I asked someone why they want a master's degree
When I was 16 years old, I asked one of my teachers why she wanted a master's degree. No particular reason for asking, but I still remember her answer 16 years later.
"So when I see a pair of $600 shoes, I can say I have the money."
I was a little confused, but I accepted her answer. However, I thought later on to myself, "I don't like shoes that much."
