[Master Guide]

When a pulsating purple spore mutates a campus maintenance worker into a rampaging monster, an exhausted biology student must unexpectedly step up to survive. Using experimental technology from a secret subterranean lab, Zach Dawson transforms into a Power Ranger to save his friend and capture the beast before the fungal infection can spread.

TITLE: POWER RANGERS BIO-STRIKE

EPISODE: 01 - "PATIENT ZERO"

TEASER

INT. THE VIVARIUM - NIGHT

Darkness. The hum of high-powered cooling fans.

We are in a subterranean lab that looks more like a server room crossbred with a terrarium. Cables run along the floor, pulsing with faint blue light.

Standing at the main console is DR. JULIAN ERICKSON (35). He wears a lab coat with the sleeves rolled up. He hasn’t slept in days.

He stares at a massive HOLOGRAPHIC MAP of the city.

A SECTOR near the University is blinking rapidly. RED.

COMPUTER VOICE

> Bio-Sign detected. Sector 6. Spore Count: Critical.

Erickson slams his fist on the desk.

ERICKSON

> Not yet... we’re not ready.

He turns to the back wall.

The DECK WALL.

Five metallic slots. Five colored lights.

BLUE is LOCKED.

YELLOW is LOCKED.

GREEN is LOCKED.

WHITE is LOCKED.

Only the RED slot is humming. It pulses with a rhythmic, anxious beat.

Erickson walks over to it. He hesitates, his hand hovering over the keypad.

ERICKSON

(To the empty room)

> I hope you’re hungry.

He punches in a code.

CLACK-HISS.

The Red Slot opens. A metallic DECK BOX slides out. Erickson grabs it. It looks heavy. Cold.

INT. SEWER TUNNELS - NIGHT

Drip. Drip. Drip.

A flashlight beam cuts through the steam. A CITY WORKER is wading through ankle-deep water, checking pipes.

WORKER

> Dispatch, I’m at the junction. Smells like... rotting fruit down here.

The beam sweeps the wall.

The Worker freezes.

The walls aren’t concrete anymore. They are covered in a thick, pulsating carpet of PURPLE MOLD. Veins of glowing violet light run through the slime.

WORKER

> Dispatch? You seeing this?

The mold TWITCHES.

A burst of SPORES explodes from the wall, engulfing the worker. He screams, dropping the flashlight.

The flashlight falls into the water. In the darkness, something inhuman HISSES.

ACT ONE

INT. LECTURE HALL - DAY

Boring. So boring.

PROFESSOR GABLE (60s, monotone) is droning on in front of a whiteboard covered in complex biological diagrams.

PROFESSOR GABLE

> ...and thus, the survival rate of the Hymenopus coronatus depends entirely on its ability to remain unseen.

IN THE BACK ROW:

ZACH DAWSON (20) is slumped in his chair. Hoodie up. Eyes closed. Fast asleep.

Next to him, HARPER MURRAY (20) is awake, but he’s not taking notes. He’s recording Zach on his phone, trying to suppress a giggle.

PROFESSOR GABLE

> Mr. Dawson?

Zach doesn’t move. Harper nudges him with a pen. Hard.

HARPER

(Whispering)

> Dude. You’re up.

Zach jolts awake. He wipes a bit of drool from his chin. He blinks, trying to focus on the room. Everyone is staring at him.

ZACH

> Present.

PROFESSOR GABLE

> Nice of you to join us, Zach. Perhaps you can explain to the class why the Orchid Mantis is a poor hunter?

Zach rubs his eyes. He glances at the diagram on the board.

ZACH

> It’s not.

PROFESSOR GABLE

> Excuse me?

ZACH

> It’s not a poor hunter. It’s an ambush predator. It mimics the flower to lure pollinators. It doesn’t chase prey because it knows the prey will come to it. It’s efficient.

Zach yawns, pulling his hood back up.

ZACH

> Can I go back to sleep now?

Professor Gable makes a sour face. The class snickers.

EXT. CAMPUS QUAD - MOMENTS LATER

Zach and Harper walk through the busy campus. Zach looks exhausted, clutching a coffee cup like a lifeline.

HARPER

> "It’s an ambush predator." Classic. You’re gonna be a meme by lunch, bro. Check the views on the blog.

Harper shoves his phone in Zach’s face. The screen shows a blog titled: THE HIVE MIND: TRUTH IS BUZZING.

ZACH

> Harper, no one reads your conspiracy blog.

HARPER

> It’s not a conspiracy if it’s true! There are bugs in the system, Zach. Literally. Government surveillance beetles. I saw one yesterday.

Zach stops. He looks down at the sidewalk.

A small, iridescent GREEN BEETLE is crawling perilously close to the path of a jogging student.

Zach crouches down. He gently lets the beetle crawl onto his finger, then moves it safely into a nearby hedge.

ZACH

(To the beetle)

> Stay in the grass, buddy. It’s a jungle out here.

HARPER

> See? You’re obsessed with them. You’re practically one of them.

ZACH

> I’m late for work study. Catch you later, harp.

Zach peels off, heading toward the large glass structure at the edge of campus.

INT. UNIVERSITY GREENHOUSE - DAY

The air changes instantly. It’s warm, humid, and smells of wet earth and jasmine.

Zach walks in, his shoulders visibly dropping an inch. This is his safe space.

KATIE WALTERS (20) is standing on a ladder, misting a hanging row of Ferns. She wears oversized overalls and has a smudge of potting soil on her nose.

KATIE

> You look terrible.

ZACH

> Good morning to you too.

KATIE

> Another all-nighter? Or is Dr. Erickson working you to death in the basement again?

ZACH

> (lying)

> Soil samples. Very intense soil samples.

Katie climbs down the ladder. She pulls a granola bar from her pocket and tosses it to him.

KATIE

> Eat. You’re skinny enough as it is.

ZACH

> You’re a lifesaver.

KATIE

> Hey, can you look at something for me? South vents.

She leads him to the back corner of the greenhouse.

The ventilation grate is covered in a patch of FUZZY PURPLE MOLD.

KATIE

> I scrubbed this yesterday. It grew back in four hours. And look...

She picks up a trowel and taps the grate.

The mold PULSES. It ripples like a muscle flexing.

ZACH

> That’s... not normal fungus.

KATIE

> I called Maintenance. They should be here any—

CLANG.

The back doors burst open. A MAINTENANCE WORKER walks in, wearing a heavy-duty backpack leaf blower/mulcher. He looks annoyed.

WORKER

> Who called about the mold?

KATIE

> Over here! Be careful, it’s—

WORKER

> Yeah, yeah. Stand back. I’m gonna blast it.

The Worker revs the gas-powered blower. VROOOM.

ZACH

> Wait! Don’t—

The Worker points the nozzle at the mold and pulls the trigger. A jet of air hits the purple slime.

SCREEEEEECH!

The sound isn't mechanical. It’s a piercing, biological shriek.

The mold LASHES OUT. Thick purple tendrils shoot from the vent, wrapping around the nozzle of the blower.

WORKER

> What the—?!

The tendrils move fast. They snake up the machine, fusing into the metal. The plastic casing melts and bubbles, turning into organic armor.

The Worker screams as the infection hits his hazmat suit. He convulses.

FX: The Man and the Machine MERGE.

His limbs elongate. The leaf blower nozzle fuses into his chest, becoming a massive cannon. His head disappears inside a fungal shell.

He is no longer a man. He is the MULCHOR.

MULCHOR

(Voice distorted, bubbling)

> Puuuurge... the... greeeen...

The Monster raises its arm-cannon. The turbine in its chest spins up with a sickening wet sound.

ZACH

> Katie! Get down!

Zach tackles Katie behind a concrete planter just as—

BOOM!

A blast of concentrated SPORE SLUDGE obliterates the spot where they were standing.

FADE OUT.

ACT TWO

INT. THE GREENHOUSE - CONTINUOUS

SMOKE and SPORES fill the air.

The MULCH-MONSTER stomps forward. Its heavy boots crack the tile floor. It swings its arm-cannon, knocking over a rack of clay pots. CRASH.

MULCHOR

> Consumption... beginning.

ZACH is crouched behind the concrete planter, holding KATIE tight. She’s coughing, covering her mouth with her sleeve.

ZACH

(Whispering)

> The back door is blocked. We have to go through the service corridor.

KATIE

> Zach, what is that thing? It ate Mr. Henderson!

ZACH

> Don’t look at it. On my count. One... two... GO!

Zach grabs a bag of fertilizer and HURLS it at the monster.

POOF. The bag explodes against the Monster’s chest, creating a dust cloud.

MULCHOR

> Irritant detected.

Zach and Katie sprint toward the "EMPLOYEES ONLY" door.

The Monster spins its turbine. WHIRRRR. It fires a glob of sludge.

It misses them but splashes against the doorframe, sizzling like acid.

INT. BASEMENT CORRIDOR - CONTINUOUS

They burst into the dimly lit hallway. Pipes hiss overhead.

ZACH

> Go! Get to the fire alarm in the lobby!

KATIE

> I’m not leaving you!

ZACH

> I’ll draw it away! Go!

Zach shoves her toward the stairs leading UP. He turns and runs DOWN, deeper into the basement.

KATIE

> Zach!!

INT. LOWER BASEMENT - MOMENTS LATER

Zach sprints down the dead-end corridor. He stops at a wall covered in terrariums. He frantically feels under the shelves for a latch.

BOOM.

The door at the end of the hall flies off its hinges. The Mulch-Monster squeezes its bulk into the narrow hallway. It fills the space completely.

MULCHOR

> Nowhere... to run... little organic.

Zach backs up against the wall. He has nowhere to go.

ZACH

> Come on, Doc... pick up...

The Monster raises its cannon. The barrel glows purple.

Suddenly, the wall behind Zach HISSES.

A section of the shelving slides back. A hand shoots out, grabs Zach by the collar, and yanks him into the darkness.

ZAP!

The Monster’s blast hits the space where Zach just was, scorching the concrete. The secret door slams shut.

INT. THE VIVARIUM - CONTINUOUS

Zach stumbles onto the metal grating floor. He gasps for air.

DR. JULIAN ERICKSON stands over him, looking annoyed. He holds a tablet.

ERICKSON

> You’re late. And your heart rate is spiking to 160. Try to breathe, Mr. Dawson. Hyperventilation kills brain cells.

Zach scrambles up, looking around. The lab is illuminated by the eerie glow of the monitors.

ZACH

> That thing! Upstairs! It... it absorbed the maintenance guy!

ERICKSON

> Mulchor. A Drone class. Crude, but effective.

Erickson walks calmly to the main console. He types a command. The massive screen shifts to a schematic breakdown of the Monster.

ZACH

> How are you so calm? We need to call the police! The National Guard!

ERICKSON

> They can’t help. Conventional weapons won’t kill it. If you blow it up, the spores disperse and infect the entire zip code. It’s a hydra, Zach. Cut off one head, you get a plague.

ZACH

> Then what do we do?

Erickson turns. He points to the RED DECK BOX sitting on the center table.

ERICKSON

> We don’t do anything. You do.

Zach stares at the box.

ZACH

> No. No way. I’m a student. I study beetles, I don’t... I don’t fight monsters. Find someone else. Find a Marine.

ERICKSON

> The System is bio-locked to your DNA markers. I’ve been tracking your aptitude for months. You notice things others miss. You have the instincts of a survivor.

ZACH

> My "instincts" are telling me to run!

Suddenly, an ALARM blares.

COMPUTER VOICE

> Bio-Sign Detected. Upper Level. Target Acquired.

Erickson taps the screen. A security feed pops up.

It’s the GREENHOUSE.

Katie didn’t leave. She’s hiding behind a rack of potting soil, holding a shovel. The Mulch-Monster is stalking toward her, knocking over tables.

ERICKSON

> She didn’t run. She stayed to look for you.

Zach freezes. He watches the screen. The Monster is getting closer to Katie.

ZACH

(Quietly)

> Katie...

ERICKSON

> I can’t open the blast doors again, Zach. If that thing gets in here, the Mycelium takes the lab. Takes the city.

Zach looks at the screen. Then at Erickson. Then at the Box.

He walks over to the table. He grabs the SWARM BOX. It feels heavy in his hand.

ZACH

> Tell me how to kill it.

ERICKSON

> You don’t kill it. You capture it.

Erickson hits a button. The blast door hisses.

ERICKSON

> Go.

ACT THREE

INT. THE GREENHOUSE - CONTINUOUS

Mulchor flips a heavy table aside. Katie screams, backing into the glass wall. She swings the shovel.

CLANG. It bounces harmlessly off the monster's fungal armor.

MULCHOR

> Resistance... is... futile.

Katie slams her eyes shut and covers her ears with her hands as Mulchor raises its claw to strike.

ZACH (O.S.)

> Hey! Compost-Breath!

The Monster turns.

Zach stands at the other end of the greenhouse. He looks terrified, but he’s standing his ground.

ZACH

> Pick on someone your own species.

Zach clips the SWARM BOX to his belt. He hits the EJECT button.

SWARM BOX

> MANTIS!

A RED CARD shoots up. Zach catches it. He feels the energy humming in his fingertips.

ZACH

> CALL THE SWARM!

Zach throws the card.

FX: The card halts in mid-air, expanding into a 7-foot RED HARD-LIGHT GATE. The digital Mantis roars.

Zach sprints. He lowers his shoulder and SMASHES through the hologram.

SLOW MOTION: As he passes through, red data streams wrap around his limbs. The Mesh Suit forms. The Chitin Armor snaps on. The Helmet seals with a HISS.

REAL TIME: The RED MANTIS RANGER rolls out the other side, landing in a crouch between Katie and the Monster.

Katie slowly opens her eyes and stares, wide-eyed.

KATIE

> Who...?

RED RANGER (ZACH)

(Voice filtered)

> Get back!

The Mulch-Monster roars and charges.

MULCHOR

> New... Biomass!

Zach panics. He throws a wild haymaker punch.

The Monster tanks it. It doesn’t even flinch. The Monster backhands Zach.

WHAM. Zach flies backward, crashing into a potting bench. Clay pots shatter everywhere.

INT. THE VIVARIUM - CONTINUOUS

Erickson watches on the monitor. He presses his comms earbud.

ERICKSON

> Stop brawling, Zach! It’s walking armor. You can’t overpower a tank.

INT. GREENHOUSE - CONTINUOUS

Zach groans, getting to his feet.

RED RANGER (ZACH)

> Yeah? Well, it hits like a truck!

The Monster charges again.

ERICKSON (V.O.)

> You’re a Mantis. You don’t hunt. You wait. Find the opening.

Zach looks at the charging monster. He takes a breath. He remembers the lecture. Ambush predator.

He drops his hands. He stands perfectly still.

The Monster swings a massive haymaker.

At the last second—Zach SHIFTS.

He sidesteps the blow with blinding speed. He grabs the Monster’s extended arm, uses the momentum, and flips the beast over his shoulder.

CRASH. The Monster hits the floor hard.

RED RANGER (ZACH)

> Okay. That... that felt good.

Zach taps his Swarm Box. A new card pops up. WEAPON ICON.

RED RANGER (ZACH)

> Armament: Mantis Edges!

He throws the card. It shatters into pixels that reform in his hands as TWIN KAMAS.

RED RANGER (ZACH)

> Let’s trim the hedges.

Zach charges. This time, it’s a dance. He slides under the Monster’s arm-cannon, slashing the hydraulics. SPARKS. He spins, slicing the back of its knees. SPARKS.

The Monster falls to one knee, groaning. Its purple glow flickers and fades.

MULCHOR

> System... failing...

INT. THE VIVARIUM - CONTINUOUS

ERICKSON

> It’s critical. End it, Zach. Use the Blank.

INT. GREENHOUSE - CONTINUOUS

Zach draws a WHITE CARD (Containment Card).

RED RANGER (ZACH)

> Specimen... Captured!

He throws the card.

FX: The card expands into a digital PYRAMID FIELD around the Monster. The Monster roars as it breaks apart into red data streams. The streams are sucked into the card.

The card snaps shut, turns COLOR (showing a picture of the monster), and flies back to Zach’s hand.

Silence returns to the Greenhouse.

Zach stands there, chest heaving. He looks at the card in his hand. Then he looks at Katie.

She is still huddled in the corner, staring at him with awe.

KATIE

> You... you saved me.

Zach wants to say something. He takes a step toward her.

But sirens wail in the distance. Campus Security is coming.

He fires a grapple line from his wrist, zipping up toward the ventilation skylight.

He vanishes into the night, leaving Katie alone in the ruins of the plants.

FADE OUT.

(END OF EPISODE ONE)

NEXT TIME ON POWER RANGERS: BIO-STRIKE…

Zach quickly embraces his role as the city's new hero, but burning through his combat arsenal for viral fame leaves him dangerously exposed. When the sinister Patient Zero unleashes an energy-devouring monster on the city's power grid, the powerless Red Ranger must learn to fight with efficiency, or risk watching the entire city go dark.

Author’s Note 📝:

Hello everyone! I am incredibly excited to finally start sharing this project with you all. For those who might not know me from other communities, I've been writing serialized fanfiction and original scripts for quite a while now. I write exclusively in a traditional screenplay format, from my Destiny AU to Pokémon. Now, I'm bringing that same episodic, fast-paced script energy to the Morphin Grid. I’m not exactly sure if r/Tokusatsu is the proper place to post this but I hope you all will accept me!

I want to explicitly address the elephant in the room: Yes, this is an insect-themed Ranger team. However, this story has absolutely nothing to do with Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. Bio-Strike is a completely original concept with its own unique lore, mechanics, suits, and characters built entirely from the ground up.

Avatar: Winds of Change | S1E1: "The Red Dawn" (AU Story)

The peace of the Southern Air Temple is shattered when Sozin’s Comet turns the sky into a hellscape of crimson fire. As the Fire Nation launches an overwhelming assault on his home, young Aang must flee alongside Monk Gyatso in a desperate struggle to save the future of the Air Nomads.

TITLE: AVATAR: WINDS OF CHANGE

EPISODE: 01 - "THE RED DAWN"

SCENE START

EXT. SOUTHERN AIR TEMPLE - NIGHT

Thunder RUMBLES. A violent storm batters the sheer cliffs of the Patola Mountain Range. Rain lashes against the ancient stone pagodas.

INT. AANG'S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

A small, dimly lit room. AANG (12) moves frantically. His face is pale, streaked with tears. He shoves a few meager belongings into a satchel—a wooden toy, a few scrolls.

Outside the arched window, APPA (a massive, ten-ton Sky Bison) groans uneasily in the storm.

Aang throws the satchel over his shoulder and grabs his wooden glider. He pauses at the threshold, taking one last, heartbroken look at his room. He turns to step out into the rain—

And bumps squarely into a pair of orange robes.

Aang gasps, looking up. MONK GYATSO (Elderly, kind, but carrying an immense sadness) stands in the doorway. He looks at Aang’s packed bag, then at the storm outside.

AANG

(Voice trembling)

They’re going to send me away, Gyatso. To the Eastern Temple. I... I can't be the Avatar. I just want things to go back to normal.

Gyatso steps inside, the wind howling behind him. He gently places a hand on Aang’s shoulder.

GYATSO

The world is changing, Aang. And the winds of change are often violent. But you do not have to weather them alone.

Gyatso reaches down and slowly takes the satchel from Aang’s grip.

GYATSO (CONT'D)

Whatever the elders decide, I will not let them take you from me. We will face tomorrow together. I promise you.

Aang stares at his mentor. The panic in his chest slowly recedes. He looks out at the raging storm, then back to his warm bed. Slowly, he nods.

Aang sets his glider against the wall. Gyatso gives him a reassuring smile and steps out, closing the door.

