Behavior is too embarrassing
My husband and I very reluctantly agreed to coach my 7 year old son’s baseball team, they sent out multiple emails begging for a coach, so even though I knew better, we agreed to do it. For context, I love baseball and so does my son, but his behavior is so bad regardless of all the pep talks, etc. It’s so embarrassing I want to crawl into a hole. I have adhd myself so it’s extra dis regulating and I just feel so damn sad. In the past I haven’t volunteered cuz I’m usually focusing all my energy on managing his behavior. It’s clear I won’t be able to coach again. Also, my husband is a wonderful father but he’s got whatever the opposite of adhd is, anti disciplinarian etc, just is unbothered.
