ITF set as draft?

Hello. My fiancé started his VA application in august 2025. He continued the application and finished the initial claim on may 11th 2026. We have his final C&P exam today but I noticed his initial application is still listed as a draft on his VA portal. Do you know if this will mess up the ITF for his claim? I have no clue how this happened because we didn’t open up a new application- just finished the pre existing one. We were gonna call the VA and see what happened but figured I’d post on here in the meantime.

VA ratings for Idiopathic hypersomnia/narcolepsy before MSLT

Hello! I’m posting for my fiancé. I wanted to know if anyone’s gotten a rating for IH/N2 while still waiting for their MSLT test. He has left the military but has a good medical record of worsening fatigue that started in service. He saw a sleep doctor and his assessment was ‘probable’ idiopathic hypersomnia. But we still have over a month till his MSLT to confirm diagnosis and/or rule out narcolepsy.

my understanding is the MSLT is to differentiate between Narcolepsy and IH- so he’ll have one or the other. Side note: He has sleep apnea (in service) and is treated by CPAP. But both IH/N2 are rated under epilepsy. His sleep attacks, symptoms, etc are all in his private medical records and he had his C&P exam. The examiner noted everything but stated the lack of an MSLT may cause a problem despite his progression of symptoms being well documented. We suspect we’ll have to test done by the time VA makes a decision, so hopefully they’ll take the new data into account but I wanted to see if anyone’s been successful getting a rating while waiting for an MSLT.

Thank you!

Orexin agonists and pregnancy/ breast feeding

Hello! NT1 here. I know we are still waiting for approval for tak 861- along with continuation of trials for other agonists, but does anyone know if they do any studies/testing on if it’s likely to be pregnancy safe? I’m due my baby at the end of the year when tak 861 should already be out (assuming approval) and I’d like to start it straight away but wanna know what I should expect on breastfeeding safety if on it along with if I would have to stop if I got pregnant again.

Calculating SSDI benefit amount estimate when disability starts AT 22

Hello! I’m in the middle of my SSDI application. I’m confident it’ll get approved and I have enough credits. I’m currently being covered by private disability insurance through my old employer but I’m trying to figure out how benefits are determined.

Some sources state income before 21 isn’t considered? But maybe that’s for those over 24? It’s hard to find info for those claiming disability between 22-23 so I appreciate any information.

I worked part time for a year from age 20-21 (2022-2023), then took a year off for my degree- then started working full time just after my 22nd birthday (in June 2024) until my disability started in March last year. I heard the disability I payment is based on every tax year? Does that mean my payments are likely to be a lot less since my work history was spread between multiple years instead of having a condensed work history within a single year?
Thank you