Aang climbs into bed, pulling the covers up. He closes his eyes. The storm outside begins to quiet.

FADE OUT.

FADE IN.

INT. AANG'S ROOM - DAWN

Silence. The storm has passed.

Aang’s eyes flutter open. He stretches, a sleepy smile on his face. Gyatso kept his promise. Everything is going to be okay.

But something is wrong.

The light filtering into the room isn't the soft, golden hue of morning. It is a harsh, bruised crimson.

Aang sits up, his smile fading. The shadows in the room are stark and blood-red.

Aang climbs out of bed and walks toward the balcony. The air is stiflingly hot, completely devoid of the usual crisp mountain chill.

EXT. AANG'S BALCONY - CONTINUOUS

Aang steps outside. His breath catches in his throat.

The sky is on fire.

A massive, blazing celestial body—SOZIN’S COMET—streaks across the atmosphere, bathing the entire world in an apocalyptic red glow.

Suddenly, a massive, echoing blast shatters the morning silence. It isn't thunder. It's an explosion.

A column of thick black smoke rises from the lower courtyards of the temple.

Aang grips the stone railing, his eyes wide with absolute terror.

AANG

(Whispering)

No...

Before he can move, the door to his room bursts open.

Gyatso stands there. The gentle, grandfatherly aura is completely gone. His eyes are wide, sharp, and frantic.

GYATSO

Aang! Get your glider! Now!

AANG

Gyatso, what's happening?! The sky—

GYATSO

(Grabbing Aang’s arm)

The Fire Nation! They are here.

Another EXPLOSION rocks the mountain. The sound of shouting and the roar of unnatural, supercharged flames echo up the cliffs.

GYATSO (CONT'D)

We have no time. To the bison stables. Run!

Gyatso pulls Aang into the hallway.

INT. TEMPLE CORRIDORS - CONTINUOUS

Absolute chaos. Monks and young initiates sprint through the halls. The beautiful, serene temple is bathed in red light and choking gray dust.

Through the massive archways, Aang sees the lower courtyards.

FIRE NATION SOLDIERS, their armor reflecting the crimson sky, unleash torrents of flame. The fire isn't normal—it is blindingly bright, roaring from their fists like explosive artillery shells, obliterating stone walls with single strikes.

Aang watches in horror as a group of senior monks are engulfed in a sea of fire.

GYATSO

Don't look, Aang! Keep moving!

They sprint toward the massive wooden doors of the stables.

INT. BISON STABLES - CONTINUOUS

Over a hundred frightened boys and a handful of surviving monks are desperately climbing onto the saddles of the massive Sky Bison. The beasts are agitated, roaring at the smell of smoke.

Aang spots Appa in the center of the chaos.

AANG

Appa!

Aang uses a burst of airbending to launch himself onto Appa’s massive head, grabbing the reins. Gyatso leaps onto the saddle behind him.

Suddenly, the stable doors EXPLODE inward.

Splinters of burning wood rain down. Through the smoke steps a squad of elite Fire Nation troops, their hands glowing with superheated energy.

Gyatso steps to the front of Appa’s saddle. He doesn't look like a pacifist anymore. He looks like a force of nature.

GYATSO

(To the fleet)

YIP YIP!

As Appa and the other bison surge forward, Gyatso thrusts his hands out. A concussive, deafening hurricane of wind blasts from his palms, throwing the Fire Nation soldiers backward out of the shattered doorway.

Appa launches off the temple balcony, diving into the clouds. Dozens of bison follow, a frantic exodus into the sky.

EXT. THE SKY - CONTINUOUS

Appa levels out. The cold wind whips past them.

Aang clings to the reins, hyperventilating. Slowly, he turns around in the saddle to look back.

The Southern Air Temple—his home, the only world he has ever known—is completely engulfed in towering, unnatural flames. Black smoke blocks out the sun, silhouetted against the bleeding red streak of the comet.

Aang stares at the destruction. The boy who just wanted things to go back to normal realizes, in a single heartbeat, that nothing ever will again.

FADE OUT.

FADE IN.

EXT. JAGGED MOUNTAIN PEAK - NIGHT

The howling wind whips snow across a barren, jagged precipice high above the cloud line.

One by one, the silhouettes of THIRTY SKY BISON descend from the dark sky. They touch down heavily, their massive chests heaving with exhaustion.

Appa lands near the edge of the cliff. He lets out a low, weary groan, his six legs giving out as he drops onto his belly in the snow.

Aang slips off Appa’s head, immediately turning to check on the younger initiates riding in the saddle. There are five boys, ranging in age from six to ten, shivering violently in their thin orange robes.

AANG

(Forcing a reassuring smile)

Okay, everyone off. Give the bison some room to breathe.

The boys slide down, their teeth chattering. The mountain air is punishingly thin and sub-zero.

Gyatso dismounts, his face drawn and exhausted. He looks across the peak. 150 monks and children are huddled together on the ice. No food, no shelter, just the clothes on their backs.

GYATSO

(Calling out, voice cutting through the wind)

Form the circles! Center yourselves! We cannot let the cold take what the fire could not!

Aang quickly guides his five younger initiates into a tight circle in the snow. He sits cross-legged in the center.

AANG

You heard Monk Gyatso. Close your eyes. Find your center.

A tiny boy, PASANG (7), is shivering so hard he can barely sit up.

PASANG

A-Aang... I'm s-so cold...

AANG

(Gentle, focusing)

I know, Pasang. But remember what the masters taught us. The air around us is a blanket. We just have to pull it tight. Follow my breath. In... and out.

Aang closes his eyes. He takes a slow, incredibly deep breath in.

Whoosh. A subtle but distinct sound of rushing wind emanates from Aang. The air immediately around his body begins to *shimmer* slightly, distorting like heat waves rising off hot pavement.

The snow directly beneath Aang's knees begins to melt into water.

AANG (CONT'D)

Compress the air. Feel the friction. Let it warm your blood.

Slowly, the younger boys mimic Aang’s breathing. In... and out. Across the entire mountain peak, dozens of circles of monks sit in deep meditation. The collective hum of their rhythmic breathing harmonizes with the howling wind. Faint, shimmering heat-mirages surround each circle.

The shivering stops. Their tense shoulders drop. Through sheer elemental mastery, they turn the freezing mountaintop into a sanctuary of warmth.

Gyatso walks slowly through the camp, checking on the initiates. He stops near Aang’s circle, watching his young pupil take charge of the frightened children. Pride flickers in Gyatso's tired eyes, quickly overshadowed by a profound sorrow.

Gyatso steps to the edge of the cliff. He looks out over the sea of clouds below.

Far in the distance, barely visible on the horizon, the bleeding red streak of Sozin's Comet slowly fades into the blackness of the night sky.

The era of peace is over.

Gyatso closes his eyes, taking a deep, shuddering breath of his own. Not to generate heat, but to steady his breaking heart.

EXT. JAGGED MOUNTAIN PEAK - CONTINUOUS

Aang gently opens his eyes. The heat-mirage around his circle is steady. Little Pasang and the other initiates have fallen into a deep, exhausted sleep, their breathing synchronized with the wind, completely insulated from the biting cold.

Aang quietly stands up, ensuring the pocket of warm air remains unbroken around the sleeping children. He turns toward the edge of the cliff.

Gyatso stands alone, his back to the camp, staring out at the pitch-black horizon where the red streak of the comet has finally vanished.

Aang walks up beside his mentor. For a long moment, neither of them speaks. The only sound is the whistling wind and the low, rumbling snores of the exhausted sky bison.

AANG

(Softly, sounding older than his twelve years)

They're asleep. The breathing technique is holding.

GYATSO

(Without turning)

You did well, Aang. You are a natural leader. They look to you.

Aang looks down at his boots. The terrifying reality of the day—the fire, the screams, the smoke—is finally crashing down on him. His lower lip trembles. He doesn't want to be a leader right now. He just wants to be a kid.

AANG

Gyatso...

Gyatso finally turns, looking down at his pupil.

AANG (CONT'D)

(Voice cracking)

Tell me it’s going to be okay. Tell me we’re just going to fly somewhere safe, and wait for this to blow over, and then... then we can go back home. Just tell me it’s all going to work out.

Gyatso looks into Aang’s desperate, pleading eyes. It breaks his heart. The easiest thing in the world would be to lie, to give the boy a comfortable illusion.

But Aang is the Avatar, and Gyatso respects him too much to lie.

Slowly, Gyatso kneels down in the snow so he is eye-level with Aang. He places both hands firmly on Aang’s shoulders.

GYATSO

(Gentle, but devastatingly honest)

Our home is gone, Aang. The world we woke up in this morning... it no longer exists.

Aang chokes back a sob, tears finally spilling over his cheeks. Gyatso pulls the boy in, wrapping his heavy robes tightly around Aang’s shivering shoulders. Aang buries his face in Gyatso’s chest, crying silently into the fabric.

GYATSO (CONT'D)

(Murmuring into Aang's head)

I cannot promise you that things will be easy. I cannot promise you that we will not face more sorrow. The path ahead is darker than any we have ever walked.

Gyatso pulls back just enough to look Aang directly in the eyes. The elder monk's gaze is fierce, burning with a quiet, unbreakable resolve.

GYATSO (CONT'D)

But hear me now. As long as the wind still blows, the Air Nomads survive. They burned our temples, but they did not burn our spirit. We will adapt. We will endure. And you, Aang... you will bring balance back to this world. I swear it to you.

Aang looks at his mentor. He wipes his tears away with the back of his sleeve. He takes a deep, shuddering breath, compressing the air, steadying his own pounding heart.

He nods.

AANG

(Whispering)

We will endure.

Gyatso pulls him close again. The two figures sit huddled together on the edge of the frozen precipice, a tiny beacon of life surrounded by the vast, unforgiving dark.

The camera slowly pulls back, leaving Aang and Gyatso as tiny silhouettes against the jagged, snow-swept mountains of a world forever changed.

The wind HOWLS, drowning out all other sound.

FADE TO BLACK.

NEXT TIME ON AVATAR: WINDS OF CHANGE…

The escape from the Southern Air Temple was only the beginning. With the Fire Nation blockade closing in and their sky bison exhausted, Aang and Gyatso are forced to take a desperate gamble, plunging into a world of mist and steel to survive.

Author’s Note 📝:

Hello everyone, welcome to Avatar: Winds of Change! I’ve always been captivated by one of the biggest 'what ifs' in the ATLA universe: What if Aang never ran away that night? This story is my take on that exact timeline. Instead of being frozen in ice for a century, Aang and Gyatso are forced to face the arrival of Sozin’s Comet head-on. I’m incredibly excited to explore how this single change ripples out to alter the entire war and the destiny of the Air Nomads.

For those just finding my work: I’m an established author over in the Destiny fandom, but I’m incredibly excited to stretch my creative muscles and jump into the AtLA universe. I hope you enjoy the read!

Pokémon: Kalos Chronicles | S1E1: "The Journey Begins"

[Master Guide]

When thirteen-year-old Hoenn transplant Aiden Drake moves to Vaniville Town, he thinks his biggest challenge will be overcoming his own anxiety. That changes the moment he crosses paths with his confident new neighbor, Lucy Moreau, who drags him headfirst into a Pokémon journey.

TITLE: POKÉMON: KALOS CHRONICLES

EPISODE 1: "THE JOURNEY BEGINS"

SCENE 1

EXT. VANIVILLE TOWN - DAY

A bright, idyllic town. Colorful flowers line cobblestone paths. It’s picturesque, almost overwhelmingly quaint.

A moving van is parked outside a charming, two-story house.

AIDEN (13) carries a heavy box labeled "AIDEN'S ROOM - KEEP OUT." He stumbles, setting it down on the path. He's dressed in practical cargo shorts and a T-shirt, looking a bit drab against the vibrant Kalos backdrop. He adjusts his glasses and sighs, wiping sweat from his brow.

His mom, ELIZA (40s), directs movers from the doorway.

ELIZA

Just inside, thank you! The green-taped boxes go upstairs.

Aiden looks at the town's central archway. He pulls a small, worn photo from his pocket: himself as a 10-year-old in Mauville City, Hoenn, standing next to a whirring generator. He looks lonely.

A blur of red zips past his head.

?? (O.S.)

 Fletchling, loop back!

A FLETCHLING, a small robin Pokémon, chirps and lands perfectly on the shoulder of LUCY (12).

Lucy stands on the sidewalk, hands on her hips. She wears stylish riding boots, a plaid skirt, and a look of intense curiosity. She's a year younger than Aiden but carries herself with the confidence of a Gym Leader.

LUCY

You’re the new neighbors. From Hoenn, right?

AIDEN

 (Startled, pockets the photo)

Uh, yeah. We just got here from Oldale. Well, Mauville originally. I’m Aiden.

LUCY

Lucy. My place is two doors down.

(She nods at his empty belt)

You look old enough. Where are your Pokémon?

AIDEN

 (A little embarrassed)

I don't... have any yet. Mom said I had to wait until we were settled.

Lucy's eyes go wide, as if he just admitted he can't read.

LUCY

You’re thirteen and you don't have a partner? How did you even protect yourself from wild Poochyena?

AIDEN

 I... mostly stayed inside.

Lucy shakes her head, a "this is a disaster" expression on her face. Her Fletchling tweets in agreement.

LUCY

Right. This is a problem. We’re fixing this. Now.

She grabs Aiden's wrist. He nearly drops his box.

AIDEN

Fix what? Wait, where are we going?

LUCY

To Lumiose City. To see the Professor. You can’t live in Kalos without a Pokémon. It’s... un-fashionable.

AIDEN

 My mom—

ELIZA

 (From the doorway)

Aiden, honey, who’s your new friend?

AIDEN

 (Being pulled away)

This is Lucy! She’s... taking me to get a Pokémon?

ELIZA

(She freezes, hands still clutching a cardboard moving box. Her brow furrows—half-concerned, half-amused by the girl’s sheer force of will.)

A Pokémon? Aiden, wait, we haven't even—

LUCY

(Waving, big smile)

Don’t worry, Mrs. D! I’m an insured trainer!

ELIZA

(Watching them go, she lets out a helpless, baffled laugh, shaking her head. She glances at the half-unpacked living room, then back at the dust cloud they’re kicking up.)

Well... at least he’s making friends.

Aiden looks back, helpless, as Lucy marches them out of Vaniville Town.

LUCY

First thing you need to learn: In Kalos, we don't wait for adventure to start. We chase it. And you, Hoenn-boy, are way behind.

Aiden, stumbling to keep up, is completely bewildered to be taking orders from a 12-year-old.

SCENE 2

EXT. LUMIOSE CITY - ESTABLISHING - DAY

A massive, sprawling metropolis. The contrast to Vaniville is jarring.

In the center, the PRISM TOWER stretches into the sky. People on SKIDDO zoom through dedicated lanes. GOGOAT taxis carry passengers. The sheer scale of everything is overwhelming.

Aiden stands frozen in the main plaza, mouth open.

AIDEN

This... this is a city? It’s bigger than all of Hoenn.

LUCY

 (Unfazed, checking her Rotom Phone)

It’s fine, just don’t make eye contact with the Furfrou stylists; they’ll try to give you a makeover. The lab is this way.

She pulls him through the crowd, past chic cafes and bustling shops.

SCENE 3

INT. SYCAMORE'S LAB - DAY

Bright, multi-leveled, and filled with roaming Pokémon. GOGGLE-WEARING ASSISTANTS rush around.

PROFESSOR SYCAMORE (30s), tall, stylish, and charismatic, is examining a FENNEKIN.

PROFESSOR SYCAMORE

...and that is why its inner-ear temperature is so fascinating!

 (He looks up)

Ah, Lucy! Back so soon? Did you forget your Poffins again?

LUCY

Funny, Professor. I brought you a new project.

 (She shoves Aiden forward)

This is Aiden. He’s from Hoenn. He’s thirteen. And he has no Pokémon.

Sycamore's eyebrows shoot up.

PROFESSOR SYCAMORE

Thirteen! My goodness. A late bloomer, are we? Or just very patient?

AIDEN

 Just... moving. Sir.

PROFESSOR SYCAMORE

Well, no matter! Starting your journey is a moment to be celebrated, at any age. Let’s find you a partner.

Sycamore leads them to a podium. Three Pokéballs open.

Out pop: CHESPIN (grinning, energetic), FENNEKIN (prim, preening), and FROAKIE (small, nervous, bubbles around its neck).

Chespin immediately tries to show off. Fennekin turns its nose up. Froakie just watches Aiden, looking just as out-of-place as he feels.

AIDEN

 (To Froakie)

 You’re new here, too, huh?

Froakie tilts its head, then nods almost imperceptibly.

AIDEN

 (To Sycamore)

 I’ll take him. Froakie.

PROFESSOR SYCAMORE

An excellent choice! Froakie, the Bubble Frog Pokémon.

As Sycamore hands Aiden a Pokédex and five Pokéballs, a new voice, dripping with disdain, cuts through the lab.

JACE (O.S.)

 You're just starting? How pathetic.

JACE (14) leans against a doorway. He's dressed in expensive, custom-tailored gear. A powerful, mean-looking AXEW stands at his feet. Jace's jacket is adorned with FOUR BADGES.

LUCY

 (Groans)

Oh, great. Jace. Shouldn't you be bothering the Gym Leader in Coumarine City?

JACE

Already beat him. Just stocking up.

 (He sneers at Aiden)

So this is the new talent? A cast-off from Hoenn and a...

 (He glances at Froakie)

 ...used tadpole.

Froakie visibly bristles, bubbles "frobbing" around its neck.

AIDEN

 Hey, don't call him that.

JACE

 (Laughs)

 Or what? You'll splash me?

(He holds up his badge case)

Four badges. My Axew could flatten your entire "team" before I've finished my espresso. Don’t bother trying the league, newbie. You’ll just be an embarrassment to Kalos.

Jace snaps his fingers. His Axew snorts and follows him out.

Aiden stares at the floor, his new confidence shattered. Froakie looks at Aiden, then glares at the door Jace left through.

PROFESSOR SYCAMORE

 (Adjusts his lab coat)

Don’t let Jace discourage you. Skill is not determined by one's starting line. It is determined by the bond you forge.

 (He smiles)

 Now, go. Your journey awaits.

Lucy nods, looking serious.

LUCY

 C'mon, Aiden.

She pulls him out of the lab, this time with more purpose.

SCENE 4

EXT. ROUTE 2 - AFTERNOON

The path back to Vaniville Town. It's a quiet, leafy route.

Aiden holds Froakie's Pokéball, staring at it.

AIDEN

He... was right. I don't know anything. I’m already thirteen. Jace has four badges. You’ve probably got badges, too.

LUCY

 (Stops walking)

One. From Viola in Santalune. But that’s not the point. Jace is a jerk who buys expensive TMs and power-levels. He’s not a trainer. He’s just a collector.

AIDEN

 What's the difference?

Lucy smirks.

LUCY

A collector has Pokémon. A trainer partners with them.

(She steps back, pulling a Pokéball)

Which is why it's time for Lesson One: The Basics of Battle.

AIDEN

What? Now? Against you? I just got him! He doesn’t even know me!

LUCY

Best way to get acquainted. Let's go, Fletchling!

Lucy tosses her ball. Her Fletchling emerges, chirping and ready.

AIDEN

 I... I don't know what to do!

LUCY

Sure you do! You’re from Hoenn, land of Water-types! He’s Water, she’s Flying/Normal. You have the advantage! Now send him out!

Aiden fumbles with his Pokéball.

AIDEN

 O-okay... Froakie, I choose you!

Froakie appears, looks at Fletchling, then at Aiden. It looks terrified. So does Aiden.

