How do we avoid double taxation as Americans abroad without resorting to automated software?

I am pretty tired of stressing about tax returns every year for fear of being taxed twice on the same income earned here. Automated software always glitches when it comes to more complicated situations outside the US, and I simply no longer trust putting my data in there.

I need a human approach so that I can be at ease knowing my documents are perfectly in order with the IRS and that I won't wake up to surprises or penalties. Which experts do you work with to resolve this part of complicated international taxes, and how have you ensured so far that you don't pay double taxes by mistake?

When exactly did your back start hurting every day and how the hell do you cope?

I'm only 32 and for about six months now I've been waking up every morning feeling like someone beat me in the lower back, especially after sitting in a chair at my desk for eight hours. I've ended up taking ibuprofen like candy just to be able to endure the 5am drive home. Is it just bad posture at the laptop or does your body just break down at a certain age and there's nothing you can do about it?

I've started looking for all sorts of things on the internet out of desperation and I'm thinking of getting a massager or a chair from osim even though they're insanely expensive, just to take some of the tension off my shoulders when I get home passed out from exhaustion. This is my last attempt before I resign myself to being crooked for the rest of my life.

How do you in Australia deal with their medical system when you have problems like this?

Edit: I bought a massage chair from osim.

How much validation is enough before launching ?

I keep seeing founders say they’ve “validated” an idea because a few people liked it, joined a waitlist, or gave positive feedback on LinkedIn.

That feels useful, but not always strong enough to make decisions on pricing, positioning or who the first real customer segment should be. I’ve been looking at more structured research options too, including Vision One B2B market research service, because proper customer interviews or surveys seem harder to fake than polite feedback.

For UK founders, what level of validation would you trust before spending serious money on build or launch?

Need a custom size exterior door - 83" tall. Where do I even look?

1890s house. Front door opening is 83" tall by 34" wide. Standard doors are 80"x36".

Checked Home Depot, Lowe's, and two local lumber yards. Nothing close. One guy said I'd need to reframe the whole opening – move the header, redo the brick moulding. That sounds expensive and I really don't want to mess with the original framing.

Has anyone ordered a custom door before? Is there a company that does this without charging an arm and a leg? Open to wood, fiberglass, whatever. Located in the Northeast.

UPDATE: Went to an old school buddy's house last weekend he's got a 1920s Craftsman. Walked in and stopped at his front door. Solid wood, beautiful grain, fit perfectly in a weird-sized opening.

Asked him where he got it. RealCraft. Custom made to his measurements. No reframing, no messing with the structure. The quality was obvious the second I touched it.

So I went home, measured my 83"x34" opening one more time, and ordered one from them last week. Mahogany. They're building it now.

I'll post a photo when it gets here. Fingers crossed.

What do international students usually do with their stuff over summer?

I'm an international student and every summer I end up having the same problem: I can't take everything home, but I also don't want to keep paying for accommodation just to leave my belongings there.

I've looked at self-storage units and also services that handle collection and storage for students, but I'm still trying to figure out what makes the most sense financially and logistically.

What do most of you do between terms? Store everything locally, ship things home, or just sell and rebuy what you need each year?
