I love going into outpost and trying to have fun and scrolls attempt to get decent loot for once only to be met with two of the most insufferable players ever who seemingly refuse to support me the entire game (no triage drones and just taking everything even if they don’t need) to just culminate in them refusing to revive me in pinwheel because i took a purple shield to help and be useful (they both already had them) just a miserable example of what trying to compete with randoms in what should be a team focused setting like outpost and cryo looks like
Something has been bothering me about this
gun since bf2042 and it’s yet again repeated in bf6 now as well
I’m talking about the fact that this gun has repeatedly come out as a dmr with the ability to transform into a smg/carbine, but that doesn’t work with the damage numbers and ttk when it keeps the same stats as its dmr form. In bf4 this gun was the AS-VAL, a internally suppressed carbine with slow projectile speed (in bf4 relativity) with decent damage, fire rate, and stability, it felt really balanced for what it was and still felt fun to use.
My issue with bf6-2042’s iteration is that this gun starts as it’s slightly more iconic real life variant being a marksman rifle with good damage, good projectile speed, slow fire rate, and stability, but then the issue begins because you can transform it into all of the same things the bf4 iteration was but with insane damage and ttk, it’s been this way for 2 games now, you can tell the devs want to have both variants of the same gun without designing two set in stone variants with fitting stats, so it just ends up being a meta war where this gun now has insane dps and will eventually be nerfed and just be another AS VAL fill in. Not to mention it costs 40 fucking points to make the gun the full auto iteration of the same gun lmaooo
I feel like the devs should just have both guns be different with matching statistics to prevent meta creep
I’m trying to get more into the deeper parts of this game since I spent the opening launch weeks just parading around in mid tier loot and exfilling without actually trying to get anything good, I have no idea how people reliably unlock secret loot spots on any map and have literally just today tried cryo archive ( we got wiped by a triple purple squad bc my randoms were running green shields)
I’m trying to get the cryo skins and get my hand into how to get better loot and have more fun naturally
I’m like a month and a half late to this season and i’m desperately trying to speed up my leveling process so i can unlock that legendary assassin skin before it disappears, does anyone know the best definitive ways to level up? my faction contracts don’t seem to help a lot
