I've been working on this sophie hood since I was able to think coherently after surgery. It's my first project with much nicer needles I got and some yarn I got from a local yarn fair (I'll go find the label if anyone wants the brand). I am *obsessed* with the way these colors are falling together right now.
I just got my first isopods! (a group of about 10 dairy cows) and I put some cuttlebone pieces in their tank for them to get some good calcium but I didn't expect them to go and pull the chunks into hiding places! They've made all of the chunks disappear overnight???? How are they so strong???
A few weeks ago my partner's favorite build a bear was lost at the airport. I searched for a replacement and they were all wicked expensive... I put out a post on build a bear bst not expecting for much of a solution. I got a message a bit later from someone who reached out with the bear they had a dupe of. I offered trades or to pay for it and shipping. They didn't let me pay anything ;-; they just wanted to send him for free to a good home.
This is Greg Jr. I am so happy, my partner is so happy and this restored my faith in there being good people out there on the internet! I really couldn't believe someone would be that nice for a stranger but they were.

I don't know if this fits in this subreddit but I just had nose surgery yesterday and I apparently talked about project hail mary *so much* when I was waking up that the nurses had to ask my partner what I was talking about. Like the second thing I remember saying was "Grace Rocky save stars". I also talked a lot about the beginning scene where he's waking up from his coma. I also definitely spoiled the book for the nurses lol cause I kept talking about how Grace didn't want to go to space and he was pinned down and drugged but that I didn't have to worry cause the nurses didn't do that. And then I might of clarified with them that I wasn't in space. I vaguely remember saying "amaze" a lot too. I can't confirm all of this cause I was on many drugs but god damn I love that book.

Hi there! My partner tragically lost his weighted bear Greg in the LAX airport...
I want to find him a replacement but a lot of the listings i'm finding are a bit... wild. I understand the zipper ones are sought after now, I don't need a zipper one. Greg was velcro and well loved.. If anyone has any leads I would appreciate it a lot. It can be the bear or the sloth. I'd be willing to talk about prices, I can also trade for some bracelets I make! I'll make a custom one of whatever you want (within reason 15-20ish strings across, I've posted examples.) I know that's an odd offer but I figured Id try. For the record I mean I'd pay a discounted price plus a bracelet not like- just pay in bracelets lol.
