Core Theory: MAD STOMP
With my series Frame Thoughts coming to an end, I've decided to start a new little thing I'm titling Core Theory. In these posts, I'd like to both share my own thoughts, and collect you guys' opinions, nitpicks and profanities on the various NPC presets of AC6. Is this an original idea? No, but what under the sun is?
And for part 1... who else could start us off? Who else but The Man?... okay it's mostly because I'm going lowest-highest in arena order, but still.
It's MAD STOMP: the AC of RaD's very own Dubiously-Vincible Rummy. Calling it an Armored Core — rather than a meth-head's design blueprint for a bipedal demolition vehicle — feels like a borderline lie by omission. It isn't particularly fast, it isn't tough enough to compensate for that speed, it has two weapons and the worst arms possible for one of them, and it has these huge Yowie feet yet somehow still looks top-heavy. So in short, tens across the board, the ace of aces, best thing ever built, RUMMY SWEEP
What are your thoughts on MAD STOMP? Love it? Hate it? Meh?

For those wondering, the inside of AC Arms are two pieces of Rebar. There is nothing else
I finished my first playthrough of ac6 yesterday. I decided to play a bit more of NG+ with my new mech builds; this one in particular is especially to my liking. What do you think
I actually can't put in words how much I love this Fucking glory of a mech!!!
I finally killed Pater and Hawkins, I spent 2 days trying.
I'll say, I'm not the best player at this, but I've managed by modifying my ACs and using different equipment depending on the opponents, but these guys were the worst, especially because it seemed like the flatwell was only dying out.
This was the first time I used the flamethrowers. I remembered that the enemy who used them could easily throw me off balance if I wasn't careful, so I decided to use them against Pater, who doesn't have the best balance.I succeeded on my first try using both the flamethrower and the quadrupedal legs.
Additional note: I probably misspelled some names, I don't know the correct English names, and others I just forgot.
Okay. What do you think about this AC-like weapon design?
First time doing proper mecha weapon design.
So, as I mentioned before, Xyrable is supposed to be bulky, and since it has some elements taken from post-USSR countries I will give it homage on AK-47 but weirder. And what is weird? Right. AC2 weapons design. I always through for some reason what EWG-GSH8 had 3 barrels while currently I suspect what lower "barrel" is most likely a shell pump or gas tube, eigher way it's BULKY and at same time kind of SLEEK so Xyrable weapons will follow this design philosophy to contrast a little with mechs which are bulky AND more cubic.
So, this what are different from AK? As you can see it's generally shorter in question of proportions (obviously it will be sized up on mecha level), second is lack of wooden part on top side of AK muzzle which now replaced with more sharper and flatter part. Next is removal of rifle butt as mechs arms grip is good enough to minimise recoil with just weapon handle. The weirdest part I really liked is huge as fuck magazine which extends to and replaces lower part of AK wooden frame (or how do we call this thing?) since again mecha doesn't need to hold this weapon in 2 hands. Oh, and obvious visual sensor under barrel because why not?
I did small break from a 3D modeling but returning to it. I tried my sister tablet for drawing textures for hands so I will have to redo them since I didn't expected digital pen to have in-build opacity and messed up some textures because of this.
Are all of the AC games a 'necessity' to play?
Best title I coukd think of that wasn't 'what game should I play'. To preface, I know you dont need the previous ones to play AC:6. I know there are different gens, and I know that there are 3 (4?) Different timeliness. I have AC:4A on the PS3 as I was under the impression it was the equivalent of a modern day 'deluxe edition' i.e base game + DLC type of thing. However that mya not be the case and it IS actually a sequel?
I wanted to start from the beginning as I love bi LG robot and I thought ' this will be fine, I assume the named ones (for example, Master of Arena) is just the 'better' version of the number (for example Armored Core 1)'. However...is this not the case?
If someone could please explain that to me thatd be great thanks you 😭😂
Singleplayer for me, muliplayer is not needed for me
Any games with similar atmosphere?
I played AC6 about 2-3 years ago and I haven't been able to stop thinking about its world. It's a stellar game all around, don't get me wrong, but what particularly captured me was the scenery. Just the sheet magnitude of it all, the views, the endless, artificial structures stretching as far as the eye can see, the vast plains, the cities that still seem so gigantic to you even in your 20 meters tall mech. Playing the game for the first time and seeing it all was such an incredible feeling that I've been chasing ever since.
How do the other installments compare in this regard? Are there any other games that could scratch the itch?
How the hell do I S-rank AC4's first mission on hard mode?
This feels utterly bullshit. No matter what build I take into this mission I can't kill the Normals fast enough anf take too much damage. I've tried missile spam but the tracking missiles like the Cheyenne02 seem to not actually work like they should. I've tried machine guns but they're too expensive. I've tried swords but the Normals keep jumping away just in time.
Is this even possible?
Hope this hasn’t been posted before
Whaltherh when I forgor to equip the right launcher (the worm and the snail are angy)
Still in disbelief...
I can't remember if it was this sub or another, but someone said you can S rank "Escort the Weaponized Mining Ship" mission with using nothing but bazookas." I thought, lol yea, ok. Even after watching his video I was still incredulous. This mission is a fucking thorn in my side, no way can I "S" this bitch with four fucking bazookas. I was right, I couldn't use four bazookas because I was too heavy and had to replace one bazooka with a grenade launcher. The short of it is, I fucking got the S in literally half the time of my previous attempts in the first fucking try. I couldn't stop geeking out about it lol. Moral...don't over think this game. Somehow knowing I could just do that made this game more freeing, I can't explain it. Anyway, happy hunting, and don't think too hard about your build sometimes, just go apeshit and it might work. Thanks to the OP who made that post I'm referring to.
First AC ever

The only game I have played that ever even came close to feeling like armored core For Answer was Doom Eternal which feels insane cause they're not even similar in anything else other than just how it feels
Just a thought I've had since eternal came out. Wondered if anyone felt the same or had any other games that give them that itch in the back of their head that armored core does.
