An Iraqi mother takes her own life after she was stripped off her daughter’s custody by force under the new Islamic law

Hi
I’m an Iraqi ex Muslim woman who shares the living atrocities that takes place in my country because of Islam

As you can see from the title, this is a real news that took place today in Diyala, Iraq
As of why this mother has lost her daughter’s custody, it’s due to the new Jaafari Personal Status Code that was passed on last year. In which the children’s custody gets transferred to the father once they reach the age of six, no matter what and even if the father was not a good parent.
The mother can also lose the custody of her child even if he was younger than 6 if she decides to marry another man, no matter what.
It’s all based on the Islamic Shiite sharia law

The Jaafari Personal Status Code is a set of family-law rules based on Jaafari (Twelver Shia) Islamic jurisprudence. It regulates matters such as marriage, divorce, maintenance, custody, guardianship, inheritance, and the rights and obligations of spouses.

If you guys have any more questions about this matter then I’m willing to answer it
Please help us raise awareness about this issue

An Egyptian Muslim says that women should be imprisoned if she talked to another male without her husband’s permission

Here’s the full translation:

Society will only be fixed when wives are imprisoned just as husbands are.
A woman who disobeys her husband should be considered a crime.
A woman who keeps a father away from his children should be considered a crime.
A woman who talks to another man without her husband’s knowledge should be considered a crime.
A woman who works without her husband’s consent should be considered a crime.
A woman who travels without her husband’s permission should be considered a crime.
A woman who fails to take care of her children and neglects them should be considered a crime.
For years, we’ve lived in a society where only men are held accountable.
The time has come for women to be held accountable too.
When there is no punishment, people abuse their freedom!

A Muslim man says there’s no benefit for women to open their eyes as they’re considered a source of “temptation”

That’s the reality you will end up with once you allow Muslims to share their opinions too much
