Weird I know but this might actually be my grail. I love the texture, the grip, the weight, the sound, how it looks. I just really enjoy this knife for some reason. Also as a side note this is my first clip I've ever managed to record without any giant hiccups, so I'm getting better at video!
Took it on vacation and got way better (I think, not sure).
Been using this thing on and off for the past week, it's been pretty busy but I've been fitting it in whenever I feel like it.
Slowly getting better, working on flow more than difficulty because that's a mistake I made for balisong and now my flow sucks.
Recently started getting into the tech side of flipping and have started improving at that. Hope to one day be as good as you all.
Hey guys, I recently got into penspinning, coming from balisong, and this was my progress after one day! For those of you who are also in the balisong community, does there happen to be a Big Flips equivalent for penspinning?
Also does anyone have any suggestions for what I should learn or work on next?
Recently the holy trinity of dk, falcon, and mario have been absolutely flooding online for me, and it's getting incredibly boring very quickly. Something about the way they all play the exact same (except the one in this clip he was actually pretty chill), and all have like negative endlag (except dk there's just too many of him so it's annoying).
Anyway here's this comeback I made on a mario that was half luck (sd) and half locking tf in for the last stock. Thought you all might enjoy.
So recently I was feeling pretty down about my flipping. I have been flipping for 2-3 years now but have always felt I was progressing very slowly compared to other people I say online. I would hit some cool combos or tricks randomly, but the instant I recorded everything fell apart. My flow has always been very beginner, and I used far too many rebounds and akward, janky movements.
Then, I worked up the courage to post a clip on here, asking for a skill check and advice. I was given such needed and helpful tips on how to improve my flow, and I started expirementing with different moves like the cherrypicker and ladders and rev moves. I have started getting into transitions and aerials, but I haven't quite gotten those down yet.
Overall, thanks to all the wonderful people on this subreddit, I think I've managed to improve greatly over the last week or so, and I look forward to moving onward in my flipping journey with new confidence.
Lets just pretend that rev 8ball at the end worked and I did something cool after, this was the coolest clip I could get on video because I suck at videoing myself and get nervous and junk.
Okay before I get absolutely flamed, let me get this out of the way:
I respect Sheik mains. I know Sheik is a difficult character to main. I know she does like 2% per hit. I know she can't kill til 180% and dies at 75%. I know you have to win neutral like 18 times for one stock. I know she's incredibly hard to control and perform well with.
But also her framedata and combo game are so ridiculously good that most of the match becomes me getting put in a combo for 7 minutes praying that I can get an attack out in time to land a lucky hit. Yes, she is a rushdown brawler and that's the way they're designed, but I do not enjoy the way sheik matches play out. When playing against a Sheik, you are either in disadvantage, getting combod and feeling useless, or the Sheik is dead.
The outcome almost always feels like a lose-lose, because if the Sheik wins you feel kinda let down because you did basically nothing the entire match, and it was mostly just you sitting there for 7 minutes letting the Sheik do their stuff and not really playing the game or having fun. On the other hand, if you win, it feels undeserved and that you got lucky with some smash attack that killed them at 70%, and you just end up feeling bad for the Sheik player and for yourself.
I honestly wish Sheik did more damage but was a bit less oppressive, so that matches against her became less about struggling to get out of disadvantage and landing a few random hits and more actually playing neutral.
I'll probably get ragged on for this take because yes Sheik is a pretty honest character and hard to do anything with, but I personally dislike her game design and the way most matches with her play out.
I actually can't with Terry. There is not a millisecond of the match where he isn't throwing out some random bullshit disjointed unreactable burst option safe on parry move. I swear to god every single online Terry I've ever played just moves the stick in a circle and spams a and b. The instant I'm remotely near the edge: Power geyser! Power geyser! Power geyser! Power geyser! Power geyser! Power geyser! Every single one of his normals combos into literally anything the mind can dream of. He is in my opinion one of the easiest and mashiest characters in this entire game, and it's incredibly rare that I meet one I'm actually impressed with. Fuck Terry.
I know I'm not the best and that my flow could totally use some help, but what would you rate me?
As a side note I can do better than this but the instant I start recording myself flipping I lowkey fall apart and can't get anything going.
Stupid ztd I hit on this mashy cpt falcon, wish my jab had hit for mixups but this works too. I've just been running into so many captain falcons recently and they all play the exact same. The one in this clip up smashed 3 times within 10 seconds.

Ganon mains, you all gotta be the most resilient mfers ever man. I decided to play ganon one time just to see what it was like, and am instantly matched into a min-min. This bitch got outplayed so hard they got hit by up-tilt, and I still lost. Literally the most unwinnable mu I think I've ever experienced other than Samus-Olimar. I can't imagine putting up with that all day, day after day. I'm gonna try to play ganon more so I can see what it's like to be put through hell, which will hopefully make me play more aggressive overall. I'm so sorry to all you ganon mains, but also keep doing what you're doing it's cool.
Holy fuck dude every single time I play a paisy, the millisecond I'm offstage they just start randomly throwing these at me, and if I get hit by one of the 10 they have time to throw out because they can pick one every .5 seconds, before getting back I'm just dead. Also fuck paisy's forward air, that shit has no business killing at like 100.
Why the fuck is it literally impossible to buffer dtilt out of shield? I try to do it constantly, because for samus it's fast, and for pit and lucario it helps combo, but every single time I've tried, absolutely nothing happens and I just stand there like an idiot mashing dtilt on my control.
Dude I actually hate bayo. Whoops I missed an ftilt, time to scroll my phone while I wait for her to stop sweating and gooning all over her combo for half an hour. Yay I got out... never mind I missed one move and now I get to scroll again. Oh look I'm over 80? time to throw out random smash attacks and witch times and hope it works. How do you all actually enjoy playing bayo, it just seems like it has to get old at some point. It's literally just the same thing every single game.

Shadow ball is just charge shot but not complained about.
I know paralyze sucks but man when you get hit by it it's fucking annoying.
Confusion's annoying because just in case you want to try to hit them in the corner they're running away too they can just reflect it. Also it confirms into aerials and junk.
Huge jump and teleport make a pretty good recovery.
2 kill throws (3 counting down throw - fair) which all kill very early
I know tail hurtbox or whatever but goddamn his attacks are long when you're fighting him.
Spammable ass down smash holy dude why is a smash attack safe on shield.
Goes invisible for his air dodge so it's harder to frame trap him (niche annoyance but I play pit so)
I dunno, something about Mewtwo is super annoying to me, and honestly part of it might just be that literally nobody knows he exists until suddenly he's spamming shadow ball and fishing for paralyze.
