PRP therapy for TMJ

One day I just started to feel pain on the left side of my jaw, with no reason (no clicking, no yawning, hard food, nothing). It went away after a few weeks, but then I had laparoscopic surgery, where they intubated me and I think that caused the pain to come back after a week of my surgery. I went to see my dentist and she said that my teeth and bite were fine, so i went to see a specialist. They gave me TMJ mouth guard and I couldnt wear it, because it was too big and causing more pain. I went back and they made one designed based on my teeth and I have been wearing it for almost two months now. The pain went away after a few days, but then came back. And now it has been on and off. The pain is mild, it starts during the day and its the worst in the evening. I can't open my mouth all the way and I have a constant feeling like my jaw and tounge are in a spasm.

Next week I have another appointment to see if there is some kind of improvement, and my doctor recommended PRP therapy. Has anyone done this before for TMJ relief ? Also I dont know if the problem is muscular or joint.

I also tried heat packs, massages, exercises for TMJ/jaw, reducing stress as much as possible, not eating hard food etc..

What else do you recommend trying ?

Classics book suggestion?

I usually don't read classic books, mostly thrillers, dark romance or romance, self help books etc.. but I would like to get into world of classic books as well and i don't know where to start.

Which book would you choose to introduce someone to classics? I appreciate all the suggestions!

EDIT: thank you everyone for so many great suggestions! Looking forward to start reading them, 2026 Summer reads will be classic books 🍀🫶🏻
