I still remember this episode and I cherish it

I feel so glad for all the filler episodes the classic had, in a way, we had the opportunity to see more of the genin and jonin, and I really wish Anko had had more opportunities in thw Shippuden. She was so freakin cool

First of all, it's just a theory based on small things I've noticed, since Gardevoir and Gallade are my favorite Pokemon.

I think Gallade and Froslass were planned for the third generation from the beginning, and Kirlia and Snorunt would have the gimmick of evolving based on gender, like Burmy, but the technology of the time couldn't handle that, so they left Froslass and Gallade on hold.

And why do I think that?! Part of the concept of the third generation centers on pairs/couples: Illumise and Volbeat, Gorebyss and Huntail, Pluse and Minun, Latios and Latias, but none had gender-based evolution. We only had that in the fourth generation, with Burmy, Combee, and obviously Gallade and Froslass.

Another reason is the beta version of Gardevoir; it was basically a psychic type Roselia based on the spider lily flower, and the Pokédex description said it was a uniquely female species, but in the end both Roselia and Gardevoir ended up being 50/50.

And there's Gardevoir's Japanese name, "Sirnight" or Sirknight, pronounced "Saanaito," which in Japan is an onomatopoeia for "Come, Knight." It emphasizes the "princess" concept of Gardevoir, but it could be hinting at Gallade.

And bringing Snorunt into the discussion, the debut episode of Ralts in the anime showed a strong connection between Ash's Snorunt and Ralts, perhaps already hinting at Gallade and Froslass, since they evolve with the same stone. And From what I've heard, there's a legend or tale about a Samurai seeking revenge against a Yukiona. And interestingly, as generations passed, the Ralts line began to be placed in snowy environments, in Legends Arceus and SV, that even makes shiny Gardevoir look like a Yukiona

So, in conclusion, Gallade and Froslass are of a single gender because that was probably the idea from the start with their respective evolutionary lines, but Gardevoir and Glalie had to have both genders, since there was no way to fit a gender evolution, and if they were of a single gender, there would be no way to add Froslass and Gallade in the future

My favorite class has always been healer, and I love girly characters. I appreciate Brawl Stars wanting to distance itself from the "girly girl = healer support" stereotype in games (well, that's already being occupied by marksmen and assassins, but anyway) I really need a girly character who uses healing and shield powers, instead of jumping in to kill everyone (even though I like that too, I really appreciate Gigi and Melody)
