What am I doing wrong with my word puzzle marketing?

Last month I tried to use some app store optimization tactics to grow my word game, but with little to no impact.

People who try the game say they like it, but do the screenshots look too boring?
It's a New York Times style word game so I tried to market it like that, rather than an endless addictive puzzle.

Thank you for checking.

I made a daily word game that’s about language itself, but no one's discovering it

I made a daily word game called Linguapo.

Instead of guessing words, the puzzles are about language itself:
What language is it? What does the word mean?

I used my own app to make screenshots, and asked ChatGPT for keyword/ASO ideas.
Conversion rate is 11%, with 57 impressions the past month.
Are word games just too difficult to get discovered, or am I missing obvious fixes?

I was getting tired of games that felt like “Wordle but slightly different,” but I definitely used the same principles for sharing completed puzzles.

It's not trivia, it's not a learning app, but it does scratch the itch for “wait that’s actually interesting!”

Would genuinely love feedback from people here:
