i need to give this work crush WAY less brain space, and am hoping that getting this out this helps or gives me some kind of reality check.
two weeks ago we were talking about concerts we were each planning to go to (separately). he had told me about one band before, as well as a performance of theirs on youtube. i mentioned i watched the performance, and he got really excited, saying i was the only person in his life who’d listened to the band, and that they’d written maybe his favorite love song. he then posited that non-cheesy love songs are rare, and then challenged me to name one, which seemed like kind of an organic thing? but then a little later in the conversation he also wanted me to ID what i thought was the greatest love song ever written, like it was homework… homework that i LOVE, because of course i want us to send love songs back and forth (so dreamy), but i can’t tell if this assignment is just because he likes talking about music, or something more??
one week ago, we didn’t get to talk, but i was walking in front of him and he didn’t know i knew he was behind me and started whistling a tune, presumably to get my attention? but then again maybe not?! we didn’t get a chance to actually talk because of our respective meeting schedules.
i won’t get to see him irl this week so i don’t know if he even will REMEMBER to talk to me about love songs, and embarrassingly it is making me feel a little crazy. *sigh*
thoughts? or, better yet, suggestions on where to find new crushes please? 🙃🙃🙃