LUCY

 (Crossing her arms)

You get the first move. Call it a handicap.

SCENE 5

EXT. BATTLEFIELD (ROUTE 2) - CONTINUOUS

AIDEN

 (Panicked)

 Froakie! Uh... use Bubble!

Froakie spits a weak stream of bubbles. Fletchling zips into the air, dodging them easily.

LUCY

You have to aim! Fletchling, use Peck!

Fletchling dives, glowing, and strikes Froakie hard. Froakie is knocked back, skidding in the dirt.

FROAKIE

 (Weakly)

 Froa...

AIDEN

Froakie! Oh no! Are you okay?

LUCY

 (Sighs)

Don't panic, Aiden! You're the trainer! If you panic, he panics. What's Fletchling's advantage?

AIDEN

She's... she's too fast! She's in the air!

LUCY

Exactly! So what do you do?

Aiden looks at Fletchling, hovering. He looks at Froakie, crouched on the dusty path. He looks at the dirt. An idea clicks. It’s not about power. It’s about strategy.

AIDEN

 (A new determination)

Froakie! Don't aim for Fletchling! Aim for the ground right in front of her! Use Bubble!

Froakie, surprised, trusts him. It fires a steady stream of bubbles at the patch of dirt beneath the hovering Fletchling, turning it into a slick, soapy mud puddle.

LUCY

 (Confused)

 Why would you..?

 (She shakes it off)

It doesn't matter! Fletchling, Quick Attack!

Fletchling rockets toward Froakie, flying low. But as it hits the ground to launch its attack, its talons hit the mud.

SQUELCH.

Fletchling slips, tumbling beak-over-tailfeathers, completely grounded and covered in mud.

LUCY

 What?!

AIDEN

 (Eyes wide)

It worked! Froakie, now! Use Pound!

Froakie leaps forward and lands a solid thwack on the dazed Fletchling.

Fletchling shakes its head, stunned.

Lucy stares for a second... and then bursts out laughing. She recalls Fletchling.

LUCY

 (Smiling)

Okay. Not bad, Hoenn-boy. You made her slip. You used the field. You're thinking.

Aiden rushes over and picks up Froakie, who looks exhausted but proud.

AIDEN

We did it, Froakie! We actually did it!

Froakie croaks happily, blowing a single, triumphant bubble.

LUCY

Lesson One: Check. You know how to battle. Kinda.

She points down the path. They’ve arrived at the entrance to SANTALUNE FOREST. The trees are dark and dense, and the sounds of wild Pokémon echo from within.

LUCY

(Tossing a Pokéball in her hand)

 Ready for Lesson Two?

Aiden looks at Froakie, who nods. He looks at the imposing forest, takes a deep breath, and nods back.

AIDEN

 Lesson Two?

LUCY

 (Grinning)

 How to catch Pokémon.

She steps into the shadows of the forest. Aiden, clutching Froakie, follows her in.

FADE OUT.

[END OF EPISODE 1]

NEXT TIME ON POKÉMON: KALOS CHRONICLES...

With his new partner Froakie by his side, Aiden ventures into the dense shadows of Santalune Forest to catch a fiery counter for his very first Gym battle. But between an unexpected run-in with the stylishly sinister remnants of Team Flare and Gym Leader Viola's massive, web-filled greenhouse arena, Aiden will have to rely on pure strategy—not just beginner's luck—to survive the day and earn the Bug Badge!

(Episode 2 drops next Tuesday, 7/7/26!)

Author’s Note:

Welcome to the official premiere of Pokémon: Kalos Chronicles!

If you saw this pop up on the feed a little while ago under the title Pokémon: Chronicles, you aren't crazy! I quickly realized the original title shared a name with an official anime spin-off from the early 2000s, which caused some understandable confusion. To keep things clear, I've rebranded the series to Kalos Chronicles—a naming format that will carry over as our heroes travel to new regions in future seasons!

For those just finding my work: I’m an established author over in the Destiny fandom, but I’m incredibly excited to stretch my creative muscles and jump into the Pokémon universe. This series is an episodic, OC-insert set after the events of Pokémon X & Y but before Legends ZA. You can expect a fractured, desperate remnant of Team Flare, highly strategic Gym battles, and some familiar canon faces showing up a little older and wiser down the line.

Thanks for giving it a read, and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Aiden's first steps into the Kalos region alongside Lucy!

Destiny: New Legacy | S3E4: "Interception" (AU Story)

[Master Guide] [<- Previous Episode]

Loyalties are pushed to the breaking point when Rhys and Val finally corner Lili-4 and the Exo Stranger in the Europan ruins. Surviving the harsh elements is one thing, but surviving the devastating truth of their shared past might be the Fireteam's greatest challenge yet.

TITLE: DESTINY: NEW LEGACY

SEASON: 03

EPISODE: 04 - "INTERCEPTION"

SCENE START

EXT. SPACE - JUPITER ORBIT

The bruised, massive sphere of Jupiter fills the void.

FWASH.

Two ships drop out of hyperspace, their engines flaring as they decelerate violently into the Jovian system.

Leading the formation is THE SAILING SHIELD, a heavy, angular jumpship with stark black-and-white plating, built for taking hits. Flanking it is THE TALON BLUE, a sleek, predatory vessel gleaming in metallic blue and silver.

INT. THE TALON BLUE - COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS

NAXI VAL sits in the pilot's seat. She isn't looking out the viewport; she is surrounded by a dozen glowing purple holographic charts. The void-weaver is tracking the invisible.

NAXI VAL The paracausal wake is massive. She isn't just using Stasis; she is radiating it.

INT. THE SAILING SHIELD - COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS

RHYS COOPER grips the steering yoke. The heavy Titan armor of his gauntlets creaks under the pressure. He looks angry—furious at what he perceives as a betrayal of their Fireteam's code.

But beneath the anger, his hand is shaking.

RHYS COOPER

Is she corrupted?

NAXI VAL (V.O.)

(Over comms)

Unknown. But Skuld says the threads are... cold.

Cooper punches the nav-controls, locking onto the coordinates on the frozen moon below. He views her not just as a lost friend, but as a potential threat that must be brought in.

RHYS COOPER

We bring her in. If she resists... we suppress her.

SKULD (V.O.)

(Val's Ghost, voice ethereal over the comms)

You say 'suppress.' You mean 'save.' The line is thin, Titan.

Cooper ignores the Ghost. He pushes the throttle forward, diving toward the raging blizzards of Europa.

EXT. EUROPA - EVENTIDE RUINS - DAY

The storm is a blinding wall of white.

Cooper and Val trudge through the knee-deep snow. Cooper walks point, his auto rifle raised. Val glides just behind him, her robes untouched by the frost.

They walk past the frozen, shattered bodies of House Salvation soldiers.

CRUNCH.

Cooper’s boot kicks a severed Fallen mechanical arm. It is encased in dark blue, jagged ice. It’s a trail of breadcrumbs, and it is brutal.

RHYS COOPER

(Low)

Eyes up.

They clear a snowdrift and step into a ruined courtyard.

In the center of the ruins stands LILI-4.

She is standing over the hulking, severed chassis of a dead Vex Minotaur. She is covered in thick frost, blending into the environment.

She turns her head slowly. Her optical sensors aren't their usual warm orange. They are glowing a piercing, unnatural BLUE.

Standing just a few feet beside her, pulse rifle resting easily in her hands, is ELSIE BRAY (THE EXO STRANGER).

Cooper levels his auto rifle directly at Lili.

RHYS COOPER

Lili! Step away from the Stranger!

Lili fully turns to face him. Her movements are slow, sedated, and incredibly cold. The Stasis has completely shifted her demeanor.

LILI-4

Go home, Cooper. You’ll freeze out here.

Cooper’s grip tightens on his weapon. He steps forward, his boots crunching heavily in the snow.

RHYS COOPER

You abandoned the Fireteam. You're wielding Darkness. Protocol says I have to put you down.

ACTION BEAT:

Lili’s hand twitches. In a microsecond, her fingers drop to her belt, hovering over a Stasis grenade. Her other hand rests casually near the grip of The Last Word.

It’s a Mexican Standoff. The tension in the freezing air is suffocating.

LILI-4

(Voice hard, dripping with cynical edge)

Protocol? I’m trying to save us from him!

Lili points a metal finger past Cooper’s shoulder, toward the dark, monolithic silhouette of the DEEP STONE CRYPT looming in the distance.

Cooper doesn't look back. His sights remain locked on her chest.

Elsie Bray steps forward, placing herself slightly between the Titan’s rifle and the Hunter. Her glowing eyes meet Cooper's.

ELSIE BRAY

Lower your weapon, Titan. She is the only reason you aren't dead already.

FADE OUT.

SCENE CONTINUES.

EXT. EUROPA - EVENTIDE RUINS - CONTINUOUS

The Mexican standoff holds for one agonizing second.

Then, the ice beneath them violently trembles.

RHYS COOPER

(Frowning, keeping his rifle up)

Tell me that’s your trick, Hunter.

LILI-4

Not me.

BOOM.

A massive HOUSE SALVATION BRIG drops from a cloaked skiff above, slamming into the courtyard and crushing the frozen Vex chassis beneath its massive treads.

Before Cooper can pivot, the air tears open with the sickening, digital screech of Vex teleportation.

VWOOP-VWOOP.

Three VEX WYVERNS materialize on the flanks. Their massive, shielded wings snap open, glowing with volatile Void energy.

The Fireteam is surrounded. The standoff is over; survival takes over.

RHYS COOPER

Contact! Form up!

Cooper defaults to standard Vanguard tactics. He drops to one knee and summons a TOWERING BARRICADE. The wall of Light springs up, absorbing a barrage of Void blasts from the Wyverns.

RHYS COOPER

Hold the line! Val, I need suppressing fire!

But Lili doesn't hold lines. She is wild, unbound by Vanguard doctrine.

The Brig charges its main cannon, aiming directly at Cooper’s barricade. The Light shield won't hold against heavy ordnance.

Lili doesn't flinch. She steps in front of the barricade.

She slams her hand onto the snowy ground.

LILI-4 GLACIER GRENADE.

A massive, jagged wall of STASIS CRYSTALS erupts from the earth, physically blocking the Brig’s cannon just as it fires.

KABOOM.

The Stasis wall absorbs the blast.

Lili doesn't stop there. She sprints forward, leaping into the air. She performs her signature move—"The Shatter". She enters a SHATTERDIVE, slamming feet-first into her own frozen wall.

The crystals explode outward like a frag grenade, sending razor-sharp shrapnel tearing through the Fallen infantry advancing behind the Brig.

Cooper watches, stunned. It’s chaotic, but devastatingly effective.

Suddenly, a WYVERN screeches.

It leaps into the air, its wings folding back. It initiates its notorious, lethal dive-bomb attack, aiming directly at the Titan.

Cooper raises his auto rifle, but he’s caught flat-footed. He can’t block it. The mass and velocity of the Vex frame will crush him.

LILI-4

Cooper!

Lili rips a canister from her belt and hurls it like a fastball.

DUSKFIELD GRENADE.

The dome of absolute zero expands directly in the Wyvern’s flight path.

The Vex frame hits the Stasis field mid-air.

KRRR-SNAP.

The Wyvern is instantly caught in the freezing vortex. Its violent dive is halted, slowed to an agonizing, grinding crawl just ten feet above Cooper’s head. Its Void energy sputters against the suffocating cold.

Cooper looks up at the suspended, frozen nightmare. He realizes exactly what Lili just did. It wasn't reckless. It was tactical. She just handed him the perfect pitch.

Over the season, they have learned how their contrasting styles fit together perfectly.

Cooper drops his rifle. He reaches for the Light.

RHYS COOPER

(Roaring)

BURNING MAUL!

He summons a blazing, two-handed Solar Maul.

He leaps up to meet the frozen Wyvern, swinging the hammer like a baseball bat.

CRASH.

Thermal shock meets kinetic fury. The hammer connects with the Stasis-locked Wyvern.

The explosion is magnificent—a blinding, localized supernova of orange Light and dark blue ice shards.

The Wyvern vaporizes.

Cooper lands heavily in the snow, his hammer fizzling out.

The courtyard falls dead silent, save for the howling wind. The remaining enemies have been obliterated by the blast radius.

Cooper stands up slowly. He breathes heavily, his breath pluming in the freezing air. He looks down at the ground.

Jagged shards of dark blue ice are rapidly melting into the snow, mixed with the scorched metal of the Vex.

He looks at Lili. The Stasis didn't corrupt her aim. It saved his life.

NAXI VAL glides down from a ruined pillar, her Void robes undisturbed. She looks at the crater of mixed elements with deep, scholarly fascination.

NAXI VAL

Fascinating.

She looks between the Titan and the Hunter.

NAXI VAL

The Light provides the force. The Dark provides the geometry.

Cooper looks at his hands, then up at Lili. The tension is broken, replaced by a begrudging, terrifying realization that the rules of war have just changed permanently.

FADE OUT.

SCENE CONTINUES.

EXT. EUROPA - EVENTIDE RUINS - DAY

The blizzard redoubles its fury, a punishing wall of white that threatens to bury them all.

ELSIE BRAY The storm is peaking. We need cover, now. Follow me.

Elsie turns and leads the battered Fireteam toward a sheer ice wall. She brushes away a thick layer of snow, revealing a heavy, rusted access hatch.

INT. HIDDEN MAINTENANCE SUBLEVEL - CONTINUOUS

The hatch seals behind them. The howling wind is immediately muffled. It’s dark, illuminated only by the faint emergency lighting and the glow of a solitary terminal at the far end of the room.

It is freezing, but it is survivable.

RHYS COOPER reaches up and disengages the seals on his heavy Titan helmet.

HISS. He pulls it off. His face is weathered, exhausted, and absolutely furious.

RHYS COOPER

(Voice echoing in the small space)

You don't get to just run off! We are a team!

LILI-4 doesn't take her helmet off, but she rounds on him, the Stasis frost on her armor crackling with her rising temper.

LILI-4

I’m dangerous, Rhys! I found out where I came from. I wasn't a hero. I was a criminal! A hired gun! I'm broken at the foundation!

While they argue, NAXI VAL glides toward the far end of the room. The Warlock is unfazed by the shouting. She hovers in front of the flickering terminal, her Void robes drifting in the stale air.

NAXI VAL

Curious.

Cooper and Lili stop yelling. They look over.

NAXI VAL

This isn't a Bray terminal. The architecture is wrong. It’s an Ishtar Collective uplink node. Someone was spying on the facility from the inside.

Val raises a hand. Her Ghost, SKULD, materializes and interfaces with the old tech. Lines of Golden Age code reflect in Val's solid black eyes.

NAXI VAL

It’s a listening post. Skuld, decrypt the outgoing cache.

The terminal beeps. A file name flashes on the dusty screen in harsh green text.

ASSET: CRAWFORD / HANDLER: COOPER

Lili freezes. Cooper’s breath hitches.

NAXI VAL

This terminal was encrypting outgoing data to Venus. It’s a mission authorization log for 'Operation Alkahest.'

Val taps the console.

NAXI VAL

Decrypting the audio attachment.

STATIC. Then, a voice plays over the room's rusted speakers. It is undeniably Cooper’s voice—but lighter, sharper, carrying the stress of a Golden Age intelligence officer rather than the gravel of a resurrected Titan.

PAST-COOPER (V.O.)

Authorization code Ishtar-9. I'm putting Crawford on the transport to Europa now. She’s the only freelancer crazy enough to steal the Exo data from Clovis.

Lili stares at the speaker. Cooper stands completely paralyzed, his helmet hanging loosely from his grip.

On the recording, there is a heavy sigh. The professional, crisp tone drops entirely, replaced by something soft, exhausted, and deeply intimate.

PAST-COOPER (V.O.)

Lilith, if you get this... just get the data and get out. Don't try to be a hero. And leave the window unlocked when you get back to Venus. I’m tired of having to hack my own security grid to let myself in.

CLICK.

The recording ends.

The room is dead silent. The only sound is the faint, muffled howl of the blizzard outside.

Lili stares at the dark screen.

LILI-4

(Barely a whisper)

The window?

Cooper looks sick. The blood has completely drained from his face. He stares at the terminal as if it were a Nightmare phantom.

RHYS COOPER

I... I was Head of Security?

Val turns from the console, looking between the two of them with clinical fascination.

NAXI VAL

And apparently, her lover. The statistical probability of you two finding each other again across centuries and a planetary collapse is... romantic, but astronomically low.

Elsie Bray leans against the rusted bulkhead, crossing her arms.

ELSIE BRAY

(Dryly)

Well. That explains the sexual tension.

The dark humor doesn't register with Cooper. He drops his helmet. It clatters loudly on the metal floor grate.

He looks at Lili. His eyes are wide, filled with a sudden, crushing weight that no Titan armor could ever support.

RHYS COOPER

(Voice breaking)

I signed the order. I sent you here.

He takes a shaky step backward.

RHYS COOPER

I sent you to him.

Lili looks at the massive, pragmatic Titan.

The anger that had been burning inside her—the Stasis-fueled rage at her own creation—vanishes instantly.

She looks at Rhys Cooper and suddenly understands everything. The overbearing rules, the constant need to control the Fireteam, the desperate, furious attempt to pull her back from the edge.

The "cop" act wasn't just Vanguard doctrine. It was muscle memory. It was the echo of a man who spent his previous life trying to keep her safe... and failed.

FADE OUT.

SCENE CONTINUES.

INT. HIDDEN MAINTENANCE SUBLEVEL - CONTINUOUS

The silence stretches, thick and suffocating. The howling wind outside feels miles away.

The anger that had been simmering between the Fireteam is entirely gone, replaced by a heavy, awkward confusion. The Vanguard protocol they were fighting over suddenly feels utterly irrelevant.

Cooper takes a slow, heavy step toward Lili. The imposing Titan looks entirely broken. He looks at her metal hands, realizing he is the reason she is an Exo. The guilt physically washes over him, causing his broad shoulders to slump.

RHYS COOPER

(Voice raw)

I didn't know. If I sent you here... knowing what Clovis was doing...

Lili looks at him. She doesn't see the Vanguard loyalist anymore. She sees the ghost of someone who tried to save her. The Stasis frost on her armor dims.

LILI-4

(Softly)

You didn't know. You were just doing your job. Like me.

Cooper stares at the floor grate, unable to meet her glowing blue optics. He takes a deep, shaking breath, his Titan resolve slowly hardening into something much darker and more personal.

RHYS COOPER

We finish this. We go into that Crypt, and we destroy whatever hurt you.

He finally looks up, meeting her gaze.

RHYS COOPER

I owe you that.

Lili holds his gaze for a long moment. The tension in the room is unbearable. Then, the corner of her metal jaw shifts into the fainth ghost of a smirk.

LILI-4

Yeah. You owe me a drink, too. According to the log.

Cooper exhales a short, breathless laugh. The tension fractures just enough for them to breathe.

In the corner, ELSIE BRAY pushes off the bulkhead. She stands up, racking the bolt on her pulse rifle with a sharp clack. She is pragmatic, focused, and completely immune to the sentimentality.

ELSIE BRAY

Touching reunion.

She walks toward the heavy access hatch, her cloak swirling behind her.

ELSIE BRAY

But Eramis is moving on the Crypt. If we don't stop her, she won't just steal a body. She'll steal the Traveler.

Lili turns, her hand dropping instinctively to The Last Word on her hip. Cooper picks his helmet up off the floor, the devastation in his eyes replaced by a grim, unified focus.

The Fireteam is back together. And they are going to war.

FADE TO BLACK.

(END OF EPISODE 4)

NEXT TIME ON DESTINY: NEW LEGACY...

