To All The Freshers of 2030 batch ..
Wellcome you all to NIT Durgapur. Hope you all are excited for the upcoming and best 4 years of your life .. you will remember these years your entire life hence make this time worth it .. work hard , work smart and along with working dont forget to enjoy too ..
Additionally i would like to address the issue that most of the freshers or juniors are afraid of Zones and ragging.. I want to make this clear , apne college me ragging nahi hota .. seniors are really good if you can find good seniors .. rest i am not saying bad they are good in their own way .. but nobody raggs .. which you are calling ragging that is just senior junior friendly interaction that too will happen if you join any zone ..
So i am requesting you all not to join any zoin and not form any forms of groups amoung yourselves..
Bhai see meet good seniors who dont smoke dont drink , has good cgpa, good in tech .. bas iske alawa aur kisise miloge toh zone in hone ke lie approache karenge seniors .. but its quite normal and simple to say NO to those .. no buddy will you say you anything.. initially first sem ya 2nd sem me mana kardoge toh fir aur koi tumko approach nahi karega .. and you will be totally fine .. you can roam around in campus do anything nobody will care .. its not mandatory to become zone in .. make good peers and enjoy your college life ..
And to all the juniors of 2026 who are coming to first year .. pls dont get indulge in zone related discussion or activity in campus and you will be totally fine..
Mind it, Its your duty to make our campus and our college a healthy place to study and live for your batch and for future batches too..
So make you, yourself and your college proud..
