quick money” way that gets advertised.

The ones who last seem to:

Stick to strict risk management

Take very few trades per session

Avoid chasing losses (no martingale)

Treat it more like probability than gambling

At the same time, I’ve also seen a lot of people blow accounts fast, especially when emotions kick in.

So I’m curious:

Are there people here actually making steady profits from binary trading, or is it mostly short-term wins and long-term losses?

What’s been your real experience?