The doors to the Deep Stone Crypt open, plunging the Fireteam into the pristine, deadly silence of the Golden Age. What begins as a surgical strike against House Salvation quickly spirals into absolute chaos, trapping them in a falling nightmare with no easy way out.

Dragon Ball: Divergence | S1E4: "Rite of the Blood Throne" (AU Story)

[Master Guide] [<- Previous Episode]

Watched by thousands of bloodthirsty elites expecting a quick massacre, Ruco must use his newly acquired martial arts discipline to prove that the era of the mindless brawler is officially over.

TITLE: DRAGON BALL: DIVERGENCE

EPISODE: 04 - "RITE OF THE BLOOD THRONE"

[SCENE START]

EXT. ROYAL COURTYARD - DAY

The midday sun beats down on the sprawling, stone courtyard of the Royal Palace. The arena is massive, designed for the destructive scale of Saiyan combat.

Surrounding the sunken courtyard are towering, amphitheater-style stands. They are packed to the brim. THOUSANDS OF SAIYANS—elites in pristine armor, mid-class warriors, and low-class laborers—crowd the balconies, buzzing with anticipation. The noise is deafening.

In the center of the arena stand two figures.

KING VEGETA stands tall, his imposing frame radiating absolute authority. He unclips the heavy clasp of his royal cape and tosses it over his shoulder without looking.

NAPPA catches the cape, stepping back toward the edge of the arena with the other elite guards. Nappa crosses his arms, a cruel smirk on his face, expecting a massacre.

King Vegeta drops into his iconic fighting stance—knees bent, one hand extended forward, the other pulled back, ready to strike. A dark red, jagged aura flares to life around him, kicking up dust and loose stones.

Opposite him stands RUCO. He wears his standard combat armor, but his stance is completely alien to the watching Saiyans.

Instead of a wide, aggressive brawler's stance, Ruco stands relaxed. His feet are shoulder-width apart, his knees slightly bent, his hands open and raised in a fluid, defensive guard—a stance heavily influenced by Namekian martial arts.

No aura surrounds Ruco. His power level remains completely suppressed. To the thousands of scouters in the crowd, he reads as a measly 5,000.

Nappa steps up to the stone railing of the royal balcony, his booming voice echoing across the courtyard.

NAPPA

(Shouting)

Hear me, warriors of Planet Vegeta! Today, we witness the Rite of the Blood Throne! The challenger, Ruco, has invoked the ancient law to claim the crown!

The crowd erupts into a chorus of boos, jeers, and cruel laughter directed at Ruco.

NAPPA (CONT'D)

The rules of the old ways are absolute! There is no time limit! There is no surrender! The victor is decided only by incapacitation... or death!

Nappa raises his arm high into the air. The courtyard falls into a tense, breathless silence. King Vegeta's red aura pulses violently.

NAPPA (CONT'D)

Begin!

Nappa drops his arm.

BOOM!

The stone beneath King Vegeta’s boots shatters instantly. He crosses the massive courtyard in a fraction of a second, moving faster than most of the low-class Saiyans can even track.

He appears directly in front of Ruco, his fist pulled back, crackling with red Ki. He throws a devastating, lethal straight punch aimed dead center at Ruco’s face, intending to end the challenge in a single strike.

Ruco doesn't flinch.

At the very last possible microsecond, Ruco subtly shifts his weight. He tilts his head mere inches to the right.

King Vegeta’s fist misses, the shockwave of the punch blasting a massive crater into the arena wall a hundred feet behind Ruco.

King Vegeta’s eyes widen in shock.

Before the King can recoil, Ruco brings his open palm up, gently but firmly redirecting Vegeta’s extended arm outward, throwing the King entirely off balance.

With a fluid, effortless motion, Ruco steps inside King Vegeta’s guard and delivers a swift, precise palm strike directly to the King's solar plexus.

It isn't a blast of raw power. It is pure, concentrated Ki control.

THWACK.

The air leaves King Vegeta’s lungs in a violent rush. His eyes bulge, his red aura flickering and dying out instantly. He stumbles backward, gasping for breath, clutching his chest.

The entire courtyard—thousands of bloodthirsty Saiyans—goes dead silent.

Nappa drops his arms, his jaw practically hitting the floor. Every scouter in the arena just spiked, trying to read what happened, but Ruco’s power level immediately dropped back down to 5,000 before the machines could even register the spike.

Ruco lowers his hands, returning to his relaxed, standing position. He looks at the gasping King.

RUCO

(Calmly)

I told you, King Vegeta. The era of the brawler is over.

EXT. ROYAL COURTYARD - CONTINUOUS

King Vegeta forces himself to stand straight, fighting through the agonizing pain in his chest. His pride is bleeding out faster than he can process. He glares at Ruco, his face contorted in a mask of pure, humiliated rage.

KING VEGETA

(Spitting blood)

A lucky trick. A coward's parlor trick! You think dancing around makes you a King?!

The King’s dark red aura explodes back to life, larger and more chaotic than before. He thrusts his right arm upward, his palm open. A massive sphere of crackling, deep purple Ki rapidly expands above his hand, generating a localized windstorm that forces the spectators in the lower stands to shield their eyes.

NAPPA

(Shouting over the wind)

My King, wait! If you fire that here, you’ll destroy the arena!

King Vegeta ignores him. He is completely blinded by his own bruised ego.

KING VEGETA

(Screaming)

Die with your pathetic philosophy, Ruco! ORGA BLASTER!

King Vegeta thrusts his hand forward. The massive, purple energy wave tears across the courtyard, ripping the stone floor to shreds. It is a concentrated beam of pure, lethal intent, carrying all 15,000 of the King's power level.

The crowd gasps. There is no way a mid-class warrior survives a direct hit from the Orga Blaster.

Ruco doesn't move. He watches the beam careen toward him.

Then, he finally lets go.

FWOOSH.

A blinding, pure white aura erupts from Ruco’s body. The sheer concussive force of his true power level being unleashed shatters the scouters of nearly every elite in the front row.

SCIENTIST IN THE CROWD

(Staring at a larger, handheld scanner)

Impossible! Thirty thousand... thirty-five thousand! It’s still climbing!

Ruco raises his right hand, his palm flat. He doesn't brace himself. He doesn't yell.

The Orga Blaster strikes his hand.

CRACK!

Instead of a massive explosion, Ruco simply swats his hand to the side, like he is brushing away an annoying insect. The massive purple beam is effortlessly deflected, shooting up into the red sky where it detonates harmlessly among the clouds.

King Vegeta freezes. His arm is still extended, his face locked in absolute, uncomprehending shock. The King of all Saiyans has just been entirely outclassed by a warrior he deemed a mid-class weakling.

KING VEGETA

(Voice trembling)

What... what are you?

Ruco’s white aura flares. He vanishes.

Not a burst of speed. Complete, imperceptible movement.

Before King Vegeta can even blink, Ruco reappears point-blank, standing directly inside the King's guard. Ruco’s hand is already pressed flat against King Vegeta’s armored chest.

A sphere of concentrated white Ki glows between Ruco's palm and the King's armor.

RUCO

I am the future.

BOOM!

Ruco fires. The blast is precise, localized, and devastating. It doesn't vaporize the King, but the kinetic force lifts King Vegeta entirely off his feet and launches him backward like a cannonball.

King Vegeta slams into the far wall of the arena with a sickening crunch. The stone craters around him.

He slumps forward, his eyes rolling back into his head. He hits the ground, completely unconscious.

The dust settles. The courtyard is dead quiet, save for the whistling wind. The King is defeated. He isn't dead, but he has been utterly broken in front of his entire race.

Ruco stands in the center of the ruined arena, his white aura slowly fading back into his body. He turns his head and looks up at the royal balcony, locking eyes with a stunned, terrified Nappa.

The Rite of the Blood Throne is over.

[FADE TO BLACK]

[END OF EPISODE 4]

Next time on DRAGON BALL: DIVERGENCE...

With the crown secured, King Ruco begins the monumental task of completely rebuilding Saiyan society. Realizing that brute strength won't save them from Frieza's inevitable retaliation, Ruco recruits an unlikely ally—a gentle meatpacker named Gine—to serve as his Royal Steward and the foundation for their new peaceful era.

Dragon Ball: Divergence | S1E3: "The Return" (AU Story)

[Master Guide] [<- Previous Episode] [Next Episode ->]

Armed with his newly unlocked power and the knowledge of the Super Saiyan God, Ruco returns to the harsh, red skies of Planet Vegeta. However, he is instantly surrounded by elite guards, arrested for treason, and dragged before the ruthless King Vegeta to face execution.

TITLE: DRAGON BALL: DIVERGENCE

EPISODE: 03 - "THE RETURN"

[SCENE START]

EXT. NAMEKIAN LANDSCAPE - DAY

The green Namekian suns cast long shadows over the blue grass. Ruco’s space pod sits exactly where he left it, completely undisturbed.

Ruco walks up to the pod, his posture noticeably different than when he arrived. He walks with a calm, grounded certainty. The heavy, oppressive weight of his Saiyan armor seems trivial now compared to the immense, controlled white Ki resting beneath the surface of his skin.

Nail walks a few paces behind him. His arms are crossed, his sharp eyes watching Ruco’s every movement. The intense hostility Nail harbored earlier has faded, replaced by a cautious, calculating respect.

Ruco reaches the pod and presses the release latch. The heavy door hisses and begins to slowly descend.

He turns to face Nail.

RUCO

Thank your Grand Elder for me, Nail. He gave me more than just power today. He gave me a future.

Nail’s expression remains stoic, but the rigid set of his shoulders softens slightly.

NAIL

Power is easily granted, Saiyan. What you choose to do with it is the true test. The universe has suffered under the Frieza Force for generations. Many have claimed they would end it. All have died trying.

Ruco nods, his eyes hardening with absolute resolve. He places his fist over his heart.

RUCO

I know the odds. But my people are the blade Frieza uses to bleed the galaxy. I am going to shatter that blade and forge it into a shield. I promise you, Nail... and I promise the Namekian people... I will purge Frieza and the Cold family’s evil from this universe.

Nail stares at Ruco. For the first time, a faint, imperceptible smirk touches the corner of the Namekian warrior's mouth. He drops his arms to his sides.

NAIL

If your spirit is as unyielding as your new power, Ruco... then perhaps the tyrant’s days are finally numbered.

Nail gives a small, respectful nod.

NAIL (CONT'D)

Godspeed.

Ruco returns the nod. He turns and climbs into the cramped confines of his Frieza Force pod.

INT. RUCO'S SPACE POD - CONTINUOUS

Ruco settles into the pilot's seat. He powers up the console. The holographic display flickers to life, casting its pale blue light across his determined face.

He punches in the coordinates for Planet Vegeta.

COMPUTER VOICE

Coordinates locked. Destination: Planet Vegeta. Warning: Unauthorized deviation penalty remains active upon arrival.

Ruco ignores the warning. He grips the flight controls.

EXT. NAMEKIAN LANDSCAPE - CONTINUOUS

Instead of the usual explosive, destructive takeoff that scorches the earth, the pod’s thrusters ignite with a precise, controlled hum. Ruco’s masterful new Ki control extends even to how he pilots the ship.

The pod lifts gently off the blue grass, hovering for a split second.

FWOOSH.

It rockets straight up into the emerald sky, leaving no crater behind.

Nail stands alone on the plains, his scarf whipping in the wind left in the pod's wake. He watches the streak of white light pierce the clouds and disappear into the upper atmosphere, gazing up at the sky long after the Saiyan is gone.

EXT. DEEP SPACE - CONTINUOUS

Ruco’s pod breaches Namek's atmosphere and plunges back into the infinite, starry void. The ship banks sharply, aligning itself with a distant, red-tinted star system.

He is going home. And a revolution is coming with him.

[SCENE END]

TITLE CARD: ONE MONTH LATER

EXT. PLANET VEGETA - DAY

The sky of Planet Vegeta is a bruised, turbulent red. The landscape is harsh, dominated by jagged canyons, brutalist architecture, and sprawling military complexes.

Ruco’s space pod streaks through the red clouds, descending rapidly toward the central capital.

EXT. ROYAL LANDING PAD - CONTINUOUS

The pod touches down on a massive, scorched metal landing pad just outside the royal palace.

Before the retro-thrusters even fully power down, the pad is swarmed.

DOZENS OF ELITE SAIYAN GUARDS, clad in high-ranking Frieza Force armor, surround the pod. They have their arm-cannons and Ki blasts charged and aimed directly at the door. Their scouters beep frantically, scanning the ship.

The pod’s door hisses open.

Ruco steps out. He looks at the army of weapons pointed at his face. He doesn't flinch. He doesn't even power up. He simply steps down from the pod and holds his hands out to his sides, offering no resistance.

ELITE CAPTAIN

(Barking)

Ruco! You are under arrest for desertion, unauthorized deviation, and treason against the crown! Bind him!

Two guards rush forward, violently shoving Ruco to his knees and snapping heavy, magnetic restraints onto his wrists. Ruco lets them.

INT. KING VEGETA’S THRONE ROOM - LATER

The throne room is massive, dark, and intimidating. Banners of the Saiyan royal crest hang alongside the emblem of the Frieza Force—a constant, humiliating reminder of their servitude.

The room is lined with the highest-ranking Saiyan elites. Among them stands NAPPA, younger and with a full head of hair, looking down at Ruco with a sneer.

At the far end of the hall sits KING VEGETA. He is draped in his royal cape, his sharp beard and widow's peak framing a face twisted in perpetual arrogance. His power level of 15,000 radiates off him like a suffocating heat.

The heavy doors open. The guards drag Ruco in and force him to his knees at the base of the throne's steps.

King Vegeta rests his chin on his fist, looking down at Ruco like a bug on the bottom of his boot.

KING VEGETA

Well, well. The stray dog finally comes crawling back.

The elites in the room chuckle.

KING VEGETA (CONT'D)

Okara and Tato reported your little mental breakdown on the purge. Tell me, Ruco... did the blood of those weaklings frighten you? Did you run away to hide in the stars because you forgot what it means to be a Saiyan?

Ruco looks up. His eyes are clear, completely devoid of the fear the King expects to see.

RUCO

I didn't forget what it means, King Vegeta. I realized what it has turned us into. We are slaves playing at being conquerors.

The room instantly falls dead silent. The elites bristle, their hands instinctively dropping to their sides. Nappa takes an aggressive step forward, but King Vegeta raises a hand, his eyes narrowing dangerously.

KING VEGETA

(Voice dropping to a lethal whisper)

You speak of slavery while wearing my armor, in my hall. You are a mid-class weakling with a combat level of five thousand. I should execute you right here to spare our gene pool your cowardice.

King Vegeta stands up. His dark red aura flares to life, cracking the stone beneath his boots. The sheer pressure makes the guards step back.

KING VEGETA (CONT'D)

I strip you of your rank. I strip you of your Saiyan bloodright. You will be taken to the wasteland execution grounds and vaporized.

Ruco doesn't look away from the King's burning aura. He speaks loud enough for every elite in the room to hear.

RUCO

I invoke the Rite of the Blood Throne.

The silence shatters. Whispers break out among the guards. Nappa barks out a loud, genuine laugh. King Vegeta’s aura flickers, his face twisting from rage into sheer, baffled amusement.

KING VEGETA

You? Challenge me? A trial by combat for the crown?

RUCO

It is the oldest law of our people. A law predating the Frieza Force. If a warrior finds the King unfit to lead, they may challenge him for the throne. If I lose, you take my life. But if I win... I become King. And my first decree will be your exile.

King Vegeta steps down from the throne, walking slowly down the stairs until he is standing just inches from the kneeling Ruco. He taps his scouter. It reads Ruco’s suppressed power level: a measly 5,000.

King Vegeta smirks, a vicious, bloodthirsty grin spreading across his face.

KING VEGETA

You are a fool, Ruco. But you have given me a wonderful gift. I haven't had the pleasure of personally crushing a traitor's skull in years.

King Vegeta turns his back on Ruco, throwing his cape over his shoulder, addressing the room.

KING VEGETA (CONT'D)

Unbind him! Let the coward stand! We will hold the trial in the royal courtyard at midday. Let the entire capital watch what happens to those who question my rule!

The guards unlock the magnetic restraints on Ruco's wrists. The heavy metal clatters to the stone floor.

Ruco stands up slowly, rubbing his wrists. He looks at King Vegeta's back, his expression entirely calm. The King has no idea what he has just agreed to.

[SCENE END]

[END OF EPISODE 3]

Next time on DRAGON BALL: DIVERGENCE...

The entire capital gathers in the Royal Courtyard to witness the ultimate showdown! Confident in his overwhelming strength, King Vegeta expects to massacre Ruco and publicly make an example of the traitor. But the King is completely unaware of the staggering Namekian power Ruco is hiding just beneath the surface. Will he break the tyrant King, or will his revolution die in the dirt?

Destiny: New Legacy | S3E3: "The Logbook" (AU Story)

[Master Guide] [<- Previous Episode]

What begins as a search for answers quickly spirals into a violent rampage as Lili discovers she wasn't forged to be a hero, but a weapon. With her reality shattered, she partners with the Exo Stranger to enact a brutal revenge against the ghost of Clovis Bray.

EPISODE: 03 - "THE LOGBOOK"

SCENE START

EXT. EUROPA - BRAY EXOSCIENCE - DAY

The blizzard rages across the icy plains of Europa. A massive, angular structure juts out of the glacier, untouched by the centuries of storms.

Lili-4 stands before the heavy, frosted airlock. She is completely alone, having gone AWOL to answer the Exo recall signal.

She wedges her hands into the frozen seam of the door. Her servos whine.

GRIND.

She forces the airlock open.

INT. BRAY EXOSCIENCE - LOBBY - CONTINUOUS

Lili steps inside. The heavy doors slide shut behind her, sealing perfectly.

The howling wind cuts off instantly.

Absolute, suffocating silence.

Lili brushes the frost from her visor. The facility is pristine. White walls, seamless glass, and sterile lighting. It looks like a high-end tech showroom designed by a sociopath.

The floor is littered with the shattered, chassis-frozen remains of dead Vex frames, their radiolarian fluid pooled and crystallized on the immaculate white tiles.

Lili walks cautiously past a sleek, curved reception desk.

BEEP.

A dusty monitor flickers to life as her shadow crosses its sensors.

AUTOMATED VOICE

(Cheerful, synthetic)

Welcome, Subject Crawford. You are... four hundred and fifty years late for your shift. Docking pay.

Lili freezes mid-step. Her hand hovers over The Last Word.

LILI-4

Crawford? Who is Crawford?

Sagira materializes, her blue optic scanning the sterile room. She looks nervous, the isolation of the frozen moon weighing on her.

SAGIRA

Lili, don't listen to it. It’s a glitch in the system.

Lili stares at the blank monitor for a long moment, the quiet hum of the facility echoing the newly quieted "static" in her own head.

She moves deeper into the complex.

INT. BRAY EXOSCIENCE - ATRIUM - MOMENTS LATER

The facility feels like a tomb. It’s a monument to an arrogant past, exploring the theme of identity that the Crypt represents.

At the far end of the atrium, a security terminal flashes. A pulsing blue light.

It is reacting to her specific bio-signature.

Lili approaches it.

LILI-4

Hack it.

Sagira floats over, her shell expanding as she interfaces with the Golden Age tech.

SAGIRA

Decoding... The encryption is old, but it’s thick. Give me a second... Got it. It’s an archival file.

The terminal projects a high-definition hologram into the center of the room.

THE HOLOGRAM:

It’s a recording from the Golden Age.

