Mini safari FPP, what animals are missing?

Made some more safari animals, already did Crocodile, Elephant, Flamingo, Giraffe, Hippo, Lion, Monkey ,Parrot, Rhino, Toucan, Turtle and Zebra. But are there any animals missing? Want to make sure I have all of them before turning them into a full quilt.

I sketched out a simple silhouette, broke it into FPP-friendly shapes using tracingpaper, and tweaked it a bit through a couple test versions.

Learned how to do FPP by starting with simple flower designs (my first one was a tulip), cutting up the tracing paper, and sewing it over and over again until I understood how FPP worked. Then i advanced to more complex patterns, animals, stars and more flowers.

I used quilting cotton to make it!

Syd tie top

Maybe a weird question. But does anyone have the Syd tie top and could show me what it would look like wearing it reverse?

I want to sew a lace overlay top for my wedding dress and think this might be the perfect pattern. But I can't find a picture of wearing it backwards anywhere!

No measure table runner (mostly to test my ruffle foot)

So I do a lot of FPP sewing, which is obviously a lot of pressing and measuring. So sometimes I just need a no measure project..

I got a ruffle foot for Christmas, and hadn't tried it yet, so decided to make a quick table runner.

I had this fabric that I bought online months ago, but I didn't quite like it for the project I had planned (a skirt), so it's just been laying around. Didn't measures anything, just threw the fabric on the table and cut the length that I thought would be nice. Then started sewing one very long ruffle (made about 2m too much but oh well). The whole thing took about 45min!

Favorite pattern creators with videos?

Honestly Etsy is so filled with ai patterns that it's so difficult to find good designers.

Personally I love when there's a sew along, so was wondering if you guys have any recommendations?

My sewing space

I love watching sewing room youtube videos, so I figured I'd share my space
Now this room is shared with my husbands office space and our guest room, but i try to keep it as organised as possible!

Also working on some Cars fpp patterns, so the ironing board is out and fabric scraps are everywhere...

Frozen FPP

I already shared that I made Anna and Elsa before, now I just created Olaf, Sven, Kristoff and Hans to finish the frozen theme!

(did mess up olaf a bit, because I used 2 different black fabrics)

big bear in the big blue house FPP

Someone asked if I could make some Bear in the Big Blue House inspired blocks, and I ended up getting completely carried away with it 😅

Tried to include all the little details and characters that made the show feel so cozy and nostalgic.

Someone asked me to make some Star Trek inspired quilt blocks, so I gave it a try..

I’m really curious now though… are the characters recognizable enough? Can you guess who they’re supposed to be?

A while ago a friend asked if I could make something Lion King inspired for a blanket she was planning, and I said sure… thinking it would be maybe one or two blocks

That very quickly turned into a whole set. I kind of got carried away trying to include all the characters and little details, but it ended up being a really fun project to work on

I actually finished them quite a while ago and never got around to sharing them, so finally posting them now

Still kind of love how they look all together, especially the moon scene

I posted here a while ago and got SO many suggestions in the comments… so I went a bit overboard and made them all 😅

I’ve now finished 35 FPP blocks... New additions:

Bo Peep (Toy Story)

Jessie (Toy Story)

Dolores Madrigal (Encanto)

Isabela Madrigal (Encanto)

Luisa Madrigal (Encanto)

Mirabel Madrigal (Encanto)

Elena of Avalor

Kida (Atlantis)

Leia (Star Wars)

Lilo (Lilo & Stitch)

Sofia the First

Vanellope von Schweetz (Wreck-It Ralph)

Wendy Darling (Peter Pan)

Honestly didn’t expect to end up with this many, but it’s been really fun turning all your suggestions into actual patterns.
