I want to buy a house/duplex atound montreal in the next 2 or 3 years. My mom is going to give me 30k. Currently i have 37k in my tfsa, 50k in my rrsp and 9.7k owed in my line of credit (tied to my tfsa). All of that is in wealthsimple. I also have a car payment. I owe about 6.5k on the car.
I want to know what i can do with the 30k in order for it to grow until i buy my house/duplex.
I'd like to go to cancun a the end of the year. It would be my first time ever going to mexico. I'd like to visit especially going to chichen itza, but also live in a comfortable hotel and maybe do some snorkeling ? I'm going with my bf. What would be the budget ? I'm in Montréal, Canada. I'd like to visit and eat elsewhere than the hotel.

My damn internet disconnects every 30 fcking seconds from my phone. It's not a phone problem because it does that with my bf's phone and my computer. Both our phone brand new too and we had that problem with the previous ones. Just writing this it has disconnected 2 times already. I called bell and they sent someone. He just changed the router and it didn't change a thing. A second person came and he said everything was working just fine.
It's driving me crazy. Thankfully i have a lot of data with my phone provider, else i'll be probably out of data every month. I should've stayed with virgin. It never did that. And yes i know they use the same infrastructures and yet i never that problem with them.

J'ai 35 ans et je suis fonctionnaire depuis 2 ans. J'ai un reer et un celi dont je n'ai pas encore atteint le plafond ( y a de la marge j'ai commencé en mars 2025). Si par miracle j'atteins mon plafond au reer et celi, est ce que je dois soustraire le 9% du rregop du 18% maximum en cotisation et donc cotiser 9% au reer ou comment ca se passe ? Merci.