Standing in a pristine lab is CLOVIS BRAY I. Even as a recording of his living self, he radiates the arrogant, sociopathic energy of the man who created the Exos. He is older, sharp-featured, and impeccably dressed.

He stands over a woman tied to a steel chair.

The woman is human. She is bloodied, bruised, and glaring daggers.

But as Lili watches, a chill runs down her synthetic spine. The woman tilts her head in a very specific, defiant angle. She clenches her right fist, popping the knuckles.

They are Lili’s mannerisms.

This is her. LILITH CRAWFORD.

HOLO-CLOVIS

Corporate espionage is a capital offense, Ms. Crawford. Ishtar Collective sent you?

Lilith spits blood onto the pristine white floor.

HOLO-LILITH

Go to hell, Bray. I did a job. Your security is just better than I thought.

Clovis paces around her chair, observing her like a rat in a maze. He treats her with the same cold detachment his AI echo will later use to treat Lili like property.

HOLO-CLOVIS

You have a singular talent for violence. A 'Fixer,' they call you?

Clovis leans in, his eyes cold.

HOLO-CLOVIS

I have a use for that. I need soldiers who don't ask ethical questions.

Lilith stares him dead in the eye, gathers the saliva in her mouth, and spits directly into Clovis's face.

The hologram flickers and ends.

BACK TO SCENE:

The blue light of the terminal fades, plunging the room back into sterile white silence.

Lili stands completely still. Her fists are clenched exactly the way Lilith’s were. The revelation hits her like a physical blow.

LILI-4

(Voice hollow) I wasn't a hero. I was a criminal.

Sagira floats down to her eye level, her voice soft, trying to be the conscience Lili desperately needs.

SAGIRA

You were surviving, Lili. Just like now.

Lili looks down at her mechanical hands, grappling with the horrifying truth of her human life and the debt that turned her into a weapon.

FADE OUT.

SCENE CONTINUES.

INT. BRAY EXOSCIENCE - CREATION LABS - LATER

Lili-4 follows the flickering terminal lights deeper into the facility. She enters a massive, cavernous sector.

CREATION. This is where the bodies were made. She is an Exo who woke up with no memory of the Deep Stone Crypt, but the walls here remember for her.

She walks past rows of medical bays and glass-walled cells. Inside are the failed experiments. Exos torn apart by their own minds—the physical devastation of DER (Dissociative Exomind Rejection). The pristine white walls inside the cells are covered in frantic, bloody scratches and mathematical scribbles.

Lili stops. She grips the doorframe of a cell.

POV - LILI-4

SYSTEM ALERT: NEURAL OVERLOAD.

VISUAL ARTIFACTS: CRITICAL.

Her vision severely distorts. The visual artifacts and Vex code overlays that usually accompany her high stress spike violently. The "Static" returns. But it’s not just the meaningless noise she is used to—it’s memory.

She gasps, dropping to one knee. She feels a sudden, searing phantom pain in human limbs she no longer has.

She forces herself up and stumbles into the central cryo-bay.

In the center of the room sits an isolated cryo-pod, coated in centuries of frost.

Lili wipes the ice from the display panel.

L. CRAWFORD - STATUS: TERMINATED.

With a trembling mechanical finger, she presses the flashing yellow playback button on the pod's interface.

AUDIO LOG:

The pristine silence of the room is shattered by the horrific, grinding sound of a bone saw.

LILI-3 (V.O.)

(Screaming, voice tearing)

You promised me a reset! You said I'd forget! Why can I still feel it?!

CLOVIS BRAY (V.O.)

(Clinical, unimpressed)

The human mind clings to trauma. Wipe it again. Initialize Reboot 4.

The audio cuts out with a wet crunch.

Lili falls to her knees, clutching the sides of her helmet. The Stasis had been acting as a sedative, making her calm and cold, but the raw horror of this truth shatters the ice in her mind.

Her "resets" weren't system upgrades. They were violent erasures to keep her compliant. She wasn't born in this facility. She was murdered here.

INT. BRAY EXOSCIENCE - THE MAIN CHAMBER - CONTINUOUS

Lili kicks the double doors open, stumbling into a massive, cavernous vault.

Looming in the dark at the far end of the room is a colossal, mechanical structure. THE GIANT EXO HEAD.

Suddenly, the massive optics of the giant head ignite with a piercing orange light.

CLOVIS AI

(Voice booming, vibrating the floor)

Subject Crawford. You have returned.

It is the arrogant, sociopathic digital echo of the man who created the Exos. The Voice in the Walls.

CLOVIS AI

I assume you are ready to resume your duties?

He speaks to her not as a person, but as a grandfather addressing a piece of misbehaving property.

Lili’s shaking stops. The horror crystallizes into pure, burning fury. She reaches to her hip, her hand wrapping around the familiar grip of her weapon. She always keeps THE LAST WORD on her hip.

She draws the hand cannon, aiming it up at the giant orange eyes.

LILI-4

I'm not your subject. I'm a Guardian.

CLOVIS AI

(A synthesized, condescending scoff)

A Guardian? A poignant title for a walking corpse. I built you to kill Vex. The 'Light' is just a bug in your software.

CLANK. KACHUNK.

Recessed doors along the walls slide open. Heavily armored SECURITY FRAMES march into the room. Their red targeting lasers paint Lili’s chest.

CLOVIS AI

Let us see if the new firmware holds up. Submit.

Lili doesn't use the Light. She reaches for the Darkness.

But she doesn't use it with the cold, efficient control Elsie Bray taught her. She unleashes it with raw, unhinged rage.

Dark blue Stasis crystals erupt from the floor, violent and jagged. She freezes the charging frames mid-stride.

She lunges forward. This is her signature move—freezing enemies with Stasis, then executing them with the kinetic force of The Last Word. But it isn't precise. It’s messy. It’s personal.

She fans the hammer, point-blank.

BANG-CRASH. She shatters a frozen frame, the recoil jerking her arm back. She spins, driving her Stasis-coated fist completely through another frame's chest chassis, ripping its core out before blowing its head off with the hand cannon.

Ice and shrapnel fly across the immaculate room as Lili-4 tears her creator's toys apart.

FADE OUT.

SCENE CONTINUES.

EXT. EUROPA - BRAY EXOSCIENCE - DAY

CRASH.

The heavy airlock doors are blown off their tracks by a localized Stasis detonation.

Lili-4 bursts out of the facility and into the howling blizzard. She stumbles into the deep snow, dropping to her hands and knees.

She is shaking violently—not from the -200 degree cold, but from pure, unadulterated adrenaline and rage.

Sagira materializes instantly, hovering close to her Guardian’s helmet.

SAGIRA

(Softly, terrified)

Lili... are you okay?

Lili slowly pushes herself up. She doesn't look at Sagira. She looks back at the pristine, sterile white walls of the facility looming in the storm.

LILI-4

He didn't save me. He enslaved me. And he's still in there.

She looks down at her mechanical hand. Dark blue Stasis frost aggressively creeps up her knuckles, reacting to her volatile emotional state.

LILI-4

I'm going to burn that place to the ground.

She clenches her fist, shattering the ice.

LILI-4

But first... I need my team.

Footsteps crunch in the snow behind her. Slow. Deliberate.

ELSIE BRAY steps out of the whiteout conditions. She holds her pulse rifle loosely, the wind whipping her cloak.

ELSIE BRAY

You are letting the anger thaw your control, Hunter.

Lili spins around. Her optics lock onto Elsie.

Before today, Elsie was just a stranger who knew too much. But now, Lili knows the history. She knows the name that built this frozen hell. She looks at the faint Golden Age insignias on Elsie's gear.

LILI-4

(Voice trembling with fury)

Bray.

Lili stalks toward her, the snow crunching under her heavy boots.

LILI-4

Did you know? Did you know he was kidnapping people to build his army? Or were you too busy sitting in your ivory tower while he butchered us in the basement?

Elsie doesn't flinch. She meets Lili’s burning orange gaze with her own cold blue optics.

ELSIE BRAY

(Voice hard as diamond)

Ivory tower?

Elsie steps forward, closing the distance. She is taller, imposing, and she refuses to let Lili claim a monopoly on suffering.

ELSIE BRAY

My grandfather didn't just experiment on strangers, Lili. He experimented on his own blood.

Lili stops, her hand hovering over The Last Word.

ELSIE BRAY

I was dying. A genetic disease that was tearing my human body apart. He promised me a cure. Instead, he made me his prototype.

Elsie looks at her own mechanical hands—the bespoke, perfect chassis that Clovis designed specifically for his family. Because Elsie is the only one who truly understands the Exo physiology, she knows exactly what it costs.

ELSIE BRAY

I am the original sin. I have to carry the burden of being his "perfect" machine, while I watched him mass-produce my survival into your curse.

The wind howls around them. The anger in Lili’s chest falters, replaced by a cold, horrific realization.

They are both daughters of Clovis Bray. One by blood, one by force. Both were used as tools for his legacy.

Lili lowers her hand from her gun.

LILI-4

(Quietly)

He took everything from us.

ELSIE BRAY

And he continues to haunt this moon. Eramis is just a symptom. Clovis and his Crypt are the disease.

The dynamic shifts completely. The Teacher and the Student are gone. They are Co-Conspirators standing in the ruins of their shared trauma.

LILI-4

I want him dead. I want every server, every backup, every memory of him wiped from this system. But I can't breach the Crypt alone. I need Cooper and Val's firepower.

Elsie shakes her head slowly.

ELSIE BRAY

The Vanguard wants to contain the Darkness. They want to study the Crypt. If your friends are loyal to the City... they won't understand what we have to do. Erasure is not the Vanguard way.

Lili looks out into the storm. She knows Elsie is right. Rhys Cooper is a loyalist. He wouldn't sanction destroying Golden Age tech, and he certainly wouldn't approve of the Stasis they would need to do it.

LILI-4

(Cynical)

Then we don't tell them. We point them at Eramis, and we use the chaos to get inside.

Elsie nods. It is a dark pact.

ELSIE BRAY

We kill the past, Hunter. Whatever it takes.

Lili turns her back to the facility, walking into the blizzard to find the Fireteam she abandoned.

FADE TO BLACK.

(END OF EPISODE 3)

NEXT TIME ON DESTINY: NEW LEGACY...

The Vanguard's hunt for Lili-4 culminates in a bitter, freezing standoff in the Europan snow. But as a deadly ambush forces the fractured Fireteam underground to survive, a buried Golden Age secret comes to light—one that threatens to shatter the Wall completely.

The blizzard howls, a wall of white noise and biting frost.

A HOUSE SALVATION supply convoy trudges through the deep snow. Two Heavy Pikes flank a hover-skiff loaded with Stasis canisters.

High above, crouching on a jagged ice cliff, is LILI-4.

She is wrapped in her heavy Crystocrene thermal gear. Frost coats her visor.

She doesn't draw a gun. She reaches inward.

LILI-4

Quiet now.

She drops from the cliff.

Mid-fall, she summons the Darkness. Two KAMA BLADES of pure, jagged ice materialize in her hands.

SILENCE AND SQUALL.

She throws the first blade—SILENCE.

It strikes the center of the convoy.

KRRR-SNAP.

A flash-freeze dome expands instantly. The Pikes, the skiff, and the Fallen crew are locked in solid, dark blue ice.

She throws the second blade—SQUALL.

It hits the frozen skiff and shatters, creating a massive, roaming STASIS TORNADO. The violent vortex of ice shards rips through the frozen Fallen, grinding their armor to dust.

Lili plummets toward the ground.

She enters a steep dive.

SHATTERDIVE.

She slams into the frozen earth with the kinetic force of a meteor.

BOOM.

The shockwave shatters three frozen Dregs simultaneously. Ice and ether explode in a deadly mist.

Lili stands up slowly. The tornado dissipates. She dusts a few ice crystals off her shoulder.

SAGIRA materializes. Her shell is trembling, her optic scanning the brutal overkill.

SAGIRA

(Voice strained)

They were retreating, Lili. You didn't need the tornado.

Lili doesn't look back. Her voice is calm, sedated, and incredibly cold.

LILI-4

Faster this way. No noise.

EXT. BEYOND - THE ZIGGURAT - LATER

SWISH-THUD.

Lili hurls a WITHERING BLADE—a Stasis shuriken. It buries itself deep into a frozen monolith.

SWISH-THUD. SWISH-THUD.

She is spamming them. Throwing them with brute force, over and over, completely exhausting her dark energy reserves.

ELSIE BRAY watches from the steps of the Ziggurat, her arms crossed.

ELSIE BRAY You are using it like a hammer. It is a scalpel. You must control the urge to freeze everything.

Lili lowers her arm. She breathes out a cloud of white vapor.

LILI-4

It works. My head is clear. The static is gone.

Elsie walks past her, pulling a frozen shuriken from the ice.

ELSIE BRAY

Silence is not the same as peace, Hunter.

Sagira floats near Elsie’s shoulder, keeping a safe distance from Lili. She whispers, her voice tight with fear.

SAGIRA

She’s different. Her core temp is dropping. She doesn't make jokes anymore.

Elsie looks at Sagira, her glowing eyes reflecting the cruel reality of the dark.

ELSIE BRAY

The Stasis quiets the Exo mind. If she loses herself... you know what you have to do.

Sagira’s shell flanges flare in horror. She looks at Lili, terrified of the monster she might be becoming.

SAGIRA

...Don't ask me to kill my own Guardian.

INT. VARIKS'S HIDEOUT - THE DRIFTER'S CORNER - NIGHT

A dark, cramped corner of the communications relay.

THE DRIFTER stands over a small, portable induction stove, stirring a bubbling pot of thick, purple "Ether stew." The smell is atrocious.

Lili sits on a crate nearby. She is meticulously cleaning her new Stasis gauntlet, polishing the dark metal.

On the floor, lying forgotten in a puddle of melted, dirty snow, is THE LAST WORD.

Drifter takes a sip of his stew. He grimaces, then looks down.

He kicks the hand cannon with the toe of his boot. It clatters across the metal floor.

Lili snaps her head up, her eyes flashing blue.

LILI-4

Hey! Watch it!

THE DRIFTER

Watch it? You're letting a legend rust, Sunshine.

Lili bristles. The nickname grates against her newfound, icy demeanor.

LILI-4

Don't call me that.

Drifter chuckles, a low, scraping sound.

THE DRIFTER

Why not? You got a literal sun following you around—

He points a greasy spoon at Sagira, who glares at him.

THE DRIFTER

—yet you act like you were born in a basement. Oh, wait—you were.

He sets the bowl down. The humor drops from his face. The rogue gives way to the survivor.

THE DRIFTER

You know who held that iron before you? Shin Malphur. The Man with the Golden Gun.

Lili looks at the gun on the floor, then back to Drifter.

LILI-4

I thought you gave it to me.

THE DRIFTER

I did. I was holding it. For him.

Drifter leans against the wall, crossing his arms.

THE DRIFTER

See, Shin hunted a guy named Dredgen Yor. Yor started like you—a hero. He had a gun called 'Rose.' But he started touching the dark. Found it easier. Quieter.

Lili looks away. The word quieter hits too close to home.

THE DRIFTER

The Rose lost its petals, grew thorns. He became a monster.

Drifter pushes off the wall. He leans in close to Lili, his voice a low, dangerous gravel.

THE DRIFTER

Shin gave me that gun to find a successor. He wanted to know if a Guardian could touch the dark without turning into Yor. It was a test, Sunshine.

Drifter nods at the puddle.

THE DRIFTER

And right now? You're failing.

Lili’s jaw clenches. The Stasis in her blood flares, a defensive reaction.

LILI-4

I'm not a monster. I'm just efficient.

Drifter holds her gaze. He isn't intimidated by the ice.

THE DRIFTER

Then pick up the gun. Because if you drop it, the Man with the Golden Gun might just come for you next.

(Serious)

It’s the only thing tethering you.

Lili stares at him for a long, tense moment. Slowly, she reaches down into the puddle.

She picks up The Last Word. She wipes the dirty water off the barrel with her sleeve.

FADE OUT.

EXT. EUROPA - RATHMORE CHAOS - DAY

The blizzard obscures the massive Vex structures buried in the ice.

Lili-4 moves through the storm, an apex predator tracking her prey.

Ahead, standing amidst the frozen ruins, is PHYLAKS, THE WARRIOR. The massive Fallen Baroness wields a heavily modified Arc spear, but her armor crackles with the dark blue energy of Stasis.

Lili doesn't draw a weapon. She relies entirely on her new, cold power.

LILI-4

(Sedated, arrogant)

You're out of your depth, Warrior.

Lili throws a volley of WITHERING BLADES.

Phylaks deflects them with a massive gauntlet, the ice shattering harmlessly against her armor. Phylaks laughs—a booming, mechanical sound.

PHYLAKS

You play with the gift, little machine. I was forged in it!

Phylaks lunges. She slams her spear into the ground.

KRRR-SNAP.

A fissure of Stasis energy races across the ice, faster than Lili can react. It hits her boots.

ACTION BEAT:

The ice erupts upward, instantly encasing Lili’s legs up to her thighs in solid, jagged dark blue crystal.

Lili tries to move. She can't. The Stasis locks her servos completely.

POV - LILI-4

SYSTEM ALERT: MOBILITY ZERO.

CORE TEMP: CRITICAL DROP.

The cold begins to creep higher, creeping past her waist, threatening to freeze her core chassis.

Phylaks slowly walks forward, raising her spear for the killing blow.

Sagira materializes, hovering frantically around Lili’s head.

SAGIRA

Lili! Use the Light! Summon the Golden Gun! Burn it out!

Lili strains, panicking. The sedated calm of the Stasis is replaced by raw, claustrophobic terror. She reaches for the Solar fire, but the oppressive cold of the dark suppresses it. She is empty.

LILI-4

(Hyperventilating)

I can't... I can't feel it!

Phylaks looms over her, the spear tip glowing.

Lili looks down. Through the swirling snow, she sees the heavy steel and gold filigree resting in the holster on her hip.

THE LAST WORD.

FLASHBACK (AUDIO ONLY):

The Drifter's voice, low and dangerous: "It's the only thing tethering you."

Lili’s optic sensors flare.

Her hand drops to her hip.

DRAW.

She doesn't aim at Phylaks. She aims straight down at her own frozen legs.

She fans the hammer.

BANG-BANG-BANG.

The heavy, kinetic slugs of the legendary hand cannon tear into the Stasis crystal. The raw physical impact—untainted by paracausal energy—shatters the supernatural hold.

The ice explodes.

Lili stumbles forward, free.

Phylaks swings the spear, but Lili is already moving. She slides under the massive swing.

As she passes underneath, Lili pulls a canister from her belt and spikes it at Phylaks's feet.

DUSKFIELD GRENADE.

A dome of absolute zero expands instantly. Phylaks is caught in the center. The Fallen Warrior snarls as the localized blizzard rapidly freezes her joints, locking her in a prison of her own element.

Lili spins to her feet, bringing The Last Word up. This is "The Shatter"—a brutal combination of ice and iron.

She fans the hammer one last time.

BANG-BANG-BANG-BANG.

The heavy rounds strike the frozen Baroness center mass.

CRASH.

Phylaks shatters into a thousand pieces of frozen ether and twisted metal, leaving nothing but an echoing silence in the storm.

Lili stands panting, her gun barrel smoking in the freezing air.

Sagira floats down, staring at the shattered remains of the Warrior, then up at the smoking hand cannon.

Lili spins the gun—whirr-click—and drops it back into her holster.

LILI-4

(A hint of her old self returning)

Light breaks Dark.

FADE OUT.

INT. VARIKS'S HIDEOUT - THE DRIFTER'S CORNER - LATER

The storm howls outside, but the small alcove is warm. The Drifter is gone, leaving only the glowing embers of his makeshift stove.

