Learning Languages Tips/Speech is worse

Does anyone have tips for managing fluency when learning and practicing new languages?

I've noticed that my speech is *much worse* when I try to practice a foreign language and I would really love to be able to be bilingual...I just get so frustrated with not being able to speak.

I'm thinking that it gets worse because I can't change words mid-sentence like I do in my native language + added anxiety of...well, speaking in a different language.

Does anyone have advice?

I turn 40 this year and want it to be a memorable one. I'm hoping to gather some fun ideas!

I've done a lot of traveling in the past and am now a garden gremlin at home. I was thinking of doing a sort of whimsical garden party, maybe have a tarot card reader, cozy lights, etc.

I'm single + never been married, so there's part of me that wants to throw myself a party to celebrate myself, 40, and just to have a good little party...but also...budget-friendly. 😅😆

What did you do to celebrate?
