Has there been other times in history where large groups of people genuinely felt like humanity was “waking up” or going through a major consciousness/spiritual shift?
I’ve been going through a spiritual awakening and have come across people from all different communities talking about things like collective consciousness rising, disclosure, heightened intuition, major global change, etc. and a lot of them seem very convinced humanity is entering some kind of transition period.
I’m wondering if this is actually unique to our time? Or is what I’m seeing mostly the result of algorithms/FYPs feeding me more of what I’m already engaging with?
I don’t use Reddit much, so I don’t know if people have been talking like this online for years already or if this level of collective conviction feels different right now.
Could it just be coincidence that I’m going through a spiritual awakening while a big portion of the internet I’m seeing is talking about a shift happening? And that disclosure conversations also seem to be increasing at the same time? Or have there always been periods where people collectively felt this way?
I’m genuinely curious and open-minded either way.