Lili-4 sits cross-legged on the floor.

THE LAST WORD is completely disassembled on a heavy cloth in front of her. She holds the cylinder in one hand and an oil-soaked rag in the other.

She works meticulously. Scrub. Wipe. Click. She is carefully oiling the mechanism, removing the faint, dark residue. She is scrubbing away the rust. It is a quiet, deliberate battle to keep the fire of her humanity alive against the creeping addiction of the ice.

Sagira floats nearby, her shell flanges relaxed for the first time in days. She watches the Exo reassemble the heavy hand cannon piece by piece.

LILI-4

(Without looking up)

I'm not going to turn into Yor, Sagira.

Sagira bobs in the warm air, her blue optic dimming affectionately.

SAGIRA

I know. But maybe... use the ice a little less tomorrow?

Lili slides the freshly oiled cylinder back into the frame.

Whirr-click.

It spins perfectly.

She stands up, sliding the heavy iron smoothly into the holster on her hip, exactly where it belongs. She looks toward the frosted window, staring out into the endless, freezing dark.

LILI-4

I'll use what works.

(She rests a hand on the grip)

But I won't forget the sun.

Lili steps away from the fire, the orange light reflecting off her frosted armor.

FADE TO BLACK.

(END OF EPISODE 2)

NEXT TIME ON DESTINY: NEW LEGACY...

Drawn deep into the frozen ruins of Europa by a haunting signal, Lili unearths the dark truth behind her creation. As the buried secrets of her past finally come to light, a devastating revelation forces her into an unexpected alliance that could fracture the Fireteam forever.

Dragon Ball: Divergence | S1E2: "Book of Legends" (AU Story)

[Master Guide] [<- Previous Episode]

Seeking the strength to overthrow King Vegeta, Ruco travels to the peaceful world of Planet Namek to consult the ancient Grand Elder Guru. Though his latent potential is unlocked in a staggering surge of power, Ruco quickly learns that raw strength alone won't be enough to change the violent destiny of his race. Deep within the forbidden Namekian archives, he uncovers a forgotten myth—and the blueprint for a divine power that could shatter the Frieza Force forever.

TITLE: DRAGON BALL: DIVERGENCE

EPISODE: 02 - "BOOK OF LEGENDS"

[SCENE START]

EXT. NAMEKIAN LANDSCAPE - DAY

Ruco walks across the vast, serene plains of Planet Namek. The three Warrior Namekians escort him, forming a loose triangle around him. They don't have him bound, but their eyes never leave him.

As they walk past a small Namekian village, agricultural workers tending to Ajisa saplings stop and stare. Whispers break out. Some of the younger Namekians hide behind the taller adults, their eyes wide with fear at the sight of the Frieza Force armor.

Ruco keeps his eyes forward, his posture rigid but non-threatening, absorbing the peaceful, harmonious way these people live. It is the exact opposite of Planet Vegeta.

In the distance, towering above the mesas, is a massive, naturally formed spire of rock. Atop it sits a large, dome-like Namekian structure.

EXT. GRAND ELDER GURU'S SPIRE - LATER

The group ascends the steep, winding steps of the spire. As they reach the top plateau, their path is abruptly blocked.

Standing before the entrance of the Grand Elder’s home is NAIL.

Even in Age 735, Nail is an intimidating presence. He is younger, but his aura is intensely sharp. He stands with his arms crossed over his chest, his eyes locked onto Ruco with lethal focus.

NAIL

(Voice low, authoritative)

Halt.

The three Warrior Namekians stop instantly. Ruco respectfully halts a few paces behind them.

NAIL (CONT'D)

Have you lost your minds? You bring a Saiyan to the doorstep of the Grand Elder?

LEAD NAMEKIAN

Nail, we found him touching down in the western sector. But... he didn't attack. He powered down his pod, surrendered without a fight, and asked to see the Grand Elder.

Nail’s gaze shifts to Ruco, scanning him up and down. He notes the lack of blood on Ruco's armor and the absolute calm in the Saiyan's Ki, but his skepticism remains thick.

NAIL

A Saiyan trick. They are the hounds of Frieza's army. If he is here, a fleet is not far behind.

LEAD NAMEKIAN

His ship's transponder was disabled. He traveled alone.

Nail drops his arms, his muscles tensing. His Ki begins to hum visibly, a white-hot aura flickering around his boots.

NAIL

I don't care if he walked here on his own two feet. No Frieza soldier steps foot in this house. Turn around, Saiyan, or I will remove you from this plateau myself.

Ruco stands his ground. He doesn't raise his guard, but he looks Nail directly in the eye, unflinching.

RUCO

I am not here on Frieza's orders. I have abandoned my post. I need the guidance of your leader.

NAIL

Lies.

Nail steps forward, raising a hand to strike—

GURU (V.O.)

(Telepathically, echoing in their minds)

Peace, Nail.

Nail freezes. The sheer weight of the telepathic voice carries immense warmth and ancient authority.

INT. GURU'S HOME - CONTINUOUS

Inside the dimly lit, cavernous room, GRAND ELDER GURU sits upon his massive throne. He is large, but visibly younger and more vital than he will be in the coming decades. His eyes are closed in deep meditation.

GURU

(Speaking aloud, his voice rumbling through the doorway)

Step aside, my child.

EXT. GURU'S SPIRE - CONTINUOUS

Nail looks back toward the doorway, his strict demeanor breaking into concern.

NAIL

Lord Guru, please. It is a Saiyan. It's too dangerous.

GURU (V.O.)

I have felt his approach since he entered our atmosphere. The energy surrounding this one is unusual. It is clouded by the sins of his people... but at its center, there is a profound, aching light.

Ruco's eyes widen slightly. He has never had his Ki read so deeply, so intimately.

GURU (V.O.) (CONT'D)

Let the Saiyan enter. His heart carries a heavy burden, not a blade.

Nail clenches his jaw. He looks at Ruco, his protective instincts warring with his absolute obedience to his creator. Slowly, reluctantly, Nail steps to the side, clearing the path to the doorway.

NAIL

(Whispering to Ruco)

Make one wrong move... flare your Ki even a fraction of an inch... and I will end you before you can blink.

Ruco nods in solemn acknowledgment.

RUCO

Understood.

Ruco walks past Nail and the other warriors, crossing the threshold into the dark, quiet sanctuary of the Grand Elder.

[SCENE END]

INT. GURU'S HOME - CONTINUOUS

The interior of the spire is vast, quiet, and cool. The air smells faintly of damp earth and incense. At the far end of the chamber, sitting atop a massive stone throne, is GRAND ELDER GURU. He is a giant, his green skin wrinkled with centuries of wisdom, though his posture is upright and vital.

Ruco steps into the center of the room. His heavy boots click against the stone floor, the only sound in the cavernous space.

He stops at a respectful distance. Without hesitation, Ruco drops to one knee, bowing his head. He places his right fist over his heart—a warrior’s ultimate sign of respect.

Guru slowly opens his eyes. They are deep, knowing, and entirely devoid of judgment.

GURU

(Voice rumbling, gentle)

A Saiyan who kneels. That is a sight I thought I would never witness in my long life. Rise, young warrior, and look at me.

Ruco lifts his head, but he remains kneeling.

RUCO

With respect, Grand Elder, I will stay as I am. I wear the armor of a tyrant, and the blood of countless innocents stains my history. I do not deserve to stand before you as an equal.

Guru studies him quietly, the faint hum of his spiritual energy filling the room.

GURU

You speak with the weight of a heavy conscience, Ruco. What has driven the hound to bite through its leash and seek shelter in the house of peace?

RUCO

An awakening. For my entire life, I believed what I was taught—that Saiyans are the pinnacle of the warrior races, born to conquer, born to fight. But on a routine purge, I saw the truth.

Ruco’s voice tightens slightly, the memory of the trembling alien family flashing through his mind.

RUCO (CONT'D)

We are not proud warriors. We are butchers. We destroy beautiful, peaceful worlds simply because Frieza points a finger. And we do it with smiles on our faces.

Ruco looks up, his eyes burning with a desperate, unyielding conviction.

RUCO (CONT'D)

This path will be our undoing. If we continue to live by the sword, we will die by it. Either the universe will rise up and crush us, or Frieza will realize our growing power and eradicate us himself. I cannot let my people be exterminated, nor can I let them continue to be the monsters of the galaxy.

GURU

And what is it you intend to do, young one? A single grain of sand cannot stop the tide.

RUCO

I am going to usurp the throne. I am going to tear down King Vegeta's regime, sever our ties to the Frieza Force, and forge a new destiny for the Saiyan race. We will become protectors, not conquerors. We will use our strength to defend the universe.

Ruco pauses, his pride completely stripped away, leaving only raw vulnerability.

RUCO (CONT'D)

But my power level is barely five thousand. If I challenge the King now, I will be slaughtered, and the hope of a peaceful Saiyan race will die with me. I have read the galactic archives. I know the Namekians possess ancient, spiritual wisdom. I am here to ask for your help.

Guru looks down at the kneeling Saiyan. The room falls into a profound silence. The Grand Elder closes his eyes, his mind reaching out, brushing against Ruco's soul.

He feels no deception. No lust for power. Only a burning, righteous desire to save his people from the darkness.

Guru opens his eyes, a small, warm smile forming on his face.

GURU

Step forward, Ruco. Let us see the true depths of this new destiny you wish to forge.

[SCENE END]

INT. GURU'S HOME - CONTINUOUS

Ruco stands up. He takes a deep breath and steps forward, walking up the short flight of stone stairs until he is standing directly in front of the massive Grand Elder.

Guru extends his large, green hand. He rests his wide palm gently on the top of Ruco’s spiky hair.

GURU

Close your eyes, child. Let go of the tension in your muscles. The strength you seek does not come from anger or the need to dominate. It comes from the deepest, most quiet parts of your spirit.

Ruco closes his eyes. He drops his shoulders, forcing himself to relax.

GURU (CONT'D)

You have lived your life with a cage around your soul, built by the cruelty of your society. I will now open the door.

Guru’s hand begins to emit a blinding, pure white light.

Instantly, Ruco gasps. The air in the massive chamber violently shifts. A gust of wind erupts from Ruco’s body, blowing the dust off the ancient stone floors.

A bright, brilliant aura flares to life around Ruco—not the chaotic, jagged yellow Ki of an angry Saiyan, but a smooth, intense, and perfectly controlled white flame.

The energy in the room spikes exponentially.

EXT. GURU'S SPIRE - CONTINUOUS

Outside, Nail flinches, his eyes widening in shock. The sheer pressure radiating through the thick stone walls is staggering.

NAIL

(Under his breath)

Impossible... his power... it’s multiplying...

INT. GURU'S HOME - CONTINUOUS

The white light fades. Guru slowly lowers his hand, a look of profound exhaustion but deep satisfaction on his face.

Ruco opens his eyes. The white aura around him vanishes, pulling seamlessly back into his body. He looks down at his hands, flexing his fingers.

The transformation is entirely internal, but the difference is staggering. He feels incredibly light, as if gravity has lost its hold on him, yet his muscles hum with an explosive, bottomless well of power. His Ki—once a turbulent stream—is now a roaring, perfectly calm ocean. He has leaped from a power level of 5,000 to over 30,000 in an instant.

RUCO

(Breathless)

I... I feel it. The energy isn't fighting me anymore. It’s... peaceful.

GURU

That is your true potential, unburdened by malice. You now possess the strength to dethrone your King. But raw power alone will not change the hearts of your people, nor will it save them from the tyrant Frieza.

Guru shifts his weight, calling out toward the heavy stone doorway.

GURU (CONT'D)

Nail. Enter.

Nail steps quickly into the room. He looks immediately at Ruco, his jaw tightening as his sharp senses register the Saiyan's astronomical new power level. Nail’s hand instinctively twitches toward his fighting stance, but he forces himself to stand down.

NAIL

Lord Guru. You summoned me.

GURU

Take our guest to the deepest chamber of the archives. Allow him to read from the Book of Legends.

Nail’s composure breaks. He stares at Guru, appalled.

NAIL

The Book of Legends? Lord Guru, please! That text contains the most sacred, ancient histories of the cosmos! It is forbidden to outsiders, let alone a...

Nail bites his tongue, glancing at Ruco.

GURU

(Firmly, but gently)

The history written in those pages is not meant to be hoarded, Nail. It is meant to guide those who have lost their way. This young man carries the fate of his entire race on his shoulders. He needs the truth.

Nail looks from Guru to Ruco. He senses no arrogance in the Saiyan, only quiet, respectful patience. Nail takes a deep breath, bowing his head in submission.

NAIL

As you wish, Grand Elder.

Nail turns on his heel, gesturing briskly for Ruco to follow.

NAIL (CONT'D)

Follow me. And keep your hands where I can see them.

Ruco bows deeply to Guru one last time.

RUCO

Thank you, Grand Elder. I will not waste this gift.

Ruco turns and follows Nail out of the throne room, stepping into the deeper, shadowed corridors of the ancient Namekian spire.

[SCENE END]

INT. ARCHIVE CHAMBER - CONTINUOUS

Nail leads Ruco down a spiraling, stone staircase. The air grows cooler and drier the deeper they go. Luminescent Namekian moss clings to the walls, casting a soft, blue glow.

They reach the bottom, stepping into a circular, cavernous room. The walls are lined with thousands of ancient scrolls and stone tablets.

In the exact center of the room stands a solitary stone lectern. Resting upon it is a massive, leather-bound tome. The cover is completely blank, worn smooth by centuries of use.

Nail stops at the edge of the room. He crosses his arms, clearly uncomfortable with being here.

NAIL

The Book of Legends. The collective history of the cosmos, recorded by the earliest Namekians before the universe was divided into sectors.

Nail nods toward the massive book.

NAIL (CONT'D)

Your people’s history is recorded in the seventh volume, near the middle. Read what you must, but do not touch the pages roughly.

Ruco nods. He walks slowly toward the lectern. He stares down at the ancient book, feeling the immense weight of the knowledge inside. He gently opens the heavy cover and begins turning the large, thick pages.

He flips past sections on ancient planetary alignments, the origins of the Kais, and the birth of magic.

Finally, he stops.

The pages are suddenly filled with detailed, hand-drawn illustrations of his own people. He sees depictions of the Great Ape transformation—massive, terrifying beasts roaring at full moons, crushing cities beneath their feet.

RUCO

(Reading aloud, translating the ancient text)

"The Saiyans. A warrior race bound to the cycle of the moon. Their strength is born of primal rage, their potential limitless, their mercy nonexistent."

He turns the page. The illustration changes.

Instead of an ape, there is a drawing of a single Saiyan warrior. But his hair is standing straight up, and he is enveloped in a brilliant, jagged aura.

RUCO (CONT'D)

The Super Saiyan... the legend is real.

Ruco’s eyes scan the text rapidly, his heart beating faster.

RUCO (CONT'D)

"A warrior whose power eclipses the stars, born of sorrow and fury."

He turns the page again. This time, the illustration is completely different.

It shows a Saiyan warrior, not consumed by rage, but standing peacefully. Surrounding him are five other Saiyans, all holding hands, transferring their energy into him. The central warrior is bathed in a serene, fiery red aura.

Ruco’s breath hitches. He reads the text beneath the illustration.

RUCO (CONT'D)

"Yamoshi. The first Super Saiyan. A righteous soul who sought to purge the evil from his race. He gathered five pure-hearted warriors, channeling their spirit into a divine vessel... the Super Saiyan God."

Ruco traces the fiery red aura of the central figure with his fingertip.

RUCO (CONT'D)

"His rebellion failed. But his spirit wanders the cosmos, waiting for the day six righteous Saiyans join hands once more."

Ruco stares at the image. The divine Ki. The pure hearts. The salvation of his entire race.

This is it. This isn't just a legend. It's an instruction manual.

Ruco looks up from the book, his eyes wide. He turns back to look at Nail, who is watching him quietly from the shadows.

RUCO (CONT'D)

(Whispering)

I know how to stop Frieza.

[FADE TO BLACK]

[END OF EPISODE 2]

Next time on DRAGON BALL: DIVERGENCE...

Armed with a new destiny, Ruco returns to the harsh, red-tinted capital of Planet Vegeta. However, a peaceful homecoming isn't on the agenda. Dragon Ball: Divergence | S1E1: "Spark of Rebellion" (AU Story)

[Master Guide] [Next Episode ->]

For generations, the Saiyans have operated as nothing more than butchers on a leash, happily purging peaceful worlds under Lord Frieza's command. But during a routine extermination, a mid-class warrior named Ruco reaches his breaking point and refuses to shed innocent blood. Disgusted by the endless slaughter, he crushes his scouter, abandons his bloodthirsty squadmates, and deserts the Frieza Force. Fleeing into the uncharted fringes of the galaxy, Ruco embarks on a desperate quest to rewrite the violent destiny of the Saiyan race before it destroys them all.

TITLE: DRAGON BALL: DIVERGENCE

EPISODE: 01 - "SPARK OF REBELLION"

TITLE CARD: AGE 735

[SCENE START]

EXT. DEEP SPACE - CONTINUOUS

The endless, inky black of the cosmos. A beat of silence.

Suddenly, THREE SPHERICAL ATTACK BALLS streak past the camera, leaving burning white trails in their wake. They fly in a tight, aggressive V-formation, rocketing toward a vibrant, blue-and-green planet in the distance.

INT. RUCO’S SPACE POD - CONTINUOUS

Bathed in the claustrophobic, dull red glow of the pod’s interior monitors, RUCO (mid-20s, sharp features, classic Saiyan spiky hair tied back) sits in the pilot’s seat. He wears the standard, rigid Frieza Force combat armor. His scouter is active, glowing with green alien text.

Unlike the bloodthirsty grin usually plastered on a Saiyan's face before a purge, Ruco’s expression is neutral. Almost tired. He watches the approaching planet through the circular viewport.

The pod’s COMM-LINK crackles to life.

OKARA (V.O.)

(Over comms, laughing)

Ruco, you seeing the readings on this dirtball? Average power level is barely pushing fifty. Fifty!

TATO (V.O.)

(Over comms, gruff and eager)

Are we sure this is the right coordinates? Lord Frieza’s brokers usually give us something that at least puts up a fight. I’m gonna fall asleep before my armor even gets dirty.

Ruco taps the console. A holographic display of the planet’s surface pops up—sprawling, peaceful cities integrated seamlessly with lush, towering forests. It's a civilization of artisans and scientists, not warriors.

RUCO

Coordinates are correct, Tato. It's an acquisition order, not a suppression. Frieza wants their medical technology intact. We clear the population, leave the infrastructure.

OKARA (V.O.)

Yeah, yeah. Exterminate the bugs, keep the hive. We know the drill. I call dibs on the southern hemisphere! First one to hit a thousand kills gets the other's meat rations for a week.

TATO (V.O.)

You're on, Okara! Try to keep up, Ruco!

Ruco sighs quietly. He leans back into his seat, the red light reflecting off his eyes. He has done this a hundred times. A thousand. So why does his stomach suddenly feel like lead?

RUCO

Just stick to the protocol. We touch down in the central plaza. Try not to blow up the tech centers we're supposed to be securing.

OKARA (V.O.)

(Scoffs)

No promises.

The pods hit the planet's exosphere. The circular viewport instantly turns into a blinding wall of orange fire as they begin atmospheric reentry. The pod shakes violently, the G-force pressing Ruco deep into his seat. He closes his eyes, his brow furrowing.

COMPUTER VOICE

Impact in 5... 4... 3...

EXT. ALIEN CITY PLAZA - DAY

A serene, beautiful plaza filled with crystalline fountains and gentle, alien civilians going about their day. They look up.

