I purchased a Spindle latex mattress in full for $1399.

I chose the Spindle because each individual layer of latex is shown wrapped in a separate fabric case. Latex is easily torn and I preferred having the additional protection for better handling. Because I already had a bad experience trying to buy a mattress from Turmerry (waited a month with no shipment and continuous delays before canceling) I decided to make sure the layer cases are indeed included as pictured. Turns out they are not. They are offering to sell them to me for over $100 each, totaling over $300 extra! This is despite me asking that they include them since they are clearly shown in the photos which is misleading advertising. They will not include them.

Because of this interaction and the fact that they have no phone number... I'm considering canceling and going with the Luxerion latex mattress from Latex Mattress Factory even though a full is about $65 more including taxes. (To be clear I would not pay $300+ more for the fabric layer cases for the Spindle, that's ridiculous.)

I am reading on reddit that at some point the ownership of Spindle changed and the customer service went downhill. Does anyone have recent experiences with Spindle? Both their customer service and their mattress quality? I've also read they used to use some latex method called continuous pour and now they don't?

From what I've read Latex Mattress Factory seems to be very legit. I just want to know more about Spindle before I decide to cancel and order from LMF.

I have never purchased a new mattress in my life, this is an investment of most of my money, so it's a big deal to me!

So a while back I got a shredded latex pillow that had wool inside the casing around it at the goodwill. It was such a good pillow but I ruined it by putting it in the dryer. I can't remember the brand. I decided to take out the latex and mixed it with raw wool and stuffed it into zippered cases. The DYI pillows are NOT comfortable, they are extremely lumpy.

So I am thinking about just throwing down the money for some good natural pillows. I was looking at Avocado, Everpillow, or Latex mattress factory. However, I'm worried since none of these have an outer buffer between the latex and my head (like the wool casing of the one I had) that they will also be lumpy.

I see that Birch has a similar design with wool on the outer layer, but it's very expensive.

My questions are:

1. What's your favorite natural pillow?
2. Have you used a pillow by any of the above brands (Avocado, Everpillow, Latex Mattress Factory)?
3. What's the difference in feel between just shredded latex vs just kapok vs shredded latex and kapok?
4. Do you know of any other brands (besides Birch) that has a layer encasing the shredded latex inside?
