Whenever I get my knotless braids the furst few days are really itchy, then a few days after that my scalp starts getting flacky. I cannot tell if it's dandruff, styling gel or product build up. For context I even started using Auntie Jackie's products and it is still the same. I am really seeking help/advice on how to deal with this. It's the literal reason why I cannot have braids longer than a 4 weeks or get fulani braids because of the flakes and it's really embarrassing. I know the constant braiding is damaging my hair by thinning out, I'm practically extremely clean and I even wash my hair with my braids on.

Any advice? I really wanna save on money by having them last longer.