Three flaming meteors tear through the sky.

BOOOOOOOOOM!

The pods slam into the center of the plaza, shattering the crystalline ground, sending shockwaves of debris and dust tearing through the surrounding buildings. Screams erupt.

The dust begins to settle. The hiss of depressurizing hydraulics fills the air.

The heavy doors of the three space pods slowly lower.

From the smoke, Okara and Tato step out first, cracking their knuckles, sick grins spreading across their faces as the terrified locals scatter.

Ruco steps out last. The sunlight hits his face. He looks around at the fleeing civilians, then down at his own gloved hands.

[SCENE END]

EXT. ALIEN CITY PLAZA - CONTINUOUS

Chaos.

Okara and Tato don’t hesitate. They crouch, aura flaring violently around them, and rocket into the sky, leaving craters where they stood.

OKARA

(Screaming with glee)

Let’s see them run!

Okara extends both hands. A barrage of rapid-fire yellow Ki blasts rains down from the sky. The crystalline buildings shatter like glass. Explosions rock the city, sending plumes of black smoke into the pristine atmosphere.

Tato dives into the fleeing crowd, laughing maniacally. He doesn't even use Ki—he just uses sheer physical force, backhanding civilians through stone walls and tossing hover-vehicles like toys.

TATO

Seven! Eight! Nine! I’m already at twenty, Okara!

In the center of the plaza, Ruco stands perfectly still.

The wind whips his hair. The screams of the dying and the deafening roar of explosions surround him, but he doesn't move. He watches Tato blast a bridge in half, sending dozens of civilians plummeting into the waters below.

Ruco looks down at his hands again. They are trembling. Not from adrenaline. From disgust.

He slowly walks forward, his boots crunching on the shattered glass of the alien architecture. He ignores a stray Ki blast that strikes the ground a few feet away. He is entirely detached from the "glory" of the hunt.

INT. ALIEN RESIDENCE - CONTINUOUS

Ruco steps through the blown-out doorway of a domed, high-tech residence. The interior is dim, the power grid clearly failing. Dust motes dance in the beams of sunlight piercing through the collapsed roof.

He hears a sound. A quiet, desperate shuffling.

Ruco turns his head, his scouter beeping faintly. He walks toward a collapsed support pillar in the living area.

Huddled beneath the debris is an ALIEN FAMILY. Two parents shielding a small, terrified child. Their skin is a pale, luminescent blue, their clothes elegant but torn. They are completely defenseless.

The father looks up at Ruco. His eyes are wide with an instinctual, primal terror. He tightens his grip around his child, bracing for the inevitable flash of light.

ALIEN FATHER (Translated through scouter)

(Voice cracking)

Please... just let them go. Take me.

Ruco stops.

He looks at the father. Then at the mother, who is silently weeping, holding her child’s face to her chest so they don't have to watch.

Beat.

Ruco’s scouter clicks.

OKARA (V.O.)

(Over comms, breathless and excited)

Ruco! What’s your count? I just cleared out the western quadrant! There’s a whole group of them hiding in the transit tunnels; it’s like shooting fish in a barrel!

Ruco doesn't answer. He just stares at the family.

He imagines his own people—Gine, his friends, the children of Planet Vegeta—huddling in the dark while a monster stands over them. He realizes, with a sickening drop in his stomach, that he is the monster.

The Saiyans aren't proud warriors. They are butchers on a leash.

Slowly, deliberately, Ruco reaches up to the side of his head. He grips his scouter.

CRUNCH.

He crushes the device in his palm. The comms go dead. He drops the broken pieces of plastic and glass onto the floor.

He looks back at the alien family. The father flinches, expecting a blast.

Instead, Ruco powers down his Ki. The oppressive, heavy gravity of his presence vanishes. He takes a step back, giving them space.

RUCO

(Softly)

Stay here. Don't make a sound.

The family stares at him, utterly bewildered.

Ruco turns his back to them and walks out of the ruined doorway, stepping back into the burning city. His face is no longer conflicted. It is set in stone.

[SCENE END]

EXT. ALIEN CITY PLAZA - SUNSET

The once-pristine plaza is now a smoldering crater. Ash falls from the sky like gray snow.

Ruco stands silently next to the three space pods. Stacked neatly beside his pod are several metallic, high-tech crates—the medical and technological salvage Frieza requested.

From the smoke, Okara and Tato emerge. Their armor is scuffed and stained, but they are practically buzzing with adrenaline. Tato is wiping his face with the back of his gauntlet.

OKARA

(Panting, grinning)

Three hundred and forty-two! Tell me you didn't beat three hundred and forty-two, Tato!

TATO

(Spitting on the ground)

Three hundred and eighty. You owe me your rations, slowpoke.

Tato notices Ruco standing by the pods, spotless. He looks down at the stacked crates, then back up at Ruco with a sneer.

TATO (CONT'D)

Look at the choir boy. While we were out doing the actual heavy lifting, you were playing intergalactic luggage handler.

OKARA

Hey, someone’s gotta pack the boss’s shiny new toys. Frieza pays for the tech, we get paid for the fun. Did you even throw a single punch, Ruco?

Ruco’s expression remains completely blank. He doesn't take the bait.

RUCO

The objective is secured. Load up. We're done here.

Ruco turns and climbs into his pod, the heavy door hissing shut behind him. Okara and Tato exchange a look, rolling their eyes at his stiff demeanor, before loading the crates and climbing into their own pods.

EXT. ALIEN PLANET ATMOSPHERE - CONTINUOUS

The three pods rocket upward, leaving the burning surface behind. They breach the atmosphere, plunging back into the cold, silent void of deep space. They settle into their tight V-formation, cruising toward the coordinates for Planet Vegeta.

INT. RUCO’S SPACE POD - CONTINUOUS

The rhythmic hum of the engine fills the cramped space. Ruco stares out the viewport. He watches the reflection of the burning planet fade away in the glass.

His hand hovers over the pod’s central console.

He can't go back. Not yet. Not to King Vegeta's throne room, not to the endless cycle of slaughter.

Ruco taps the console. A holographic map of the galaxy projects into the small cabin, illuminating his face in a pale blue light. Stars and planetary systems drift past as he physically swipes through the sectors.

He pushes past the Frieza Force's controlled territories. He scrolls into the uncharted fringes.

He mutters to himself, recalling a passing rumor—a whisper of an ancient, mystical race with a deep connection to the universe's spiritual energy.

RUCO

(Quietly)

Namek... where are you?

He types a series of archaic coordinates into the computer. The map spins wildly before locking onto a distant, isolated star system. A green and blue planet blinks on the hologram.

COMPUTER VOICE

Destination updated. Warning: Coordinates lie outside authorized Frieza Force patrol routes. Deviation will be logged.

Ruco doesn't hesitate. He reaches up and flips a heavy, manual switch on the dashboard, completely disabling the pod's tracking transceiver.

RUCO

Not anymore.

He grips the manual flight stick and pulls it hard to the left.

EXT. DEEP SPACE - CONTINUOUS

The three pods are flying in perfect synchronization.

Suddenly, the pod on the far left—Ruco's pod—ignites its secondary thrusters. It violently breaks formation, banking sharply away from Okara and Tato.

Within seconds, Ruco’s pod becomes a solitary streak of light, rocketing off into the uncharted depths of the cosmos, leaving his old life behind.

[SCENE END]

TITLE CARD: THREE MONTHS LATER

EXT. PLANET NAMEK - DAY

The sky is a brilliant, emerald green. Three suns hang peacefully in the atmosphere, casting a warm, shadowless light over a landscape of vibrant blue grass and crystal-clear turquoise lakes.

The silence is broken by a low, humming whine.

Ruco’s space pod descends from the clouds. But unlike the violent, meteoric crash on the purged planet, the pod’s retro-thrusters fire in calculated bursts. It hovers inches above the ground before settling into the blue grass with a soft thud. No explosion. No crater. Just a gentle landing.

Instantly, the air crackles with energy.

THREE WARRIOR NAMEKIANS touch down around the pod, forming a tight perimeter. They are tall, imposing, and clad in dark purple martial arts gis with white scarves. Their hands glow with concentrated Ki, and their expressions are hardened. They recognize the Frieza Force design of the pod.

The pod’s pressure seal hisses. The heavy door slowly descends.

The Namekians drop into combat stances, bracing for the inevitable Saiyan assault.

Ruco steps out into the green sunlight. He looks weathered from three months of isolation, his rigid Frieza Force armor feeling heavy and unnatural on him now.

He doesn't flare his aura. He doesn't sneer.

Instead, Ruco looks at the glowing Ki in the Namekians' hands, takes a slow, deep breath, and deliberately raises both of his hands above his head, palms open.

A gesture of absolute, passive submission.

The Warrior Namekians blink, visibly thrown off. The glowing Ki in their palms dims just a fraction, though they don't break their stances. A Saiyan surrendering before a punch is even thrown is a mathematical impossibility to them.

The LEAD NAMEKIAN narrows his eyes and speaks harshly.

LEAD NAMEKIAN

(In Namekian)

Paglik na ru, Frieza-jin! Taka no moto?

Ruco keeps his hands raised, his voice calm and steady.

RUCO

I don't understand your language. But I am not here to fight.

The Namekians exchange a quick, guarded glance. The Lead Namekian steps forward, his tone shifting into the universal tongue, though dripping with suspicion.

LEAD NAMEKIAN

You wear the armor of a conqueror. You fly the ship of a tyrant. Yet you land softly and raise your hands like a coward. State your business, Saiyan.

RUCO

My name is Ruco. I wear this armor because it is the only life my people have ever known. But I am here... to find a new one.

Ruco slowly lowers himself, dropping to one knee in the blue grass, bowing his head respectfully to the warriors.

RUCO (CONT'D)

I seek the wisdom of your Grand Elder. Please.

The Namekians stand in stunned silence. The wind blows across the serene landscape, rustling Ruco’s spiky hair as he kneels before them, completely at their mercy.

[FADE TO BLACK]

[END OF EPISODE 1]

Next time on DRAGON BALL: DIVERGENCE...

Leaving the Frieza Force behind, Ruco ventures into uncharted space in search of the mystical Planet Namek. But arriving in peace is harder than it looks when he comes face-to-face with Nail and a squad of skeptical Namekian warriors ready to defend their home. Granted an audience with the ancient Grand Elder Guru, Ruco's true, unburdened potential is violently unlocked, granting him an unimaginable surge in power.

From 17 episodes of sci-fi fanfic to launching my first original slice-of-life script!

I just wanted to share a massive personal milestone with this community! For a while now, I’ve been pouring my soul into a long-running Destiny fanfiction script series titled Destiny: New Legacy. I just dropped the premiere of Season 3, making it 17 full episodes of sci-fi action, deep lore, and character arcs.

Writing all that action and dialogue was the best bootcamp I could have asked for. It taught me how to actually structure a story and pace a scene. Because of the confidence I built writing fanfiction, I finally took the leap and started writing my first entirely original series: a slice-of-life anime screenplay called Summer in the Countryside (Inaka no Natsu).

The crazy thing is realizing how much fanfic actually prepared me for this. Plotting original lore, formatting the screenplays, and even setting up Master Directories feels so much more natural because of the work I put into my fanfic. Just wanted to celebrate that leap today and encourage everyone to keep writing!

Destiny: New Legacy | S3E1: "Europa" (AU Story)

[Master Guide] [Next Episode ->]

(Read in Lili-4’s mechanical voice)
For the first time since Sagira woke me up in the Prison of Elders, the screaming static in my head is completely quiet. But that silence comes with a heavy price. I can feel the ice creeping into my chassis, and if I stay in the City, I know I'm going to end up hurting Cooper and Val. I had to cut the comms and leave them behind. That signal we found wasn't just a map to a frozen wasteland—it's a Golden Age recall trigger. The Deep Stone Crypt is calling me home, and I have to go to the source to find out why. Even if it means stepping out of the Light to do it.

TITLE: DESTINY: NEW LEGACY

SEASON: 03

EPISODE: 01 - "EUROPA"

SCENE START

INT. ASTERA BLADE - COCKPIT - ORBIT

The ship is dark, lit only by the blinking amber lights of the nav-console.

Lili-4 stands by the pilot’s chair. She looks different. Heavier. She is strapped into thick, fur-lined thermal gear—the CRYSTOCRENE set.

On her hip sits THE LAST WORD. But her hand doesn't rest there. It rests on a pouch at her belt, where a jagged, dark blue SPLINTER OF DARKNESS pulses with a faint heartbeat.

She is packing a rucksack. Ammo. Rations. Painkillers.

She picks up her Vanguard Communicator. She stares at it for a long beat, then sets it on the console. She hits record.

LILI-4

Cooper. Val.

She pauses. The "static" in her head—the constant glitching noise—is quiet. The Darkness silences it.

LILI-4

Don't follow me. The signal... It’s not just a map. It’s a recall code. A Golden Age trigger.

She looks at her hands. They are steady, cold.

LILI-4

If I stay, I’m going to hurt someone. I can feel the ice growing. I have to go to the source.

She stops recording.

BEEP-BEEP.

A hail flashes on the HUD. INCOMING TRANSMISSION: RHYS COOPER.

Lili’s finger hovers over the "Accept" button. She remembers his fury at her using Stasis.

She hits IGNORE.

She punches the throttle.

EXT. SPACE - ORBIT

The Astera Blade engages hyperdrive, streaking away from the safety of the Inner System and toward the massive, bruised giant of Jupiter.

EXT. EUROPA - ATMOSPHERE

The ship screams into the atmosphere.

Europa is a hellscape. A frozen moon wracked by perpetual blizzards.

INT. ASTERA BLADE

The turbulence is violent. Alarms scream.

COMPUTER WARNING: NO-FLY ZONE. ATMOSPHERIC SHEAR AT 300%.

LILI-4

(Calm, almost sedated)

Hold together, girl.

CRUNCH.

The wind shears a stabilizer off the port wing. The ship spins.

Lili fights the stick, wrestling the ship down toward the endless white sheet of the glacier.

EXT. EUROPA - EVENTIDE RUINS - DAY

BOOM.

The ship hits the ice. It skids for three hundred meters, carving a trench in the frozen wastes, before coming to a grinding, steaming halt against a buried Golden Age skyscraper.

EXT. EUROPA - THE WASTELAND - CONTINUOUS

The airlock hisses open. The wind howls instantly—a deafening roar.

Lili steps out. The whiteout conditions reduce visibility to zero.

SAGIRA materializes. She is shivering—her shell flaps vibrating to generate a thermal field.

SAGIRA

Lili! My sensors are bottoming out. It’s -200 degrees. Your hydraulics will freeze if we stop moving.

Lili pulls her fur collar up. She checks her tracker.

The signal isn't a ping anymore. It’s a roar. A digital scream that rattles her core.

LILI-4

It’s loud, Sagira. It’s screaming.

SAGIRA

I don't hear anything but wind!

LILI-4

It’s the Deep Stone Crypt. It’s calling me home.

Lili trudges forward, boots crunching on the ice. She spots a shape in the snow ahead. A silhouette.

She draws THE LAST WORD, thumbing the hammer.

It’s a FALLEN VANDAL. It stands frozen in mid-scream, rifle raised.

Lili approaches. She touches the alien. It feels like stone.

It isn't dead from exposure. It is encased in a jagged, dark blue crystal.

SAGIRA

(Horrified)

That’s not ice. It's in some form of stasis.

Lili stares at the frozen corpse. She feels a tug of recognition. A hunger.

LILI-4 Eramis is here.

FADE OUT.

INT. EUROPA - COMMS RELAY - DAY

Lili tracks the signal to a frosted heavy-metal door. She doesn't knock.

CRASH.

She kicks the door off its hinges. She enters low, THE LAST WORD raised and hammered back.

The room is filled with jury-rigged Fallen tech. At the console, frantically typing with four mechanical arms, is VARIKS, THE LOYAL.

He freezes, chittering in fear.

LILI-4

(Aiming at his head)

You sent the signal? You called the Exos here?

Variks raises his upper hands in surrender.

VARIKS

Variks called Guardians! Variks called for help!

He gestures to the screens, showing troop movements.

VARIKS

Eramis... she has found the dark power. She freezes the world.

K-RASH.

The reinforced glass windows shatter inward.

LILI-4

Get down!

Lili tackles Variks as a squad of HOUSE SALVATION SOLDIERS breaches the room. Their armor is thicker, fur-lined.

They don't fire Arc rifles. They throw blue, glowing canisters.

STASIS GRENADES.

SNAP.

A field of Stasis erupts. Lili shoots two Dregs—BANG-BANG—dropping them instantly.

But a Captain hits her with a Stasis blast.

POV - LILI-4 SYSTEM ALERT: MOBILITY COMPROMISED. STATUS: SLOWED x10.

Lili tries to dodge. She can't. Her hydraulics whine against a crushing, invisible weight. Her gun feels like it weighs a ton. Her aim drags.

LILI-4

(Gritting teeth)

I can't... move...

VARIKS

We must flee! The tunnel!

EXT. EUROPA - SNOWFIELD - MOMENTS LATER

Lili and Variks burst out of the relay, stumbling into the blizzard.

THUD-THUD-THUD.

The ground shakes. A massive STASIS BRIG (mech walker) stomps into their path, blocking the escape. Its main cannon glows with deep purple Void energy.

Lili shoves Variks behind an ice shelf.

LILI-4

Stay down.

She steps out. She reaches for the Light. She tries to summon her ARC STAFF.

LILI-4

Spark.

She ignites the blue current.

FIZZLE.

The extreme cold and the oppressive darkness of Europa ground the electricity before the staff could materialise.

Lili stares at her empty hand.

LILI-4

I’m empty.

The Brig charges its cannon.

CRACK.

A high-velocity sniper shot rings out. It hits the Brig’s sensor array, blinding it.

On the ridge above, a figure materializes from thin air.

ELSIE BRAY (THE EXO STRANGER).

She wields NO TIME TO EXPLAIN (Pulse Rifle). She doesn't use Light.

She touches the ground.

STASIS WALL.

A wave of jagged Stasis crystals erupts from the ice, encasing the Brig’s legs.

Elsie slides down the ice ramp she created. She raises her rifle.

BURST-BURST-BURST.

The bullets hit the frozen metal.

SHATTER.

The Brig’s legs explode into shrapnel. The massive machine topples over, crashing into the snow.

Elsie lands in a crouch in front of Lili.

Lili falls to her knees, systems failing, freezing.

LILI-4

(Panting)

Who... are you?

Elsie stands up, holstering her rifle. Her glowing blue eyes are filled with pity and resolve.

ELSIE BRAY

Someone who has lived this timeline enough times to know you're going to freeze to death if you stay here.

Elsie offers a hand.

ELSIE BRAY

The Light cannot save you here, Hunter. You need to fight fire with ice. Look.

She points to the horizon.

The clouds break for a second. In the distance, looming dark and monolithic over the glacier, is the DEEP STONE CRYPT facility.

Lili stares. The static in her head spikes with recognition.

LILI-4

I know that place. I’ve dreamt of it.

ELSIE BRAY

It’s not a dream. It’s where you were born. And it’s where we’re going to kill the past.

EXT. BEYOND - THE ZIGGURAT - LATER

The storm has calmed to a whisper. They stand before the ZIGGURAT—a massive pyramid structure facing the Euclidean nightmare of the Pyramid Ship.

Floating at the top of the steps is a SPLINTER OF DARKNESS.

Sagira floats frantically between Lili and the Splinter.

SAGIRA

Lili, no. This is what corrupted the Fallen. This is what broke Osiris.

Lili looks at the Splinter. It pulses. Thump-thump.

