Absurd thing and it’s chudlet

Absurd thing and it’s chudlet

[3 ADFs, 2 adolescents and 1 senior frog. Currently in a temp tank for the next 2 weeks, before I will be moving them into a 10 gallon, species only. Picture was taken during a cleaning, but I have several wood hides for them as well as 4 pothos plants growing out of the tank (they rest on the plant’s roots). Statue in the corner is made of aquarium safe resin.]

Vacationing for a week, need advice

Hello everyone! As the title suggests I am going on vacation a week from now, and while I was originally going to have a friend watch them, circumstances have changed and that is no longer an option.

I have three frogs at the moment, 1 older frog and 2 much younger ones which I got in July. They are all at a healthy weight, but the younger ones are still quite small (about half the size of my senior frog) and I worry about them being affected.

In total it would be 5 days between feedings, but if anyone has any advice or recommendations I’m all ears.

Greedy fish must repent for his sins

Sonion ate a bunch of baby pest snails, and must now be put in box to fast (poor buddy is a bit bloated). Tragic times.

(he doesn’t attack the grown ones, I just didn’t see the eggs in time. This is just until the bloat goes down, so like a day or two)

ADFs with Betta (temporarily)

Hi all! I know that generally it’s best not to keep ADFs with a betta due to aggression, but I wanted some advice with my specific situation.

Currently I have 2 ADFs, which I keep in a 10 gallon. They’re both pretty old (around 8-9), and I’ve had them for a long time with larger snails, and I’ve never had an issue with them nipping. I also tong feed them, as I’ve had issues with them bullying each other for food.

Now I’ve been rescuing/rehabilitating Bettas since I was like 11, so people tend to go to me if they find a sick fish. I’ve always kept them separate, and last 2 years started rehousing instead of keeping (I am a college student and am allowed 1 tank).

But now someone just surrendered to me this Betta, and while Im keeping him separate for now, Im not sure if I’ll be able to find him a new home between when he recovers and when I’m back in school. Would it be worth (once he recovers) attempting to keep them together for a few months until i can get off campus housing? They’d be closely monitored, and if there was an issue I can just smuggle a 5g under my bed (but it’s not ideal).

Any advice or similar experiences would be much appreciated 🙏🙏🙏
