Self injecting dupixent tips

My gi had me pick up some dupixent samples to try while they see if they can get my insurance to approve it since my body does not react well to ppi+steroid. I was going to try it today “prefilled pens” but I am so nervous I’m not sure how I can get myself to do it. I’ve watched some videos on how to do it and see people suggest icing and then pinching skin together while injecting in stomach. Does anyone have any tips for my first dose attempt? Should I have a family member do it? I’m thinking I should just take a shot to calm me down then do it myself immediately I’m not sure why this seems so hard for me to do I don’t really mind when I get blood drawn.

Update: I did the shot and it was far less bad than I expected. I appreciate everyone’s comments for helping me out I ended up doing it in the stomach. I iced the area briefly before and it was practically painless only the slightest burning sensation.

Is this a screen protector

Just bought this used ds light can anyone tell me if this appears to be a screen protector on the lower screen. It appears to be dirty and was going to clean the screen but noticed it looks like there is what looks like a screen protector on.

Eoe doctors in Utah

Does anyone happen to have any recommendations for gi/allergist doctors who are good and have experience treating EOE in Utah/Utah county? My current gi has not been much help and has been a pain to deal with. Thanks!

Stomach/digestion issues ppi+budesonide

I had a scope about 3 weeks ago and was told my EOE is very bad lots of scar tissue and 9mm esophagus. I was told to take 40mg ppi 2x a day and budesonide 2x today as insurance needs me to try this before dupixent. I felt fine for a few days but the last few days I’ve been having stomach pain, stomach fullness, and consipation as I’ve not been passing as much stool as normal. I’ve reached out to the gi days ago asking for guidance but they still have not got back to me after calling 2 times. Has anyone had similar issues with these medications I think I should just stop both or at least cut the dose in half until I hear back as my stomach and digestion feels all messed up now. Still have not got my scope results and this gi office is a pain to deal with. (I previously took 20-40mg ppi in the past per day with no issues).

Budesonide

My gi has instructed me to start taking 5ml(2mg) of budesonide 2x daily plus 80mg esomeprozole. I just got it the pharmacy compounded it so i believe it is already a slurry and I don’t need to mix it. I see people say no drinking/eating after doing it. It does not say anything about this on the bottle and I’m having a hard time reaching my gi. How long does anyone here who takes budesonide wait to eat/drink after swallowing. Also does this look like it is already ready to drink immediately or do I still need to mix with something thicker.

iPhone 17 pro max photos/camera

I’m a eBay seller and just upgraded to the iPhone 17 pro max. I used to use a iPhone 12 and the camera was accurate. Now when I take pictures for example I’m taking pictures of a polo Ralph Lauren blue/purplish bomber jacket the pictures make colors look way brighter than they actually are. I’ve tried messing with exposure, settings, nothing has worked has anyone else had similar issues or found a fix? Thanks!

10mg of budesonide daily

I recently had a endoscopy I was at 9mm and dilated to 12. My gi wants me to get on dupixent but I was told insurance needed me to try 80mg ppi daily and budesonide daily before dupixent. According to the pharmacy the prescription sent in was for 5ml of budesonide 2 times daily. Is that a normal dose? From what I’ve been seeing most people here take less than 5ml daily.

18mm to 9mm

2 years ago I got a endoscopy and got dilated from 15mm to 18. Today I got another endoscopy and was at 9mm stretched to 12. Previously until today I have not really had a gi doctor and would see a new one or have an occasional scope each time. One year ago i decided to drop my ppi nexium dose from 40mg to 20mg to see how I would do. Did I make a big mistake I am worried it is going to take a bunch more steps to even get back to where I was before since they can only dilate 3mm at a time. Is it safe for them to do more dilations occasionally until I am back near 20mm? I’m going to start taking 40mg again until making a plan with my gi he is going to try and get my approved for dupixent I am worried that me lowering my dose was a very bad decision and is going to take alot of work/money to come back from. If anyone has any insite on similar situations please let me know I am curious if starting 40mg again will widen my throat or if dilations are the only thing to widen my throat and the ppis only just make the damage afterwards not continue and narrow again. I am 21 years old and mad at myself for not asking a doctor about reducing my ppi dose it is now clearly time to make a full plan with a gi doctor.

9mm esophagus advice

Just got a scope today and was told my throat was looking real bad and I’m at 9mm. They said they can only stretch 3mm at a time so I’m now at 12mm. I’ve been on nexium ppl for years.
The doctor said he’s going to try and convince insurance that duxipent is the only option left since I’ve tried many other medications and it’s not covered. I’m 21, many years ago we tried elimination diet and i remember them saying the no dairy did make things better on the biopsy count. I’d like to hear from everyone’s experience what I should try to do from here. I cut out dairy 90% for about 7 weeks but according to the gi things are looking bad and 9mm is not a good sign still waiting on biopsy count results. Is it worth trying more elimination diet things or should I just focus on trying to get on duxipent. I did reduce my nexium to 20mg from 40 about a year ago because even 40 stopped working trying to lower my tolerance but that may have been a bad decision. I feel like I am never going to get to a point where I can eat normally I’m worried about the condition of my esophagus for the future.

Note when I was on 40mg nexium my last scope 2 years ago I was at 15mm and was stretched to 18mm. Will upping my nexium again get me back to that point or does that only happen through more dilations and then treatment that reduces it getting inflamed again.
