In the last month, I’ve noticed that CarPlay constantly failed to connect, and when this happens you can’t keep re-trying it’s simply won’t connect.
The trouble is when this issue happens. Bluetooth also doesn’t seem to connect. There’s been times when an error has come up saying you can’t use this function while in a call however I’ve never been in a call.

I’ve got my service booked in a few weeks and will bring this up, but just wondering if anyone has found any long-term solutions?
The only solution I’ve had is to reboot the system and put it in simple mode

Which in one instance was not a great option? When I was driving in a location I wasn’t familiar with and couldn’t connect. Yes, you can drive in simple mode, but considering the last update said it was fixing CarPlay issues this is actually worse

Has anyone come across this, or found a solution?
I’m enjoying V2 but my wallpapers won’t stick.

I’ve used custom wallpapers for at least the last year. With the new update, every time I start the car, it resets to the default theme based wallpaper - rather than my custom.

There’s only one user profile on the car, so it’s not like im switching between profiles and resetting…

Just going through my photos, and I see that’s it been 12 months since I upgraded to V1.4….. (29 May 2025).

Coincidentally, not long from now it’ll be 12 months since v2 started rolling out globally….

Love to see BYD Aus’s “regular OTA rollouts” that were advertised…
