just so defeated
i’ve been sick since the 4th of july but for a long time i didn’t know what i was sick with. it started w very odd symptoms- just feeling out of it, general body pain. passing out once, extreme coldness or hotness but no fever, pain only when swallowing but no other time, ear pain, etc. It was so unusual. On july 19 i woke up and my voice sounded muffled and almost as if i was choking to get words out. I also felt nauseous. I checked and saw my tonsils were really white.. i assumed i had strep. When i tried to lay back down my tonsils were pulsating and i could genuinely feel my airways closing- i’d wake up gasping for air many times throughout the next week. I couldnt chew or swallow or eat. Eventually i went to the ER and they prescribed me dexamethasone for a week. I went to my PCP as well where i tested positive for both mono and lyme disease .. i also got a cat scan which showed my liver was damaged and my spleen very large. bloodwork obviously rlly wacky but just for things that effect my liver. my dr thinks that the lyme disease was a false positive and decided against starting me on treatment for that. is that common?
by beginning of august i felt so so much better but immediately after my rx for dexamethasone ended all the throat symptoms came back, i suddenly have 10+ cankersores?, extreme swollen glands (i went back to the dr and the first thing she said was asking me why my neck and face was so swollen?) and so did this new absolute exhaustion feeling and leg pain. also vision feels very blurred? it feels like im right back to the beginning of this. i am very defeated and worried abt everything happening to my body.. should i be really worried abt my liver ? is it rlly common to also test positive for lyme? i dont feel as tho i overexerted too hard but my symptoms are so severe again i must have..
I feel honestly just so defeated and sad about everything.. :(
