To whom in admissions do I send a letter of continued interest?

I was waitlisted at Vandy, and am working on my LOCI, but I can’t figure out where I am supposed to send it. Everything I’ve read says it should go to a specific person in the admissions office, but I’ve never had any contact with a specific person, and so it kind of seems weird to me to just pick someone and send it. I can’t even figure out from Vandy’s website who the regional admissions officer for where I went to high school is. It also seems like a bad idea to just send it to the generic admissions office email. So I don’t know what to do.

Any ideas on this? Thanks.

Has anyone used Tirzepatide compounded with B6?

I am considering switching from the online provider where I have been ordering my compounded Tirzepatide to Brello because their prices are pretty much unbeatable. However, Brello adds B6 to their Tirzepatide, and I am a bit worried about that. I’ve read that the B6 can cause weird acne breakouts and body rashes.

Has anyone tried Tirzepatide or another GLP1 compounded with B6? If so, what has your experience been, good or bad?

Where do I send my Vandy LOCI?

I was waitlisted by Vandy last week, and I can’t figure out where I am supposed to send my letter of continued interest, and I don’t know where to tell the two people who are writing additional letters of recommendation for me to send those. Some sources say I should send it (email it) to the admissions officer who handles my region of the country, but that seems like it might be weird since I’ve never had any contact with that person. But maybe I should use this opportunity to introduce myself? Or should I just send it to the general admissions email address?

Also, when I write my letter, should I say something like, “although I have been accepted to other schools, Vanderbilt is my first choice.” It’s true that I have been accepted to other schools, but I don’t want to sound cocky.

What are people’s thoughts?

I’m not accepting my Emory admissions offer

Just so people in this sub know, I won’t be accepting my Emory admissions offer (I will let them know on Monday), so there will be a spot opening up on the waiting list. 😊

I am currently a freshman at a T15 liberal arts college in the northeast that hasn’t turned out to be the right fit for me, despite it having been my dream school. For that reason, I have applied to transfer to several schools, including Emory (which hasn’t released its transfer decisions yet - should be sometime next week). I plan to study public policy/poly sci.

I would really appreciate hearing from people who know Emory well regarding what it’s like for transfer students. Is it possible to find and make friends fairly easily as an incoming sophomore? I have heard that Emory isn’t a school with much of a social life unless you really work hard at it, and I’m worried that if that’s the case for students who start out as freshmen together, it would be extremely challenging build a social life and friend group if I were to enter as a sophomore. I really don’t want to feel like it’s an exhausting effort to make friends.

As far as Greek life goes, I don’t want to be in a sorority, and while I am not opposed to swinging by a frat party now and then, I don’t see Greek parties being a cornerstone of my college social life. So would that be problematic? Do other campus groups throw parties?

Also, while I know what a fantastic city Atlanta is, it seems like it might be very car-centric for students, and I would not have a car sophomore year. Is there stuff going on on campus at night and on weekends, or does most stuff take place off campus, meaning pretty much everyone drives to where social activity is taking place?

Last, do most sophomores live on campus, or does everyone move into apartments off campus after freshman year?

Thanks for any feedback!

My insurance has just quit paying for the brand name GLP1 that I have had prescribed for me for the last six months, so I need to switch to a compounded semaglutide. I would prefer to have my own doctor continue writing my prescription for this (she’s very happy to do that), and take my prescription to a local compounding pharmacy, rather than using one of the zillions of random websites that sell compounded GLP1s.

I have called around town, and so far, the local compounding pharmacies I’ve spoken to only offer sublingual versions of compounded semaglutides. However, I want to continue using a weekly injectable form. Does anyone know of any compounding pharmacy in the area that offers injectable compounded semaglutides? Extra bonus points if you have used the pharmacy yourself, and can share what your experience has been with them.

Thanks!

I am currently trying to find the best provider for compounded semaglutide because my insurance has cut me off after six very successful months on brand Ozempic. Two of my local compounding pharmacies tell me they offer daily use sublingual compounded semaglutide. I’ve never heard of this. Does anyone know whether this is actually an effective delivery system for compounded semaglutide? I’d really appreciate any feedback or info anyone has on this. Thanks!
