Hi everyone,

I’d really like to know how other parents check that their child’s hearing aids are still working properly and giving the correct level of sound.

My daughter has severe-to-profound hearing loss, so I worry that the hearing aids may seem to be working because they produce sound, but might not actually be performing well across all frequencies.

What do you personally do to check them? Do you use any device at home, ask the audiologist for a specific test, or follow any regular routine?

Please share the actual tests, tools, or checks you use, how often you do them, and anything you think I should specifically ask the audiologist to perform.
