Hey everyone,
I’m using an X‑M5 with the TTArtisan 27mm and I’ve really enjoyed it so far. I love how tiny the setup is and it’s been a great first lens. The only thing I’ve run into is how far back I need to stand to fit things in the frame, which made me realize I may need something more flexible.
That led me to picking up a Sigma 18–50mm f/2.8 (got a great deal on it), and now I’m trying to figure out whether I should keep both lenses or return the TTArtisan while I still can. The Sigma seems like it could cover almost everything I shoot, but the 27mm makes the camera feel so small and fun to carry.
For anyone who’s used both:
Is the TTArtisan worth keeping long‑term, or does the Sigma basically take over its role?
Thanks for any input.
EDIT:
Thanks for all the feedback! I’ll ultimately just keep both! The size and price of the TTArtisans is negligible enough to just keep. And for more background, I daily carry my camera in a Vertx backpack with a Peak Design Camera Cube. I also run the PD Capture Clip on my bag so carrying both lenses and not an issue. Thanks for all the feedback!
Just some pics from my first real outing with the XM-5. I absolutely love this camera!
How are we thinking the Steam Machine will run GrForce Now? Think it will be able to do 4k@120fps? From my understanding it will only have hdmi 2.0 but will have DisplayPort 1.4. So it should be capable. Just hoping it will do AV1 decoding and have VRR.
What controllers are yall recommending for utilizing GeForce Now with a Mac Mini? TIA
New bike day! Just picked up this 96’ Cannondale M300 “Bud Light” edition. It’s extremely clean with hardly even a scratch anywhere. The build plan is a 1x10 Shimano deore drivetrain, v-brakes, Velo orange klunker bars, Billy bonkers, and brooks saddle. Luckily I have all those parts laying around minus the bars and the brooks saddle. 2nd picture is an AI rendering of how it should look more or less
Greetings, I’m interested in getting a Surly! I love the overall aesthetic and modern capabilities it has. For some background, I restore 90s rigid mountain bikes as a hobby and absolutely love those things. So I’m looking for a Surly similar to that but with all the latest bells and whistles( i.e., hydraulic disc brakes, 1x setup, and possibly thru-axles). Which current model lends greatest to this? Thanks in advance!
