Where do people go on holiday from the UK if you hate Christmas, as an extrovert?

Hello,

As the question suggests, I don't really have much family in the UK and generally hate Christmas as a result. I'm 30F and single. I have 22 days holiday left for the year, do people have any suggestions from the UK on where might be good to go around Christmas time, that won't break the bank and also is maybe like a co-living space so that they'll be people around?

I've had friendmas (which was great!) but that's not happening this year, and I'm stuck in analysis paralysis of whether to go do Co-working in Tenerife or a big trip to Thailand for example.

Flights from Manchester also appreciated! And / or if you know any cool spaces in Scotland or Ireland that's cool too, just anywhere where people might be in the same boat as me I guess.

What are people's thoughts on Saint-Sauveur-Des-Monts, Quebec, vs Manchester?

Hi, I guess this is a post to get some opinions on things and how other people have experienced a move abroad.

I'm 30 (F) and I'm single, from the UK and at the end of 2024 I moved to Canada, and a month into a job search, Trump's Tariffs started, which made it really hard to find a job, I had two interviews in three months, I lived with distant family in Ottawa for a few weeks, before heading to Montreal and starting to dogsit, rent an airbnb, doing workaways to try and get cheap rent, etc. After a while with no leads / ghosting a friend was going to South America, so I decided to put my suitcase in storage and travel for a bit, whilst looking for work as I already had my VISA and I could make my money stretch further in South America.

Eventually I gave up and applied for some stuff in the UK and eventually got a job in the UK, which allows me to work remotely a month a year.

Now the dilema, I still have an active IEC and didn't really get to use it, my work contract is for two years, and I can extend my IEC for another year (so 3 in total)

Someone has recently reached out with a job role in Saint-Sauveur-des-monts and if I do it I could go skiing and maybe it will be less depressing than last time going in summer and I've earned enough money to stress less about it than I did in 2024.

I would miss weddings and 30th birthdays, and I've only done one year in this job I like in the UK, but it's not a permanent role, and they are having budgeting issues which might mean my role goes anyway next year?

Alternatives, stay in the UK, extend my Visa and then just do a summer in Canada next year?

I'd just like some insights into how people found the move themselves if they were moving alone.

It would be nice to be near extended family but it's also quite fragile so not sure about that either.
