My partner(M) of 12 years became upset because I challenged him after being secretive with his phone. After a small argument I turned over to go to sleep and he lent over me, cupped my cheek with an open hand and very gently tapped it twice. I immediately said what the fuck was that? He said it’s just what Italians do to show respect. I told him that I took it as a warning tap and not to do it again. He thinks I’m overreacting. So am I?
