Flying from sc to Columbus, OH
Hi!
I’m flying from South Carolina to Columbus, Ohio this weekend with a layover in Charlotte. With everything going on internationally right now, I know this may sound anxious, but is there any realistic concern about domestic U.S. flights or airports being targeted? Just trying to make it to my friend’s wedding without spiraling over the news.

Victimized by a laser
I was sodomized by a laser as a passenger. Nobody else saw it but I was able to find the general area via google maps but I don’t even know what my attacker looks like.
Can I call the cops and get the entire SWAT team to respond?! This is the crime of the century! I feel violated!

I’ve seen several posts like this recently. They always wind up saying “I hope this person is caught”…
That rarely, if ever, happens. ATC will ask you the general area and ask if you were injured. Then you simply proceed. Maybe some areas take it more seriously… but I’ve yet to find them.
The times people get caught are when it happens to be a law enforcement helicopter or something.
This is an example. Happened again about two weeks after in a totally different area. Seems to be an increasing trend.

I was hoping to get the feedback of the sub.
I REALLY like the aesthetics of Gen 2 Scout in 308.
I’m not really one to buy guns that don’t fill a role. I am torn on a good use case. On one hand, it would an affordable entrance into a .30 cal rifle that I would use for hunting and it’s handy enough for a good brush gun.
On the other hand, everything I can use this thing for, could also be done with a semi auto…
I like the iron sights on the rifle but it seems to defeat the purpose to limit .308 to the range of iron sights. And nothing will cowitness with them.
I have enough rail space to put some thermal stuff on it but if I did some night hog hunts, it seems better to have quicker follow ups than a bolt action provides.
Convince me or dissuade me…
