Didn't get the job I thought I would...

Feeling quite disheartened and I'm hoping someone can cheer me up.

Had an interview for a job I was extremely excited about the Friday before last. I thought it would have been perfect for me, they said they were really excited to meet me after my application, I thought the interview went fantastically. The internal recruiter lady even called me after and said they had had very positive feedback but needed to wait on internal discussions and I should hear back the following week.

I didn't, until Thursday where she apologised and told me they were waiting internally on results still due to leave. Okay, fair enough.

And then today I get the rejection. Rather generic one as well. Really feels like a blow and I'm genuinely pretty upset.

Would greatly appreciate your thoughts to motivate me again.

Landlord leaving things in the flat

Hi

Me and my friend moved into a new flat last week, which has been great so far, except for the landlord or potentially the previous tenants have left the place stocked with things we don't want or need.

I.e. the kitchen is full with crockery, cutlery, old pots and pans, there are duvets shoved in the wardrobe, there are towels in the dressers, there is an entire second mattress on my friend's bed.

Maybe nice in sentiment but we are paying rent to be living here for at least a year and we now have nowhere to put our kitchen things specifically. There is essentially no general storage area - no random closet, attic or basement, to shove everything.

I'm going to just email the letting agent and ask if they can come get it all, but because I fear letting agents are pretty useless and probably won't do anything, would we be able to remove it / donate it if they did not? It was sold on a furnished basis but we were not told these things would be here. We checked and the things aren't listed on the inventory report - it actually says 'mugs, plates and crockery do not form part of the report'. Has anyone dealt with anything similar ?

Thank you

First success I'm sure of

I've known about NG for years now but it's only been for the last month that I've been trying to genuinely implement his teachings into my life. It does follow a breakup, but this time it has finally been about more than just that.

Anyway I've been slowly building my faith in the law with little things. Finding a necklace I thought I had lost, a free iced coffee (Starbucks were handing out tins), a text message about a potential job opportunity.

But I had the first 'oh wow' moment yesterday. Me and my ex were in no contact for a month now, I went to a event yesterday I knew he was also going to but we didn't speak or anything before it.

I've been half heartedly affirming "he is always texting me" etc, trying to change the state for the last month or so, not really because I'm desperate for it but more because I think it would be nice to experience that because the breakup left me a bit tattered. Anyway, on the way to the concert I was again, half heartedly making affirmations in my head, more so as an experiment - re: "I will be seeing him at the concert" "I don't need to miss him because I'm seeing him shortly".

So I get there and get in, I'm kind of looking around for him for a bit and then eventually I forget about it and focus on the opening act. And then by chance I see him turning around and looking in my direction, a few rows in front of me.

(Side note this was maybe a bad idea to manifest lol because it made me very anxious for a bit.)

To put things into context, this venue holds over 60,000 people. I knew we were both standing, but even still that has a capacity of about 10k and the tickets were sold out.

We ended up meeting afterwards (this isn't really related to me seeing him at the venue and didn't really happen in the way I would've liked) and talking etc. Turns out he actually had been messaging me, trying to. But he was blocked, so I didn't get them.

I don't know I just felt like sharing. I'm very grateful to have learnt about the law and I'm more grateful that I've stuck with it enough this time to actually start building belief. Big thanks to this sub.
