Really Struggling-Separation Anxiety

Im really struggling right now and am having major puppy regret. I have a mini dachshund who is about to be 4 months old. I have her in training classes which has helped some, but the separation anxiety and potty training is making day to day unbearable. I'm at the point of sending her away to puppy boarding and need help.

Right now, she has to be on me at all times. If Im eating, she has to be on my feet. If we're playing, she has to sit in my lap. If im cooking, she's laying at my feet. If I use the bathroom, shes trying to jump into my lap. I wanted a lapdog, but the issue is that it's unsafe and impossible to do things around the house. If Im cleaning, she has to he right there with me trying to bite and eat the supplies. If I have to get dressed, Im tripping over her as shes trying to lick me and Ive stepped on her repeatedly. If I try to gate her or put her in the other room, it's barking, screaming, and crying literally nonstop. Its hard to even close the door and use the bathroom.

When I first got her, I was trying to crate training her and it was really unsuccessful. She would panic and cry for hours straight. She ripped holes in the blanket covering the cage from panicking. Now she sleeps in the bed with me.

The potty training is an issue too. I live in an apartment and we have a grass patch outside. She uses it, but a lot of times she'll just pee on whatever she sees on the floor even after Ive taken her out 4-5 times with no pee or poop.

I feel like Im losing my mind.

Hermosa/West Logan Question

Im moving from Lakeview to Hermosa/West Logan area to be closer to work (I work in Humboldt Park near North Ave and Kedzie). Ive worked there about 10 years and am comfortable with that immediate area. I also lived in Logan about 10 years ago as well as Rogers Park.

Ill be living a little further west near Armitage and Pulaski. It seems to be a pretty family filled area and is right next to both an elementary and a high school. Im a single woman, so just wondering if theres any significant issues I should worry about, or if its a generally safe area (obviously taking normal city precautions). Is it comparable to Logan or Rogers Park?

Ill mainly be driving, but would be walking my dogs and parking on the street. Walking to the 606 trail, etc. Otherwise, Im mainly a homebody or ubering.

Any insight is appreciated!

Can my 11 week puppy sleep in my bed?

Ive been struggling with crating at night, my 11 week dachshund struggles to settle. However once she falls asleep she sleeps until about 5am with no accidents. It takes her quite a while to fall asleep and she panics often when closing the crate door.

Ive tried feeding her meals in the crate, providing treats and puzzles, sitting by the crate, sleeping by the crate, etc. But she often panics and won't go down. I also only use the crate at night, and shes sectioned off in the kitchen when Im away. She does well with the potty pad when Im gone. Its been a week and a half (I know a very short time) but Im worried about her crying all night (Im also very tired).

She naps on the couch and knows how to use her doggy stairs to go up and down. She never has accidents on the couch and reliably goes to her pee pad without prompting when she wakes up (shes not vaccinated fully so cant go outside yet).

A few times when she was on the bed and I wasnt listening to her cues, she had an accident. We've napped in the bed and if I hear her stirring I take her immediately to the pad and that has helped. I wanted to get some doggy stairs for the bed and see if she can sleep and use the potty pad on the bed like she does with the couch.

My concern is that Ive heard allowing them to sleep in your bed will make separation anxiety worse. I also know that falls can be especially dangerous for her because of her spine, but she hasn't had any falls when we've napped there or played there.

Any thoughts or help is appreciated!

Potty Training in Apartment

I have an 11 week old dachshund and Im wondering if its safe to bring her outside to pee. She has had her first round if vaccinations, but hasn't yet had rabies or leptospirosis. The vet said not to take her for walks until 14 weeks, but Im wondering if its okay to take her outside in our front fenced yard.

I live in an apartment building, but its small and I know my neighbors. There are other dogs but they are all responsible pet owners.

Ive been using pee pads, but dont want her to get used to going inside. Any advice is appreciated!
