First time commuting from Iligan to Davao by bus. Badly need advice on transfers, total cost, and tips.

Hey everyone! I’ll be heading to Davao City to attend the SPVM 2026 National Physics Conference at Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU).

Since I’m commuting by bus from Iligan City and haven't taken this route before, I’d love to ask for some first-hand advice on how to get there smoothly.

My general plan is to transfer via Cagayan de Oro:

Leg 1: Bus from Iligan to Bulua Terminal in CDO.

Transfer: Taxi/jeep across town from Bulua to Agora Terminal.

Leg 2: Ceres/RTMI bus from Agora to Davao Ecoland Bus Terminal via Buda.

Last Leg: Local Davao ride from Ecoland Terminal to AdDU (Roxas Campus).

A few questions for anyone who has traveled this recently:

Direct Bus: Is there a direct bus option passing through Iligan nowadays, or is transferring in CDO still the most reliable way?

Expenses: Roughly how much cash should I prepare for bus fares, the CDO transfer, meals along Buda, and the taxi/jeep to AdDU?

Travel Time: How long does the full journey usually take? Is an early morning departure or a night bus better?

Transit Tips: Any advice on stopovers, or what to keep in mind for the cold stretch along the Buda highway?

I’d really appreciate any tips or recent updates from locals and frequent commuters.

Thank you!

Pass lang sa bypass lock kay gikan ra ni sa akong papa (need lang tulong sa account/resetting process). Any recommended tech shops sa Robinsons, Gaisano, or downtown/Poblacion area?

Salamat kaayo!

Maayong adlaw, mga ka-Iliganon!

Basin naa moy ma-recommend o nahibal-an nga open hiring nga part-time jobs diri sa iligan?

Graduating student ko and thesis nalang akong gihulat karon nga semester, so wala na koy classes. Very flexible kaayo akong schedule and vacant mostly akong mga adlaw. Ready ra pud ko mo-render og evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.

Willing kayo ko mo-work and mo-learn as:

Service Crew / Cashier / Barista (Cafes or Fast Food)

Utility Crew / Dishwasher / Cleaner

Merchandiser or Retail Crew

Any entry-level or assistant roles

Physical work, shifting schedule, or fast-paced setup is no problem at all. Hardworking, reliable, and trainable kaayo.

If naa moy nahibal-an nga hiring (cafe, diner, store, or local business) or if need ninyo og tawo, please comment below or send me a DM. Willing rapud ko mo-send dayon sa akong CV / Résumé.

Salamat kaayo!

Planning to take a second degree at Ateneo de Davao after graduating from another university

I'm currently studying at another university and haven't graduated yet, but I'm planning ahead. After I finish my current bachelor's degree, I'd like to pursue another degree at Ateneo de Davao.

For those who know the process, how does this work? Would I apply as a second-degree student, or is there a different admission category? Is it possible to have some subjects credited, or do most students start from the beginning?

I'd appreciate any information or personal experiences. Thanks!