Then she looks at the Deep Stone Crypt in the distance.

The screaming signal in her head stops completely when she gets close to the Darkness.

LILI-4

It’s quiet, Sagira. For the first time... It’s quiet.

Lili bypasses her Ghost. She walks up the steps.

SAGIRA

Lili!

Lili reaches out. Her fingers brush the floating Splinter.

SNAP.

Instant frost creeps up her arm, covering her metal plating in dark blue ice. It hurts, but it clears her mind.

Elsie watches closely, her hand near her weapon, just in case.

ELSIE BRAY

Control it. Or it will control you.

Lili clenches her fist, the ice cracking but remaining a part of her. Her eyes glow blue.

FADE TO BLACK.

(END OF EPISODE 1)

Welcome back, Guardians!

It’s been a quick 10 days since the "Salvation" finale, and I couldn’t wait any longer but we are officially back for Season 3 of Destiny: New Legacy! Last season pushed our newly forged fireteam to their absolute limits against the Nightmares, but Europa is an entirely different kind of cold. I’m incredibly excited to dive into this new frontier and see how Lili, Rhys, and Val handle the frozen wastes—and the dark secrets buried beneath the ice. Thank you for sticking around during the short hiatus—the real storm is just rolling in

Pokémon: Chronicles | S1E1: "The Journey Begins" (AU Story)

[Master Guide]

TITLE: POKÉMON: CHRONICLES

EPISODE: 01 - "THE JOURNEY BEGINS"

SCENE 1

AIDEN

 My mom—

LUCY

 (Already dragging him)

 I’ll text her!

ELIZA

 (From the doorway)

Aiden, honey, who’s your new friend?

AIDEN

 (Being pulled away)

This is Lucy! She’s... taking me to get a Pokémon?

LUCY

 (Waving, big smile)

Don’t worry, Mrs. E! I’m an insured trainer! I'll keep an eye on him!

Eliza blinks, baffled but charmed.

LUCY

 (Unfazed, checking her Holo Caster)

It’s fine, just don’t make eye contact with the Furfrou stylists, they’ll try to give you a makeover.

Did you forget your Pokédex again?

LUCY

Funny, Professor. I brought you a new project.

 (She shoves Aiden forward)

This is Aiden. He’s from Hoenn. He’s thirteen. And he has no Pokémon.

Sycamore's eyebrows shoot up.

PROFESSOR SYCAMORE

Thirteen! My goodness. A late bloomer, are we? Or just very patient?

AIDEN

 Just... moving. Sir.

PROFESSOR SYCAMORE

Well, no matter! Starting your journey is a moment to be celebrated, at any age. Let’s find you a partner.

Sycamore leads them to a podium. Three Pokéballs open.

Out pop: CHESPIN (grinning, energetic), FENNEKIN (prim, preening), and FROAKIE (small, nervous, bubbles around its neck).

Chespin immediately tries to show off. Fennekin turns its nose up. Froakie just watches Aiden, looking just as out-of-place as he feels.

AIDEN

 (To Froakie)

 You’re new here, too, huh?

Froakie tilts its head, then nods almost imperceptibly.

AIDEN

 (To Sycamore)

 I’ll take him. Froakie please.

PROFESSOR SYCAMORE

An excellent choice! Froakie, the Bubble Frog Pokémon.

As Sycamore hands Aiden a Pokédex and five Pokéballs, a new voice, dripping with disdain, cuts through the lab.

JACE (O.S.)

 You're just starting? How pathetic.

JACE (14) leans against a doorway. He's dressed in expensive, custom-tailored gear. A powerful, mean-looking AXEW stands at his feet. Jace's jacket is adorned with FOUR BADGES.

LUCY

 (Groans)

Oh, great. Jace. Shouldn't you be bothering the Gym Leader in Coumarine City?

JACE

Already beat him. Just stocking up.

 (He sneers at Aiden)

So this is the new talent? A cast-off from Hoenn and a...

 (He glances at Froakie)

 ...used tadpole.

Froakie visibly bristles, bubbles "frobbing" around its neck.

AIDEN

 Hey, don't call him that.

JACE

 (Laughs)

 Or what? You'll splash me?

(He holds up his badge case)

Four badges. My Axew could flatten your entire "team" before I've finished my espresso. Don’t bother trying the league, newbie. You’ll just be an embarrassment to Kalos.

Jace snaps his fingers. His Axew snorts and follows him out.

Aiden stares at the floor, his new confidence shattered. Froakie looks at Aiden, then glares at the door Jace left through.

PROFESSOR SYCAMORE

 (Adjusts his lab coat)

Don’t let Jace discourage you. Skill is not determined by one's starting line. It is determined by the bond you forge.

 (He smiles)

 Now, go. Your journey awaits.

Lucy nods, looking serious.

LUCY

 C'mon, Aiden.

She pulls him out of the lab, this time with more purpose.

SCENE 4

EXT. ROUTE 2 - AFTERNOON

The path back to Vaniville Town. It's a quiet, leafy route.

Aiden holds Froakie's Pokéball, staring at it.

AIDEN

He... was right. I don't know anything. I’m already thirteen. Jace has four badges. You’ve probably got badges, too.

LUCY

 (Stops walking)

One. From Viola in Santalune. But that’s not the point. Jace is a jerk who buys expensive TMs and power-levels. He’s not a trainer. He’s just a collector.

AIDEN

 What's the difference?

Lucy smirks.

LUCY

A collector has Pokémon. A trainer partners with them.

(She steps back, pulling a Pokéball)

Which is why it's time for Lesson One: The Basics of Battle.

AIDEN

What? Now? Against you? I just got him! He doesn’t even know me!

LUCY

Best way to get acquainted. Let's go, Fletchling!

Lucy tosses her ball. Her Fletchling emerges, chirping and ready.

AIDEN

 I... I don't know what to do!

LUCY

Sure you do! You’re from Hoenn, land of Water-types! He’s Water, she’s Flying/Normal. You have the advantage! Now send him out!

Aiden fumbles with his Pokéball.

AIDEN

 O-okay... Froakie, I choose you!

Froakie appears, looks at Fletchling, then at Aiden. It looks terrified. So does Aiden.

LUCY

 (Crossing her arms)

You get the first move. Call it a handicap.

SCENE 5

EXT. BATTLEFIELD (ROUTE 2) - CONTINUOUS

AIDEN

 (Panicked)

 Froakie! Uh... use Bubble!

Froakie spits a weak stream of bubbles. Fletchling zips into the air, dodging them easily.

LUCY

You have to aim! Fletchling, use Peck!

Fletchling dives, glowing, and strikes Froakie hard. Froakie is knocked back, skidding in the dirt.

FROAKIE

 (Weakly)

 Froa...

AIDEN

Froakie! Oh no! Are you okay?

LUCY

 (Sighs)

Don't panic, Aiden! You're the trainer! If you panic, he panics. What's Fletchling's advantage?

AIDEN

She's... she's too fast! She's in the air!

LUCY

Exactly! So what do you do?

Aiden looks at Fletchling, hovering. He looks at Froakie, crouched on the dusty path. He looks at the dirt. An idea clicks. It’s not about power. It’s about strategy.

AIDEN

 (A new determination)

Froakie! Don't aim for Fletchling! Aim for the ground right in front of her! Use Bubble!

Froakie, surprised, trusts him. It fires a steady stream of bubbles at the patch of dirt beneath the hovering Fletchling, turning it into a slick, soapy mud puddle.

LUCY

 (Confused)

 What?

AIDEN

 Lesson Two?

LUCY

 (Grinning)

 How to catch a Pokémon.

She steps into the shadows of the forest. Aiden, clutching Froakie, follows her in.

FADE OUT.

[END OF EPISODE 1]

NEXT TIME ON POKÉMON: CHRONICLES…

Aiden and Froakie venture into the dense shadows of Santalune Forest, where Lucy introduces Lesson Two: catching a wild Fire-type Pokémon to counter their first Gym. But between a tense run-in with the stylish remnants of Team Flare and Gym Leader Viola's web-filled greenhouse battlefield, Aiden will have to rely on true strategy rather than beginner's luck to secure the Bug Badge.

(Episode 2 drops Tuesday, 6/23/26!)

Author’s Note:

Hello everyone, and welcome to the premiere of my new
series! I’m stepping away from the sci-fi trenches for a bit to try my hand at something new.

This is an episodic, OC-insert series set in a post-XY Kalos, meaning Team Flare is running around as a splintered remnant rather than a world-ending superpower. We'll be following Lucy driving Aiden’s journey through the Gym circuit.

I’m treating this like a serialized show, so buckle up for a long ride. Feedback and critiques are always welcome!

Behind the Scenes of Destiny: New Legacy — Designing the Fireteam in-game

Hey everyone! With Season 2 officially wrapped up, I wanted to share a little bit of the process behind bringing the cast of Destiny: New Legacy to life.

I wanted their appearances to be completely true to the game's engine, so I actually went ahead and created a brand-new alternate account just to build out Lili-4, Rhys Cooper, and Naxi Val in the character creator. Seeing them move from script descriptions to actual in-game models has been incredible.

Since I can't post images directly here, I pinned the full illustrated Character Profiles thread right at the top of my profile page! It features their in-game designs along with a deep-dive look at their armor progression, ghosts, and backgrounds.

If you want to put a face to the names before Season 3 drops on June 19th, check out the pinned post on my page!

Destiny: New Legacy | S2E8: "Salvation" (AU Story) (Season Finale)

[Master Guide] [<- Previous Episode]

(Read in Eris Morn's haunting cadence)
"The Hive have long sought to extinguish the Light. But Hashladûn seeks something far more dangerous: a union with the Dark. As the Vex Gate awakens with nightmare energy, she does not just open a door—she invites the Black Garden to take root upon our Moon. The Misfit Trinity races against the storm, but how do you stop the past when the artifact on your back is whispering for you to let it in?"

TITLE: DESTINY: NEW LEGACY

SEASON: 02

EPISODE: 08 - "SALVATION" (SEASON FINALE)

SCENE START

EXT. LUNAR BATTLEGROUNDS - THE VEX GATE - NIGHT

A massive, dormant VEX GATE dominates the landscape. It is ancient, stone eroded by eons of lunar dust, and choked with metallic vines that look suspiciously like the flora of the BLACK GARDEN.

HASHLADÛN floats before the ring.

She isn't chanting the scratchy, violent magic of the Hive. She is speaking in a low, resonant tone—mimicking the deep hum they heard in the Pyramid ship.

Below her, a squad of HIVE KNIGHTS kneels in submission.

HASHLADÛN

(To the Darkness)

Take the flesh. Give us the shape.

She clenches her fist.

SNAP.

The Knights implode. Their green soulfire is ripped from their bodies, twisting and darkening until it turns blood red.

The energy flows into the Vex Gate.

THRUM.

The gate activates. But there is no white radiolarian fluid. The portal swirls with thick, violent RED NIGHTMARE ENERGY.

HASHLADÛN

The Sol Divisive worship the Dark. But they lack a voice.

She turns to face the approaching roar of engines.

HASHLADÛN

I will be their Queen. I will bring the Garden here.

EXT. MOON - CANYON RUN - CONTINUOUS

ENGINES ROARING.

Three SPARROWS tear across the grey landscape, kicking up massive rooster tails of dust.

LILI-4 is in the center. Strapped to her back, wrapped in Dreambane cloth, is the UNKNOWN ARTIFACT.

It is heavy. Not physically, but ontologically. It drags at her mind.

THE ARTIFACT (V.O.)

(Whispering in her code)

You are weak. You are broken. We can fix you.

Lili grits her teeth, her HUD glitching with blue static.

LILI-4

(Whispering back)

Shut up. Shut up.

RHYS COOPER flanks her left. NAXI VAL flanks right.

Ahead, the canyon is blocked.

The red mist coalesces. Massive shapes form.

NIGHTMARE OGRES.

NIGHTMARE FALLEN WALKER.

The road is closed.

RHYS COOPER

Blockade! No braking!

NAXI VAL

Accelerate.

The team operates as a single organism now—the "Misfit Trinity" finally in sync.

The Walker charges its main cannon.

Cooper revs his engine. He boosts directly at the tank.

RHYS COOPER

Val! Shield!

Val doesn't slow down. She casts a HEALING RIFT—but she projects it forward, blanketing Cooper’s Sparrow in white light just as the Walker fires.

The blast washes over Cooper, absorbed by the overshield.

At the last second, Cooper hits the eject button.

ACTION BEAT:

Cooper launches into the air. His Sparrow slams into the Walker’s legs, detonating.

Mid-air, Cooper summons his BURNING MAUL.

CRASH.

He slams the hammer down onto the Walker’s exposed neck. The tank collapses in a heap of burning scrap.

Lili speeds past the wreckage. The Ogre roars, raising its fists to smash her.

Lili stands up on her Sparrow seat, boots locked to the pedals.

DRAW.

She fans THE LAST WORD.

BANG-BANG-BANG.

Hip-fire perfection. Every shot hits the Ogre’s glowing eye. The Ogre flinches, blinded, stumbling backward.

Lili zooms underneath its legs.

LILI-4

Clear!

They skid into the clearing of the Vex Gate.

Cooper lands (heavy thud). Val glides down. Lili drifts her Sparrow to a halt.

They look at the gate. The RED VORTEX is screaming. The pressure of the Darkness emanating from it is physical—a wind that smells of petrichor and ancient metal.

It hits them like a wall.

WHAM.

Lili staggers, gasping. The Artifact on her back pulses in time with the gate.

LILI-4

(Breathless)

It’s open...

FADE OUT.

SCENE CONTINUES

EXT. LUNAR BATTLEGROUNDS - THE VEX GATE - NIGHT

HASHLADÛN screams, her voice tearing a hole in reality.

The red mist explodes outward. From the rift steps the ultimate trauma.

NIGHTMARE OF CROTA, EATER OF HOPE.

He is colossal. Translucent red, wreathed in shadows. He drags a Cleaver the size of a truck through the dust.

RHYS COOPER

(Shield up)

On me!

Cooper sprints forward. He leaps, activating SENTINEL SHIELD. A massive wall of Void Light forms.

Crota swings.

BOOM.

The impact drives Cooper into the lunar soil up to his shins. The ground cracks for thirty feet in every direction. Cooper grunts, his armor groaning under the weight of a god.

RHYS COOPER

He hits harder than the stories said!

NAXI VAL

Clear the feed!

Val blinks—VWIP—teleporting across the arena. She enters NOVA WARP. She explodes in bursts of Void energy, disintegrating the Acolytes feeding energy to Hashladûn’s shield.

Lili aims THE LAST WORD at the Wizard.

LILI-4

Got you.

THUMP-THUMP.

The UNKNOWN ARTIFACT on her back pulses violently. It throws off her aim. A shot goes wild.

POV - LILI-4

AUDIO: DEAFENING STATIC.

SYSTEM ALERT: CRITICAL INTERFERENCE.

Lili falls to her knees, clutching her helmet. The noise is a physical drill in her brain.

In the center, Crota roars. He swings again.

CRASH.

Cooper’s Sentinel Shield shatters like glass. The Titan is thrown back, defenseless.

Crota raises the Cleaver for the execution stroke.

LILI-4

NO!

She screams.

The Artifact responds. Not to her Light, but to her desperation.

Lili rips the Artifact off her back. She holds it up like a lantern.

ACTION BEAT:

It doesn't glow with the Light. It glows DEEP BLUE.

A shockwave of Stasis energy erupts from Lili.

KRRR-SNAP.

The sound of a thousand glaciers breaking at once.

The energy hits Crota. It doesn't kill him.

It FREEZES him.

The massive Nightmare is instantly encased in a block of black ice. The Cleaver stops inches from Cooper’s neck.

The battlefield goes silent.

Hashladûn stares, floating back in terror.

HASHLADÛN

You... possess the Deep.

Lili drops the Artifact. She stands up. Her optics are flickering blue.

She draws THE LAST WORD.

LILI-4

(Coldly)

Yours. Not mine.

BANG-BANG-BANG-BANG.

She fans the hammer. Four rounds into Hashladûn’s exposed face.

The Wizard shrieks.

Cooper recovers. He scrambles up, summoning a SOLAR HAMMER.

RHYS COOPER

Shatter!

He throws the hammer at the frozen Crota.

KA-BOOM.

Thermal shock. The frozen Nightmare shatters into a million shards of red ice. The explosion catches Hashladûn, vaporizing her in a combined blast of Light and Dark.

EXT. LUNAR BATTLEGROUNDS - MOMENTS LATER

The Vex Gate powers down. The red mist evaporates.

Silence returns to the Moon.

The UNKNOWN ARTIFACT floats in the air between them. It projects a holographic star map.

It highlights JUPITER.

Then, it zooms in on a frozen moon. EUROPA.

PING... PING... PING...

A distress signal plays. It is rhythmic, precise.

SAGIRA

That's... that's a Golden Age frequency. Clovis Bray.

Lili stares at the map. The static in her head is gone, replaced by the rhythm of that signal.

LILI-4

I know that signal. It’s calling me.

Cooper limps over, checking his cracked chest plate.

RHYS COOPER

Europa is a frozen wasteland. There's nothing there.

NAXI VAL

(Staring at the hologram)

There is something. Skuld sees a shadow over the ice.

Lili looks at her hand. Thick frost is still clinging to her metal fingertips.

She clenches her fist.

CRUNCH.

The ice shatters.

LILI-4

I’m going. With or without you.

Cooper looks at Val. Val nods. Cooper sighs, racking the charging handle on his rifle.

RHYS COOPER

Then I guess I'm buying a coat.

CUT TO:

EXT. EUROPA - FROZEN WASTELAND - DAY

A blinding blizzard whips across the ice. Jupiter hangs massive and bruised in the sky.

A HOODED FIGURE stands on a jagged ridge, cloak whipping in the wind.

She watches the sky.

Breaking through the clouds, a massive PYRAMID SHIP descends toward the glacier.

The figure turns. Glowing blue eyes. An Exo.

ELSIE BRAY (THE EXO STRANGER).

ELSIE BRAY

It has begun.

FADE TO BLACK.

(END OF EPISODE 8)

(END OF SEASON 2)

🎥✉️ From the Desk of the Producer

This season, we watched Lili-4 descend into the crushing dark of the Scarlet Keep and face the ghosts of a legacy she barely understood. Alongside Rhys Cooper and Naxi Val—our newly forged Misfit Trinity—she learned that survival sometimes requires walking the dangerous line between Light and Dark. From enduring the psychological weight of the Pyramid ship to shattering the Nightmare of Crota with Stasis, her evolution has been an absolute thrill to write.

But today’s finale carries a much heavier weight than just the end of a season. Today is June 9th, marking the final live-service update for Destiny 2. It is a profoundly bittersweet moment for all of us. We are celebrating a monumental universe that gave us unforgettable battles, rich lore, and a community that turned a game into a shared home, while simultaneously mourning the end of a definitive era. Writing Destiny: New Legacy has been my personal love letter to this franchise, a way to keep the engine running and the stories alive even as the official servers look toward the horizon.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone on DestinyJournals who has read, commented, and followed along. Your enthusiasm is the spark that keeps this project moving. While the live-service road may be coming to an end, Lili's journey is far from over. The Unknown Artifact has pointed us toward the frozen wastes of Europa, and a new storm is brewing. I hope you’ll brave the blizzard with us.

Thank you for your readership, today and always. Eyes up, Guardians.

EmeraldKing8 👑

Production Note: Destiny: New Legacy will be taking a short, ten-day hiatus to gear up for the next chapter. Season 3, Episode 1 will premiere on Friday, June 19. 2026. See you on the icy cliffs of Europa!
