I noticed a friend of mine got a small mower recently, and it seemed pretty nimble, if I remember correctly, it was the Goat 0600. I've been looking for a robotic mower that fits a smaller lawn, as my yard isn't huge but the layout is a bit messy with a lot of flowerbed edges and narrow paths. I used to think a small lawn would be easy enough to handle manually, but in reality, those fiddly details take up a lot of energy. The RTK navigation setup seems like it would be plenty for a relatively open small yard, and the positioning accuracy should be quite a bit stronger than machines that rely purely on vision.

Is the 0600 worth picking up, or are there other recommendations I should look into?

Spring hasn't even fully kicked in yet, and I'm already dreading the lawn care season. Honestly, the whole routine, mowing, watering, and edging, is such a headache. The edging is the worst, spending half the day hunched over is a total killer.

I've been looking into robotic mowers lately, and it feels like the tech has come a long way. But I have to ask, once you switch to an automower, can you really just set it and forget it? Or do you still end up having to manually fix the edges and corners?

I'm currently weighing my options. My yard layout is a bit complex, so I'm looking for recommendations on a model with lidar that's solid at obstacle avoidance and mapping. I've also seen some talk about trimming tech, if that can actually cut down on the manual edging, that would be a huge plus. Any specific brands you guys would rec?
