Thoughts on Texas AG Ken Paxton giving 30 day plea deal to Rapist Adam Hoffman?

Say what you will about democratic justices being too soft on crime and I can agree with that at times. But from life in prison with no chance of parol for three years of sexual abuse to the original plea deal offer of no jail served, no need to register as a sex offender, and bing allowed to keep his law licence. The visiting judge Sparkman surprised at how lenient it was doubled it to 60 days jail and Hoffman must resign his credentials with the Texas bar for at least 5 years. He will still not need to register as a sex offender because he was required to plea guilty to misdemeanors and not a felony.

This is a candidate for the Senate. Like this seems like a unbelievable miscarriage of justice.

Surely he should resign from the race, like the optics of this really does not show "tough on crime" at all.

SLV roll CCs down or stay.

I had 3 $73.5 May 15th CCs that I rolled up and out to June 5th $77 for a credit during the rally this week. Todays drop has me questioning if it's just a healthy pullback after the rally or another blowoff top like when it crossed $100.

JPM has a 2026 average price target of $81/oz and so I've been trading around that range. I'm up $3000 in 3 months doing this. The volatility has been great for premiums it's almost out performing my best wheeling stock PM ($3000 in a month and a half.) But managing the position during this volatility has been interesting, i'm not sure if i'm picking the best strikes.

It looks like it's bottoming out around $73 right now but when I've been watching the chart these last few months I've noticed on down trends it seems to drop hard all at once then trade sideways for a while before dropping hard again.

I'm trying to learn how to better gauge support and resistance levels to better pick strikes but commodities feel like they play by different rules.

Should Virginia pull an Ohio?

Just continue to submit slightly different but still illegal maps(including previously rejected maps) until the 2026 election is too close and are allowed to use one of the illegal maps as it would be necessary to meet election deadlines? Because if Ohio was allowed to do it and conservatives and Republicans didn't decry it, surely Democrats and Progressives would be allowed to do the same correct? It's only fair.

ASTS earnings?

After RKLB's earnings things look good for space stocks i'm thinking that the SpaceX IPO hype is going to also drag the other space stocks up with it. I sold 2 NVDA $200 May 29th puts that i'm now up 70% on i'm tempted to close those and shift the buying power into selling 4 ASTS $70 June 5th puts, looks like it wants to try and recover towards $100 in the next month or two. So on a good beat and the stock rising 5% to 10% on earnings and the IV crush i could sell these for $650 each on monday and possible buy them back on Tuesday/Wednesday for under $200.

Anyone have a bear thesis they want to share would love to hear the other side before I commit.

Probably really dumb i'm typing this on the train home after a really long day. Looking at sndk options expiring feb 19 2027. If you buy a $600 put and sell a $1000 put and a $1470 call that is a combined total premium of 440 (i used the mid prices) That's a min profit of $4000 with SNDK at $600 or below and a breakeven with SNDK at $1910. So max profit would be $44000 for this trade. It's already up over 2000% in the last year do you think it can do another 100% in the next year for a 4000% increase in 2 years?

The premium on puts is so much that directly shorting it would require a huge drop to be profitable. Doing it in this round about way seems pretty risky but quite profitable.
